It is one of the natural sources of omega 3 fatty acids in the form of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). They participate in the correct function of the most important organs in our body. EPA and DHA have a positive effect on heart health, and DHA itself also supports normal brain activity and maintaining good vision. These are essential nutrients that our body cannot produce on its own. Therefore, it is necessary to receive these substances from food or supplements. I personally use it for cholesterol reduction, prostate, eye and musculoskeletal health.

Excellent service and packaging, as always from iHerb.Misleading label: The front label clearly says ' 1000 mg per serving', for a total of 180 softgels. But one softgel = 500 mg, not 1000 mg as expected. As the serving size shown is clearly 2 softgels ( 500 mg X 2 = 1000 mg), it would last you 90 days, not 180.Misleading in the sense that you expect to get 180 softgels of 1000 mg.Nevertheless, a good product, but misleading. One per day is fine.

Very good

Krill Oil is known to have many benefits for the cardiovascular system and it's great for lowering cholesterol, my latest blood work confirmed it. While the combination of ingredients is optimal, I don't like that i have to swallow too many pills to reach the dose i need per day (~ 2000mg). Also, they smell a little fishy.

OK, so krill is a this tiny shrimp-like creature. There are 85 different species in all the oceans around the world, but only 6 of these live in the Antarctic ocean! Krill oil is known to be high in omega-3, which is an important nutrient for heart health. Plus, krill oil naturally contains phospholipids, rich in astaxanthin and the vitamin choline. Now, with many marine omega-3 supplements, the omega-3s are bound to triglycerides which makes the oil sit on top of the stomach, causing digestive discomfort and fishy burps.
