Fitbit Ace 2 (Night Sky/Neon Yellow)

I bought mine elsewhere, but wanted to leave a review to help out others. My daughter is 8 and she loves it. We have had no issues, including the band, but bands are so cheap that honestly its not a big deal of that problem arises. I wish it had more features but lets be honest, its a starter Fitbit geared towards kids. If she shows responsibility with this one Ill love her up to a Versa later on. My two biggest complaints are 1 the charger is SHORT. I mean the cord is like I dunno, 3 or 4 inches? I used a USB extension table to get a little more distance. Before we had to plug it in and then hang the Fitbit on the wall adapter because it wasnt even long enough to reach from the outlet to the counter top. If you have an active kid I definitely recommend this. It keeps my busy 7 year old engaged on her activity. She loves to see how many steps she done throughout the day. The battery life is pretty great and charge hers rather infrequently, considering how much she's tapping the screen and button on the side.The wrist band is soft and comfortable and fits her well with room to grow. There are also a bunch of replacement bands available for when she wants to switch it up a bit.We also love that its waterproof. We don't worry about hand washing and showering breaking it. The big test will come this summer when she is super active outside in all types of elements. Awesome activity tracker!!

Purchased this during the 2020 pandemic to help me keep track of my younger daughters activity to make sure she was getting decent amounts of exercise while virtual learning. She is 8 and she loves making sure she gets her steps in every day! The app is easy to use and makes it very easy for me to see her activity for the day. I really like the sleep tracker too. Great purchase and we use it everyday. During the summer she swam in our pool almost every day and the watch did a great job tracking her swimming activity and was water resistant as advertised. This version does not have a heart rate monitor. I did purchase the other watch with the heart rate monitor for my 12 year old daughter and it is great too!

Disappointed. Not made with active children in mind

Overall it is a good watch. It really motivated my son to move. He chose the monster clock face which starts out as an eye and as he moves more than monster begins to grow once he reaches his target is a full-grown monster which he loves to watch has a timer feature that he really enjoyed. Now the bad which far outweighs the good is it scratched so easily and when I asked Fitbit about replacing it they said it's not covered under warranty. Not only is it not covered under warranty but it took 3 weeks for them to correspond with me over the situation very poor customer service. I have been owning a adult Fitbit for 5 years and have always enjoyed it and never once have scratched the clock face on it and I am constantly doing stuff that would put the clock face at ... MoreOverall it is a good watch. It's JUST a watch NOT A PEDOMETER, you can deserve so much better

I bought one for each of my 2 children when I bought my Inspire. The kids thought they looked cool and were excited and raced each other through it the house for steps. BUT in reality they are useless are anything more than a watch. THE STEP COUNTER is so BAD my kids have gotten out of bed with 600 steps already recorded. scratching heads gain at least 50 steps depending on how much you scratch or brush your hair. I have the same problems with the Inspire. I found many comments and questions, of course,after I bought them, on the Fitbit site about the same complaints and problems plus more when it comes to additional tracking issues. Nice and easy to use for kids

I got this Fit bit watch for my 9 y.o. son. He didn't like it at first :/ but now he loves it. I downloaded the app on his iPad and my cellphone to keep track of his activities. It's a great motivator to keep him moving an achieve goals.This are the characteristics/pros:It's made of rubber and it's water proof. It doesn't have a gps so it must be sync by placing the devices together (cellphone and watch).The charger has a strong magnet and keeps the watch in place while charging. I would prefer having a longer charger, at least 1 meter long.This activity tracker keeps track of steps, calories burnt, distance walked, sleep time, movements every hour, how much water he drank. Waste of Time and Money

This was a huge disappointment. The software is clunky. You have to have a 'parent' account which fitbit then uses to spam the living daylights out of your email. It regularly requires a total reset of everything to work or even turn on. And after about a year, it will stop charging completely and become expensive junk.Do yourself a favor and skip this one. Spend a little more and buy your kid a regular tracker from a different brand or one of the economy smart watches.

Watch is fine... app is terrible.

I have few complaints about the watches themselves but the software and user experience with said software is a dumpster fire. The watches must be synced to a mobile app for initial setup and follow-on usability. The issue with this is that you have to set up an account for each device/child. We purchased two which means a minimum of 3 accounts (1 adult, two child) need to be created. You can only use/sync one account/device at a time on a mobile device and it's a pain to switch between accounts. I use secure passwords for everything I do which makes switching back and forth a chore. You could elect to not sync regularly and miss out on fitness and sleep tracking (the entire purpose of getting these) but you run into serious problems when the watch completely dies ... MoreI have few complaints about the watches themselves but the software and user experience with said software is a dumpster fire.
