The USB C to USB C cable provided was super tight, and is the suspected culprit of the disc continually ejecting. When sending disc to a colleague, same cable and disc was inserted to external monitor and shorted the monitor. I got it working on a 3rd device to attempt data retrieval, but it kept ejecting again. I have returned the disc. The problem was almost certain the supplied cable, due to its tightness. CameraNU.nl did not find a problem with the disc itself. Carefull, if the cable is too tight, it could lead to your host device being damaged.
