I had the 23mm GF lens and it just wasnt wide enough. I also have the 45-100mm GF lens and I needed something in between. The 20-35mm GF lens is perfect. Im so happy they came out with this lens. Its a godsend. You will not be disappointed especially if you had both the 23mm and the 45-100mm but didn’t have the 32-64mm which felt unnecessary if you had the aforementioned lenses. GET IT!!!

I was pretty disappointed with this lens because it's a lens/focal range I had been wanting for several years and the overall IQ of my copy was poor. The image in the center was great, but as soon as you went into the mid-frame it degraded and the corners were so soft it looked like a handheld exposure at 2. I compared this directly to the Panasonic Leica 8-18mm and the Sony 16-35 F4 PZ (tripods, controlled scene, etc) and both of those absolutely smoked this. Hopefully you can chock it up to copy variance but I still have no idea how this would pass Fuji QC and be considered within spec. FWIW, my 45-100 is tack sharp right from F4 edge to edge and corner to corner.

Very sharp lens, well-constructed, light weight, and a reasonable size front element. If you like wide-angled photography and have a Fujifilm, this is a great lens choice.

Excellent lens. Images are tack sharp! I am very satisfied with this lens as it compliments my 45-100 f4 zoom.
I just got back from a photo shoot in northern Nevada. Four days were spent shooting the old steam trains at the Nevada Northern Railyard in Ely, NV. This lens coupled with my Fujifilm GFX 100S gave me unbelievable results and was a joy to use. I would recommend this lens highly !
Pros: This is Fujifilm's widest lens for the GFX system (16mm - 28mm FF equiv) and well worth waiting for.As with all GF lenses, it's of very high quality build & glass. Outperforms anything else I've used in this range. It's a perfect landscape lens.Cons: None
This lens is wider than my iPhone 11 Pro on it's widest setting. It's a blast to work with. I was recently in the mountains of central Idaho. Between the wildflowers and dramatic, stormy skies, this lens took it all in. With the max f22 the range is about a foot to infinity so it was able to capture plenty of the clouds along with the flowers on a downslope. The image is sharp, all the way around. It also works great on architectural shoots. Even at its widest there is little distortion, unless you want to do some funky shooting. I am super excited to own this lens. Combined with the Fujifilm 45-100, my bases are now covered.
I did a test on our Youtube channel Film Jams comparing this 20-35mm side-by-side with the 23mm GF f/4 and the 23mm is slightly better and vignettes less, but once you apply corrections in camera RAW, they're very close. I think the autofocus is also slightly better on the 23mm. The 20-35mm lens goes down to f/22 while the 23mm goes all the way down to f/32 which has saved me on some long exposure sunset shots (when I forgot to pack my ND's)...so overall the 20-35mm seems very versatile and similar in quality to the 23mm lens - if you plan to post process your images. It's also slightly lighter than the 23mm. If you want to see side-by-side comparisons of the 23mm to this 20-35mm check them out on Film Jams on Youtube.
This is a great UWA lens for the GFX system. The color, contrast and sharpness are exceptional. Put this lens with the GFX 100s and the amount of detail you can get is unreal. Everyone is worried about the corners on wide angle lenses - the corners are great with this lens. As far as ergonomics the lens is well built, relatively lightweight and easy to use. You can walk around with this lens all day and take wonderful photos. I have taken landscape and architecture photos with this lens and it has exceeded my expectations.
I was on a waitlist for over a month for this lens at B&H and Adorama. Somehow I scored the last one at Moment. This lens is amazing and I will definitely be using Moment to buy gear in the future.
