Cutting grass and things like clovers it's great. I got it for tree lines and under barbed wire fences. It doesn't cut any kind of weeds with stalks. Probably dandelions but thats about it. It will work for me but it's still more work with the weed eater than I was hoping for.

I purchased this mower 3 weeks ago and returned it this morning. After two cuts on my lawn the back rear wheels became loose causing the right rear wheel to fall off continuously. When I re-attached it back on it continued to fall off. I realized the washer was missing. After spending a half hour looking for it I found it and re-attached the wheel with both bolt and washer. The wheel continued to fall off. The rear wheel bolts do not seem to attach fully to the rear mower frame. I had located another online review where another consumer had the same issue. I am disappointed as I truly wanted to try a better way to mow my lawn vs. a gas or electric powered mower. This issue was not due to assembly as my local Ace store assembled it for me. My 6 year old even had fun with it, obviously after i stressed all the safety precautions with using this. She even begged to help mow once she saw how easy it was for me to use. Our South Florida lawn does have an issue with Sticker Burrs so i will probably need to upgrade to the eighteen 18 inch version that has the Grass Catcher bag to prevent spreading the seeds. This is the perfect solution for our family! I was unable to find anything written in the owners manual about blade maintenance so I have sent an email to the manufacturer for guidance.

The assembly was super easy. This mower is lightweight and easy to handle. It cuts well but doesn't handle tough weeds. I had to do a couple passes in some areas. But that is motivation for me to weed and feed my lawn. I just use grass clippers to go back and get what's missed. A lot of reel mowers do this. It says blades don't need sharpening but I am not so sure. We will see as time goes on. I have a small lawn so it suites my purpose. I would recommend this for small lawns. Especially if you don't have a lot of weeds. I am going to fix my weed situation! :-) It cuts grass just fine.
Excellent lawmower. Sturdy construction and sharp blades. Like the cover over the blades. Many reel type mowers have exposed blades. Does cut through twigs. Good value for the price. Only issue is you'd better have a good toolkit and handyman talent to assemble it. You need various size socket wrenches, needle-nose pliers. We are not skilled at assembling and did not have a fully-stocked toolkit, so had to pay a local lawnmower dealer to assemble it. Took him about 30 minutes. He said he never had seen this brand. But if you want a workhorse, this is a good mower.

I have been waiting for a completely dry day here in Florida to take this baby out for a spin, but the weather just wouldn't cooperate, so even with a wet lawn I decided to try it out! My first thought was that it's a lot heavier than one of my gas push mowers, but to my surprise, it was a dream to push. The cutting action is so smooth and calibrated to perfection, that I had a smile on my face the whole time. Even with the grass still wet from the last shower, it really cut nicely. Admittedly over-grown for us means the grass is a couple inches higher than we maintain ours in but this time it was more like double that. Even better though was it easily cut through a stubborn weed patch behind the back fence by the alley. Those weeds are thick, dense and tough ( the weed name is spotted surge). I saw someone mention the wheels are plastic & theirs broke. I went out and looked at the wheels & they are plastic but are a super heavy duty plastic. I asked my hubs about it & he said those wheels must have taken a beating rather than normal use to have broken. That the wheels on this mower are super sturdy. I assembled the mower while he was out and hung a happy face on it for him to see when he got home. A hint? You bet it was. He was still talking about how easy it was to push this evening at dinner & said he had decided we didn't need to replace the gas mower. This would work fine. That's saying a lot coming from an established gas mower man!
We live in Florida and need to mow the grass weekly in the rainy season. I had never tried a push reel mower so I wasn't expecting much. My brother assembled it within 20 minutes and he's not the handy type. My husband said it works well for a manual mower as he has had some experience with others. It provides a pretty nice cut. I found it a little bit hard to push but my husband didn't. The grass was a bit wet when I tried. My husband also commented that this is perfect for small lawns. No gas or oil so that is a huge plus. No sharpening the blades annually either. The handle moves to the vertical position for easy storage.
I have never mown a lawn. Ever. But I now have a teensy tiny patch of grass out front of the house I just bought, and thought I'd try to do it myself. I'm fairly fit, but not Superwoman so wasnt really certain how I'd fare with a manual mower. So far, I love it! Easy to assemble, easy to use (twice thus far) and while I confess I didnt pay close attention to the upkeep/winter maintenence instructions (like oiling bits) I have time to do that.
