Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation Mini 470

Idk what the other reviews are talking about, this foundation is amazing. I finally found a brand that has my shade! I try the lightest shade of every foundation and it’s either orangey, too dark, or has really yellow undertones. The 110 is perfect for people with very pale skin and pink undertones. It’s almost impossible to find my real shade but this is absolutely spot on! A little goes a long way, it’s great for combination skin. The price is steep but at least my face colour matches my neck colour now!

Disappointing

I really wanted to love this product. Especially since it came highly recommended, but I’ve worn it twice on my skin and it left my skin looking very Cakey and ashy looking. It looked like my skin was peeling.I was very self conscious at work and washed it all off at work and reapplied with oils to keep it moisturized, but it made no difference.Looking at the pictures in other reviews about cakey and separating, it’s exactly what happened to me.I have a warm / neutral undertone and oily / combination skin. Finally my perfect shade!

I have been on the hunt for my perfect shade for years, so I was relieved finding this shade range and this size option. I’m middle eastern but my skin tone leans more toward neutral rather than olive but I often still had difficulty matching with neutral toned foundations. Color matching software would also recommend a warm or yellow toned shade, which always looked like a disaster. I was so grateful to see the Fenty website had a great color matching application that I could use without seeing the shades in person. I never go for anything matte because I have dry skin that looks patchy with foundation, and I don’t exfoliate too much because it irritates my skin and causes redness. But this formula looks so beautiful on my skin. It truly is “soft” matte because on my face it looks natural and skin like and I can wear it on days when I need a bit more coverage without wanting to look like I’m wearing makeup. Whenever I wear it as a full face, it makes me look polished and put together without too much effort because it applies evenly and blends well. I don’t look too patchy if I apply it without any exfoliation or skin prep, but it looks even better when I wear it after exfoliation.

Flaky, Streaky Nightmare

This product not only was expensive for such a small product but absolutely sucked. I got two different colors in hope that it would be similar to the Pro Filt'r Hydrating Longwear Foundation (This used to be my favorite natural foundation, BRING IT BACK FENTY!) Yes, I know this one is supposed to be Matte but it's supposed to be the same formulation as the Pro Filt'r + it absolutely isn't. There is no coverage, I had to use so much + even tried using less but it just looked streaky/cakey all at the same time...how is that even possible? These went straight in the trash. Don't even try this like I did, a complete waste of money.

Great coverage, but be mindful of primer

I wanted to start with a sample size before committing. The coverage is great, and I love the powdery finish. However, you may want to be careful of the primer or moisturizer you start off with since it clings to dry patches. I did not set it with powder, and it lasted an entire night out! It’s OK

I’ve been using this foundation for a while now. Firstly, a little goes a long way. I saw a lot of people complaining about it looking cakey and it’s only if you use more than one pump. Secondly, it’s literally a perfect match. They have an impeccable shade range. Thirdly, it does cling to dry paytches, so if you have dry skin this might not work for you. Lastly, the cap is very cheap and it broke on me when I went to put it back on. The bottle itself is nice and feels expensive (it’s glass). Overall it’s a decently good foundation but it’s not my favourite.

Just okay, needs work

I feel like this foundation could have potential with a few fixes. The bottle/dispenser is terrible and not efficient at all so it gets messy very easily. The color selection is great for a variety of skin tones and it blends well but found it too heavy/not breathable for my combo skin type. A breathable formula and a better bottle would really make this product shine. I usually like Fenty products but this one just doesn’t seem worth the money in my opinion but I’m glad I got the chance to try it for free and experiment with it.

Oxidizes Shade and Undertone

This was the first matte foundation I’ve used, I typically prefer natural finish or even dewy formulas despite having oily skin. I decided to give this a try after so many people raved about it online, but quickly found that after an hour the foundation had oxidized 2 shades darker and the initial undertone (140 - light with warm yellow undertones) changed to pink. It looked like I was wearing a mask on my face. Although the product felt light-weight and had good medium coverage, the oxidization made it completely unwearable. I had to return and will stick with Nars (for reference I wear Nars foundation in shade gobi).

Poor quality makeup, especially for the price

Like others, I wanted to love this because it had a good match for my hard-to-match skin. It's VERY runny and hard to apply because you need the tube in 1 hand and cap in the other, so it's a race to dispense onto a 3rd object, whether fingers or applicator, and then cap it up fast before it all drains out of the tube. It's too thin to apply smoothly, and once on, it breaks up and gets patchy no matter what primer I use. It honestly reminds me of teenage days spent wondering why the cheapest drugstore foundation was so bad when it looked so similar to the better brands on the shelf. I honestly think if the celeb name wasn't attached it'd be in that tier right now.

just can’t get it to sit right

I purchased after reading heaps of great reviews. I was looking for a foundation that worked great for oily skin clients, we’ve had a heat wave here and I’ve heard this foundation really lasts the distance so wanted to use it for bridal. I have tried 4 times with this now, on myself and on friends with oily skin types as well and I just can’t find a way to get it to sit. I’ve tried different primers, different skin prep and different application methods and I still struggle to get it to sit flawlessly. I will give it another go because a lot of people seem to love it but it’s just not working for me so far. I also watched several you tube tutorials on application but still not having much success.
