Due to a planned trip to the French Alps this coming August I decided it was a good time to replace my trusty old Troy Lee D2 carbon. My shortlist was....The Troy Lee D3, the Oneal Spark, the Specialized Dissident and the Giro Remedy.I could not find anywhere to try the Oneal.....Tried the Troy Lee D3 and although it felt a lot better than my D2 it did not feel 100%.Visited Evans and tried on the medium and large sizes of the Specialized Dissident the Giro Remedy and they just did not fit very well at all.......feeling a bit frustrated due to trying all these helmets on and nothing actually fitting I found another helmet in their catalogue and thought 'I have got nothing to lose, it's in stock', so I decided to try on the new Fox Rampage Pro carbon.I had read ... MoreDue to a planned trip to the French Alps this coming August I decided it was a good time to replace my trusty old Troy Lee D2 carbon. My shortlist was....The Troy Lee D3, the Oneal Spark, the Specialized Dissident and the Giro Remedy.I could not find anywhere to try the Oneal.....Tried the Troy Lee D3 and although it felt a lot better than my D2 it did not feel 100%.Visited Evans and tried on the medium and large sizes of the Specialized Dissident the Giro Remedy and they just did not fit very well at all.......feeling a bit frustrated due to trying all these helmets on and nothing actually fitting I found another helmet in their catalogue and thought 'I have got nothing to lose, it's in stock', so I decided to try on the new Fox Rampage Pro carbon.I had read a few reviews on this helmet but hadn't really taken too much notice on people raving about the fit, then I tried it on..... all I can say is WOW! It made everything I had previously tried on feel like absolute rubbish. I have never worn a bicycle helmet that felt this comfortable before, ever! I have a between medium and large size head and the large fitted perfectly. Soooooo comfortable I honestly cannot believe a company has finally made a DH helmet fit so well.To top all this off, Evans has this helmet currently on sale less 20% so if you can't afford the RRP of £320 you can get this now for £255... Bargain!!!!

From all the reviews I've read about build quality and R&D that went into this product I was hoping it would be perfect for me. Unfortunately it did not fit my head at all. This was not a size issue its a (my head shape issue.)Moosejaw staff was extremely helpful every time I needed a question answered and as always the Moosejaw employee I contacted treated me as though I was the most important person ever. They have tons of knowledge and don't hold back when it comes time to get detailed about it.I have a weird shaped head but I still Love Moosejaw.Thank you very much.

For this pro-carbon helmet, the inside fits like glove with very little movement. This is a helmet that is secure and moves with every angle of your head and moves up without compromising a loose fit. The pads take some time to wear in but if they feel tight and snug on your checks.... Then it's the right feel. What I like most is that it's lightweight and Fox gives you the right amount of opening for you to see clearly. Few helmets that give you the best visual space to see up and down and the opening keep your eyes ahead of the game as you move fast on the trails. Has the emergency release system on the pads! The MIPS BPS allows the head to move inside the helmet which can reduce the harmful rotational motion otherwise transferred to the brain. This is true. The color is darker than what is online and the beauty of this helmet is the right amount of balance that moves with your head as you shred, jump, and make those needed adjustments on the fly. The padding and shell look ready for any kind of smash, and it's light. This helmet is worth the time to try on. You will feel the difference. Sometimes we caught up with the brand. The goal is to forget about the brand is and try it on! I think Fox gets it right in how they use MIPS tech for your helmet not to move inside and your head stays secure. Nice mesh cover that keeps dirt and debris from getting into the helmet. Great field of view and the visor is out of the way. This works great with larger goggles. No pressure points and this chin bar is the perfect distance. This is a great quiet helmet and does restrict hearing but this keeps the environment very calm while riding. I love the shape, styling, fit, and color of this helmet. Helmet retention is handled by a carbon D ring. It’s a simple, easy-to-use, and lightweight method of keeping your helmet in place as you hit fast downhill trails or enduro biking days. The bottom line is you want the helmet to fit your head and spending the money for the right helmet that you will use for the year cannot be measured when it comes to safety. Safety first! Great venting for those hot days on the trail and in the mountains. True DH helmet that offers serious protection!

For me this shirt is perfect. I love the fox brand as well as simple designs that look good but arent to crazy with graphics all over it. The material is soft. It fits me perfect. Almost a fitted snug type fit but in a good way. Very soft and looks great whether around the house or going out. True to size. Def recommend if you like FOX.
This is a great helmet with the major flaw the Fox is WAY off on the sizing here. I am a 59cm circumference head at the absolute widest part. I have a Smith Vantage helmet that I ordered in Large based off my head, and it fit perfectly within their range. All my other hats / helmets are large. Fox says their large if for 59cm - 60cm, so even after I read other reviews saying it was small for its size, I figured I'd be fine since I was on the low end of the range...not the case. The Large helmet in this was nearly impossible to squeeze on my head...I thought it was going to rip my ears off, and then when I finally popped my head in, I figured I'd leave it a minute to see if I could adapt. Bad idea. It gave me a splitting headache that lasted the next 2 days from ... MoreThis is a great helmet with the major flaw the Fox is WAY off on the sizing here. Bad idea. It gave me a splitting headache that lasted the next 2 days from squeezing my head. I ordered a replacement size in XL which says 61-62cm, and that SNUGLY fits my 59cm head. Luckily Moosejaw is an easy website to deal with, so they're sending me a free return label. If you are anything over 60cm, I'd recommend saving yourself the time and looking elsewhere.
I really wanted to love this helmet. It looks fantastic and the fit is perfect. Unfortunately, I encountered a problem with the implementation of MIPS in this helmet: it is INCREDIBLY LOUD. Every time I moved my head, it would make a loud plastic creaking sound.Ultimately, I settled on a POC Coron air spin carbon. Just as comfortable and totally silent (like every other bike or motorcycle helmet I have EVER owned).
Definitely not an enduro helmet, but a good option for full on DH / lift accessed use. Probably wouldn't want to pedal around, although the venting is definitely good.Sized a little small as most other reviews would say, if you're between sizes size up.
This helmet is double the weight of my previous full face helmet. I was worried it would feel too heavy on my head, but I can't even tell the difference. It's big. It's heavy. It's hot. But it's extremely protective and comfortable. I took a 6+ feet fall directly to my head on hard packed dirt and no concussion or even the slightest headache. And no visible damage to the helmet.
This helmet is definitely quite tight out of the box, mainly in the cheek area and smaller cheek pads are not sold for this model. Crown size was fine. I’ve worn Fox Rampage helmets in a Medium and the RPC medium is noticeably tighter at first. However, I got a great deal on the helmet and didn’t want to return it, so I trusted the other reviewers which said it packs in a bit after the first wear. I took the chance and wore it out for a full day and it did break in a little. The veins in my forehead even stopped bulging out by lunch time.Taking it on and off is still a battle which I don’t expect to improve much, there’s a ton of padding under the jaw/around the neck which makes it tight going on and off. Definitely not comfortable to wear half on your head (like in the lift line) because it squeezes very hard.So I’m one day in and it’s at a point where it’s comfortable while on my head, no headaches. The build quality and padding of the helmet are amazing, it looks cool (there’s some faint gray/black alternating striping that only shows in the sun, can’t see in the pics here). If you’re willing to deal with the squeeze when taking on and off, this is a great helmet that will certainly provide the best protection you can get.
good looking helmet. color is nice. the size is too small for me. have to order one size up. that's why i have to return it.
