Fenix CL20R Rechargeable Lantern- Orange (300 Lumens)

As detailed above, this is a great camping/hiking lantern. It's small size and lightweight means it can be carried long distances without adding any burden to the shoulders.But I've also found it useful as an addition to my toolbag. It's excellent for working in tight, dark spaces like a roof. There's always an old screw the magnetic base can attach to free up my hands. A headlamp is most other's first choice, but the bugs don't fly into my face with the light above haha. Also good for temporary lighting in sheds, garages, safes, and drawers.I might need more than one of these for all my needs!

Favorite Fenix item!

When I opened my Fenix package and saw this, I thought “Wow, this is way smaller than I expected, I hope it gives off enough light.” Well, my expectations were met and then. some. The size and weight of this is amazing. I can hang it or magnetize it to a metal surface… It is plenty bright enough and I find myself using this more than my flashlights. I gave one to all of my boys who love Fenix and camping. Everyone wants to get more of these to have on hand for everyday life, camping and emergencies. Great job with this lantern!! Definitely 5 stars.

Great Light.

The CL20R is a very versatile, lightweight, and sturdy light. I purchased it to use for during outdoor grilling and other activities but found that, during a recent power outage, it can provide ample light in the home for extended periods of time. The magnetic base is real plus as well. I will be ordering more lights use as an emergency light as well.

Great Little Light!!!

We horse camp in the mountains, and of course, there’s no way to use any kind of “night light” in our LQ Horse Trailer during the night. This is the PERFECT light to use in our bathroom. The lowest setting is just right to give a measure of safety. AND we never have to recharge the entire time we’re gone!

Great So Far

To be fair, I have not extensively used this thing. The integrated battery is pretty cool, and it's plenty bright for night time use. The light is pretty neutral, a little yellow, but mostly white. I like the magnetic base, if you have the free harbor freight lights, this is basically the ultimate upgrade. Bright, STRONK magnet, and you can adjust the brightness by pressing the button several times. My only concern is how well it performs when stored in a car. I will be testing mine shortly. Usually I have to charge lithium ion cells on my fenix flashlight every 2 months due to excessive discharge during storage.

I bought one of these

I bought one of these and had to get another one. Used it camping at a Dark Park which is no white light, and the red light option was really nice to be able to use (and was a main reason I got it). The size, build quality, weather proofing and options to have white light or red light is really nice. Would recommend to anyone who might go camping, need emergency lighting, maybe a night light, etc. Love the fact that you can hang it or use the magnet on the bottom as well. I mean honestly it is everything you can want in a little light. Just get it :).

Perfect Camping, Everyday & Disaster Lantern

I've probably purchased 4-6 of these lanterns which includes the non-rechargeable CL20 version as well. All of them are great, but I do prefer the newer and rechargeable CL20R version because of the 1 lumen moon glow setting. I used these lights when I lost power for a week here in Texas during the February 2021 snow storm. I had no power, no heat and no running water for a week. I have emergency preparations and am an avid camper so I was set. I really appreciated this lantern and the moon glow setting. I kept it on that setting at night which made sleeping more comfortable since it was pitch black, devoid of sound and very cold. Although it provided no warmth, it gave me endless hours of comfort during several long and dark nights. Buy one or two. Simple. Elegant. Dependable.

My family got this to put light where we need it. And for that purpose this mini lantern is perfect. Its simple, one button operation works well. It looks nice and well designed. The range of illumination levels is more than enough for all our needs, from adding light to see our groceries loading out of our hatchback, to being a makeshift porchlight at our cabin. We have owned many Fenix products and have come to rely on their dependability.

Tiny torch

Nice little source camping light. Just hang it on a branch and take care of whatever business. It's good to illuminate one person's needs but if you have a large camping site you may need more. Although its Max brightness would be for a fairly large area. Max brightness Range pretty wide. Recharge takes a while but it lasts long.

Very Nice Small Lantern

I use it mostly as a bedside light and it works well and has good functionality. I most often use the white light on the lowest of the four settings as a night light and I also like the red light since it promotes sleep. The brighter settings would provide plenty of light for other uses including outdoors. The easy recharge with a micro-USB connection is very convenient. I've had it several months and have yet to have to re-charge after nightly use. Note that battery is not replaceable. I will also pack it as a travel light. Good to have when I'm staying in an unfamiliar place.
