I absolutely LOVE my Fujifilm xt30 camera. I originally ended up getting this because the x100v was out of stock, but I am SO glad I did. Love the exchangeable lens, endless film simulations, and ALL the settings this camera offers. We’ve taken it on so many vacations and I can’t wait to continue to document our trips!

I have been using Sony for a long time but was looking for something smaller and more affordable that would give me that analog feel. This is a great compromise if you cant get your hands on the x100v, with the added bonus that you arent limited to a single focal length. I feel like working with a Fuji camera has forced me to become more picky about the settings Im using and how I was the final picture to look artistically, which is totally different than how Im used to thinking. Im really enjoying playing with this awesome camera.

Love this camera! I’m a new Fuji-x user, and after getting used to the menu and shooting modes (which have now become easy and intuitive), I find myself taking this camera everywhere. The small size, solid build, and wonderful Fuji prime lenses make this a good fit for me. Also, all the budget third-party lenses available for Fuji x-mount cameras make this a good choice for budget-minded photographers. Importantly, I’m impressed with the images from this camera. I shoot RAF in manual mode and love the results. I admire Fuji for packing their budget cameras with the same sensors, etc., as their flagship models. My two minor complaints are the small grip (I bought an aftermarket grip/plate) and the Q button, which I occasionally accidentally bump while shooting.

Good compact size, especially with the handgrip. Excellent menu system with a totally customizable quick menu that makes for easy access to your preferred features. Also you can create a User menu with the features you use most all in one place. The Fuji XF 18-55 is a great lens. Fuji has long recognized excellent system of lens for this camera.Solid constructions and feels it with a nice weight without being too heavy. I especially like the easy access dials for shutter speed, various shooting modes and exposure modification.Like others have said, it may take some getting used to the location of the Quick button since, depending on how you hold the camera, it sits close to where many place their thumb and could be pressed in error. The APS sensor provides a ... MoreGood compact size, especially with the handgrip. Better quality than the Micro Four-thirds sensor.I've used several Panasonic Lumix cameras (including GX7 & GX8) and I prefer the Fuji for ergonomics, build and especially capabilities.I originally purchased the Nikon Z50 with the FT adaptor (I'm a long time Nikon film and Digital SLR user) although a nice little camera, I was disappointed in the ergonomics and kit lens and the expense to upgrade to better lens. Also with the FT adaptor, be sure to verify it works with your specific older Nikon lens, because it did not work with all my Nikon lens. So I returned the Z50 and purchased the Fuji X-T30 and was blown away by the quality, handling and build of this camera compared to the Z50.As for the size, I did not feel it was too small, especially after adding the handgrip. As a reference, I compared its size (with the hand grip on) to one of my Nikon film cameras (FM2) and as for the width, the X-T30 was only about 3/4" smaller while the body was about half the size front to back and the height was about the same. As a result it felt very comfortable and familiar in my hands. The Essentials add-on kit is an excellent choice and includes a high quality Domke case along with common filters, etc.If your in the market for a compact, full featured camera with a great lens system, you should take a serious look at the Fuji X-T30.
I was mulling over what camera to get after years of using a Nikon V1, I wanted something a bit more adaptable and, as my usage is changing, something able to handle interior photography a bit better. After messing around with a mates X-t1 for an hour I thought I would give Fuji a try. I couldn't stretch the budget to a X-T3 so it ws between the X-T30 and X-T2. I when with the 30 simply because is a newer camera so I figured it would be supported by fujis firmware updates longer than the 2 which is now 2 generations old. I've had the camera a week or so at this point, and haven't put it down since! It's not the tiniest lens, but is very sharp, has image stabilisation and is quick too. I will be adding a 27mm pancake lens too in the future, which will make a great travel lens. If you're considering a step to fuji or adding another one, the X-T30 is worth a look, it's powerful, light and great quality! If only it was weather sealed
Great product generally. Feature rich. Takes great pictures and video. Nice, fast autofcous. Love the retro styling. If you're planning to use this camera for live streaming, vlogging or long video shoots, there are three annoying problems I've found: 1. Fuji have not left enough space between the micro HDMI and USB-C ports to have both a USB-C and micro HDMI cable plugged in at the same time. You have to cut away the connector casing of one of your cables (in my case, the USB-C cable) to fit both in. 2. You can't charge the camera via USB when it's turned on, only when it's turned off. This is a problem if you're using the camera for Web streaming or long video shoots. I bought a cheap one off ebay. 3. The flip up screen doesn't flip through 180 degrees. So If you're trying to shoot a selfie, you can't see what you're shooting. Or in a home studio context, where the camera is on a boom arm, you can't the menus easily without disturbing the position of the camera.
I decided to switch to Fuji after my Sony a6000 stopped working. I have only had it for a couple of weeks now but I believe I made the right choice choice. This is a great camera. And the included 18-55mm "kit lens" is excellent. The menu layout is cleaned compared to Sony. The physical buttons and dials make it much easier to adjust settings on the fly. I have not felt the need to shoot in RAW or use post-processing because the camera jpegs are that good. The film simulations, shadow and highlight adjustments make it easy to control the tone of your images. The controls might take a little time to get used to, though. The positioning of the Q button is a little awkward, as it can be easily pressed by accident. My a6000 was easier to handle despite being almost the same size. However, these are minor drawbacks to what is otherwise a very good system.
This is an amazing camera from Fuji. It has the latest 26 mp sensor. The camera will be very familiar to anyone who might have used a film camera. Dials and F stop ring on the lens are easy and saves having to go to the digital screen for most settings. This camera is also one of the smallest and lightest of Fujis cameras great for travel. The camera I purchased was well cared for and sold at a fair price.
Like most photographers I'm getting into video more and more. I used my X-T30 for a friends school project and unfortunately there was noticeable focus hunting. With this camera getting such good reviews I thought to myself "how can this be?" Then recently the camera conspiracies dude made a similar video and he highlighted this same fact. As an owner of an X-T3 and X-H1 I do love Fuji cameras for stills only, but if you are doing and video recording then go with something else. I know the FW upgrade on the Panasonic G9 made a huge difference so maybe it can be solved with a FW upgrade, but for now I hate hunting, it's noticeable and distracting. Also, now that I've been looking at the A6400, that one has unlimited recording, and the flippy screen. I'm not a Sony ... MoreLike most photographers I'm getting into video more and more. I'm not a Sony fanboy at all but it does have it's advantages over this minus the lens selection. Not sure what I'll do but that one just did not cut it for me.
Although I have a Canon full-frame camera, I wanted a smaller camera for street photography and family photos. I heard a lot about Fuji colors and their sharp lenses, but never seriously looked into their products before. I bought a Fuji X100f a couple months ago and absolutely fell in love with it. I loved the logical placement of the dials and the intuitive controls. It's reminded me of the film camera days except much better - easier and more fun. Well that led to a "need" to get another, small Fuji camera with similar controls as the X100f, but with interchangeable lenses. So, I bought the Fuji X-T30 with the 18-55mm kit lens. The Fuji and Novoflex adapters work great resulting in very sharp images. I've added photos to show the relative size of the Fuji X-T30 next to a Canon 5D Mk III DSLR and the sharpness of an image using an adapted old, Leica 50mm M-mount lens. The Fuji X-T30 brought back my love of photography.
