Was happy with this purchase until my 6 year old son's strap kept on coming off due to the white plastic end pin (that comes standard with the guitar) kept sliding out at the bottom. Popped into Mannys in Fitzroy North and they were great in being able to supply another end pin with a strap lock but I can already see it sliding in and out again. Fender should have just built in the metal end pin like they did for the next model up that costs $60 more. I ended up having to pay $10 for the fix.

I came to the Orlando store expecting to pay a good deal more than I did. On entering I was met by a very helpful sales assistant who asked me what I was looking for. I explain that I have only been playing for a little over six months but need an accustic guitar that was a step up from the $70 guitar I had started with. He quickly pointed out the Fender C60 as offering great value for the price. He then left me to try as many guitars as I wished and so I spent almost the next hour trying guitars within my $300 budget and many above it. I kept returning to the CD 60 as it sounded not just clean and sharp but had a warmth that I only found on the most expensive guitars. The hard case it came with is a real bonus as I have to back to the UK at the end of the week. Many thanks to all at George's music store for a great musical experience. David M

I must say that if you are planning to buy a acoustic guitar and if suppose your budget is 9-11 thousand then this is the must buy guitar for you. I've tried all those series of Yamaha (Forgot the series number kind of F30 or something),Epiphone,Washburn which were under 9-11 thousand. Although due to lack of stock I was unable to try the Epiphone DR-100 guitar or something(But I had tried other Epiphone models under the same range). But got stuck with this one..ha..ha..Because the tone of this guitar is so well balanced that you cannot even imagine at this price, it has well balanced high, mid & low the way a acoustic guitar should sound, its really sweet. But it also depends on your style of playing & your musical taste. After getting back into music after thirty years and now being on a fixed income I had to budget for a new guitar. After reading other reviews in the Fender CD60 I purchased one. I was more than satisfied. The hard shell Case was better than I could have imagined. I have seen cases similar retail for $80-100 alone. The guitar is very well put together and after several days and temperature changes stayed very well in tune. Thefactory strings were a bit tinny and after swapping those out the CD60 is rich sounding and fun to play. Beautiful finish as well. I am extremely satisfied!
This type of repair should be done by a professional, is not for the average person to attempt. Requires special glues and tools and refinishing the damaged areas. I rated good only because some parts were missing and the logo on the head stock was damaged by seller. The guitar was in nice condition otherwise. After the repairs the guitar now plays and sounds like new. So I rated it feels good, does stay in tune and it does play well.
These Acoustic Guitars Sound Excellent! Easy to Play and Sounds Really Nice. They are Often Described as Beginner Guitars. If You Research Them, They are Considered to be Beginner to Intermediate Players.... Don't Be Discouraged by the Beginner Description, as They are Well Above That. I Do Have a Few Of These Models. They are Very Nice Sounding and Easy to Play. I Would Use Them to Play Out, if I Still Did. People Have Commented that They Sound Like a Higher Priced Guitar. They Do Stay in Tune Pretty Well also. Strum On!
It's a Fender!! it feel's really good quality! it looks good and the strings it comes with are good once you have stretched them a bit they will stay in tune but the main thing is the sound. It is a really good all rounder, very impressed and good value for the price! Highly recommend anyone looking for a first guitar or someone looking to add to their collection.
I’m learning the guitar and have been on a Squire electric but wanted an acoustic so I can switch between the two. I bought the Fender CD 60 as a birthday present to myself and it is a lovely guitar, great in the sunburst colour, and the sound is really really good, sounds great playing quiet or loud and I think it’s easier to play than the electric. I’m no expert but I think this guitar will do me well for a very long time.PMT were the best priced and actually had it in stock (unlike a lot of other online retailers) no hassle, quick delivery and packaged really well.I’m Looking forward to learning on this and hopefully doing it justice in the future.
This guitar, even new, costs very little money. This one required a setup (but then, even new ones do), and it was a factory 2nd, so it had small issues, but they were trivial. After a thorough going over, and a set of strings, it sounds, and plays, better than several guitars I have that cost considerably more! It's warm and articulate, yet responds like a race-horse at the starting signal, to picking technique. It has more voice than any guitar in this price range has any business possessing. I bought it to fix up and sell. But it's behind the counter, and that's where it's staying! I have 50 year old guitars that I would part with before this one. It's a jewel!
Nice strings, stays in tune. Really nice tone. A little slow getting here, but worth the wait. It actually looks new. No scratches or other blemishes. The only thing was a missing strap button, which was replaced for a few dollars.
