Exploding Kittens (2 Player Edition)
Exploding Kittens 2 Player Edition Exploding Kittens is a kitty-powered version of Russian Roulette. Players take turns drawing cards until someone draws an exploding kitten and loses the game. The deck is made up of cards that let you avoid exploding by peeking at cards before you draw, forcing your opponent to draw multiple cards, or shuffling the deck. The game gets more and more intense with each card you draw because fewer cards left in the deck means a greater chance of drawing the kitten and exploding in a fiery ball of feline hyperbole. This compact 2-player edition of Exploding Kittens lets you go head to head with just one other person, whenever, wherever. Exploding Kittens is a highly strategic, kitty-powered version of Russian Roulette. Draw an Exploding Kitten and you lose. Play and use other cards to make someone else draw the Exploding Kitten, so they lose and you win. This is the same Exploding Kittens that you know and love, but made for only two players. Smaller, travel-friendly, compact box for on-the-go explosions. This family-friendly party game can also be combined with the original edition Exploding Kittens game.

My son and I played this game together and it was really easy to learn. The instructions provided were very clear and concise. You essentially are trying not to get the exploding kitten because that ends the game unless you have cards that will defuse the situation. While you are playing, you are trying not to pick up the exploding kitten. You are also trying to get your opponents defuse card do they have a better chance at picking up the exploding kitten and ending the game. After one game you can pick up some strategy techniques. This will definitely be traveling with me!

I must say this game is funny and a blast to play. I can see why so many people like it. We love it and would give the game five stars except for two issues. The first is that it is simply a card game. However, honestly that wouldn't bother me as much if not for the second issue. The production quality of the cards are low. Most of the regular decks of cards I've played lasted longer than these. Within a few games we were seeing wear on the cards that took some of the mystery out of what was in another players hands. Especially if you can memorize things like that. Now after about 15 games every card is marked by wear on the edges in some manner. With kids being hard on games as it is these cards aren't built for rowdy or hard playing. I would encourage the game ... MoreI must say this game is funny and a blast to play. I would encourage the game developers to invest in a thicker card with a heavier wax like the ones many other card decks are made with. It's a hilarious game to play!

This game is a lighthearted, elaborate and silly version of the Russian roulette. You have to avoid picking the exploding kitten card which makes you lose instantly (unless you can defuse it!). To achieve that, the other cards offer different strategies like skipping a turn, seeing the future (peeking at the upcoming cards in the deck), blocking the opponents move with a NOPE card, making your opponent pick multiple cards and two ways to take cards from their hand. Each action card has a funny caption which added to our fun. It was easy to understand the rules and get started. My 9 year old and I really enjoyed playing this. This 2 player version allows us to play a quick 20-25 mins game on school nights. I plan on gifting the full version to my niece on her ... My kids (ages 10, 10, and 7) really love this game a lot. They enjoy looking at the pictures on the cards and the funny things that are written on them. My ten year olds were able to read the instructions and play the game without any guidance or input from me. It's always a win when the kids can find a game they enjoy playing on their own that doesn't require a lot of help from me. My only regret is that we picked the two player version instead of 5 player because they sometimes start arguing over who gets to play. Be careful when opening the box, I accidently ripped the box a little because I didn't notice the packaging had little clear stickers over the box flap. The stickers were easy to remove, I just wish I had noticed them sooner.
I just got this game for my kids and it is so much fun! It took a few minutes to learn how to play because there are all different kinds of cards that do different things. Basically, the point of the game is to not draw an exploding kittens card and force someone else to. Thats where the cards come in.The cards have whacky pictures by a famed artist. They also have the directions and instructions for that card written on the card so you dont forget. I thought this would be hard for my kids who arent yet strong readers, but once I explained each card to them they committed it to long term memory. Each game ranges from about 1 minute to 20 minutes- depending on when the exploding kitten card is drawn and how long each player takes for their moves. Since this game allows unlimited moves, it is not as fast paced as other card games.I just wish I had gotten the version for more than 2 players- but I will definitely be upgrading to that! This is a game thats fun for kids and their parents alike. Through playing this game you will quickly find out who is the most ruthless in your family or friends group. Since this game is just a deck of cards, it is SUPER easy to store or take on a trip. Highly recommend this game for kids and adults of all ages!
This is a pretty fun game. It's easier to get going with it than the multiple player version. I think the only hard part of this game is getting familiar with it and getting people on board to play. The game title makes you think it's a brainless game that would be good for a party or drinking, but you just have to know how to play, then it's game on! Guess that's how it is with any game though. hahaha. They have youtube videos as well if you're still confused. My son who is 10 and I have played several times now that we are familiar with it, and we have a good time with it.
This game is just as fun as the standard version but in a more compact an easier to take on the go way.I like getting games with no too many pieces or cards that can be easily play wherever we might be , at home, in the car, while we wait for food, etc. This game is easy to transport and play. Instructions are simple and clear, it might take a little bit to get used to at first, once you get a hang of them you won't need to refer to them while playing.Been a two person edition, game play is not long and keeps you engaged throughout the whole thing. Quick games are usually more entertaining in my opinion.Card material seems to hold pretty well. So far no visible creases or wear and tear is shown, even though it's been played with a good amount of times.Lots of ... This is a more condensed version of the normal game. The cards are the same or very similar, but it is trimmed down to be a smooth 2-player game. You most of the same mechanics of the original except for ones that don't make sense with only 2-players.The game is simple, you don't want to draw the "exploding kitten" card and lose the game. The other cards help you strategically avoid the "exploding kitten" or try to force your opponent to draw the losing card. It's a simple but fun idea and it works really well. The cards themselves also have bizarre humor that had my wife and I audibly laughing out loud with how ridiculous they were. We were definitely caught off guard but very much enjoyed it.It's a great little card game and I will definitely become a go-to ... MoreThis is a more condensed version of the normal game. This is such a silly fun game. It's a great time killer for you and a friend - it's over pretty quickly, sometimes a round lasts just a few minutes, sometimes they have gone on for 10 or 15 minutes. It's super easy to learn, you just do what the cards tell you to do, there's not a ton of rules to remember. The illustrations and text on the cards are funny without being gross, it's family friendly and our kids love it. I dislike that it comes in a thin cardboard box. I like for my things to stay looking nice and new but the box is becoming torn up pretty quickly. I'd love a silly Exploding Kittens tin to store them in and to travel with. Not a huge deal though, I'll find something to keep them in. We really love it, it's fast and fun.
I have a 9 year old some and we had recently started playing another card game(its named after a number in spanish) on recent camping trips. he loved it for a while and then got bored with it. I was looking for other games to play and I happened to get this one. My child shows the same enthusiasm that he showed with the other game except he is more interested it the "funny pictures" as he calls them. We have played it for a few weeks now and he seems to still be interested in playing. There was a little bit of a learning curve but not bad. Overall I think the kid likes the game more than I do but as long as hes happy and I can get him off the tablet, im happy. Its a reasonable price and worth a shot if your looking for an interactive game to play with you and your ...
