A basic and rugged G Shock Square at a reasonable price.

Classic fit

Rock solid classic gshock. Happy with the new option for dd/mm/yy. The fit on my relatively slim wrist is sometimes uncomfortable compared with my GBD-200 due to the stiffer band with a simpler connection between band and watch. I definitly know it's there and would not daily this watch. The viewing angle is what I remember from old school LCD screens and the look is classic and doesn’t get old. It’s what I wear when I’m doing physical work but also when I want friends to not feel put out by a fancy watch but respect the low cost classic.

I like the watch and the band a lot but the buckle and strap keepers are a complete miss. This is suppose to be a durable, stealthy watch but it comes with a dinky steel buckle and strap keepers. I dropped the watch off my lap to the ground (2 feet) and the buckle popped off. The strap keepers make a cheap jingling sound and do not hold the strap well. I upgraded this with some after market parts (matte black stainless steel buckle, black rubber strap keepers and a bull bar) and it is outstandingly better than what it comes with. For $120 I expected better.

Design flaw

This watch was not designed for a human’s wrist. It really boils down to a basic design flaw. The lugs don’t attach where you think they will when looking at the picture or when you look at any other watch in the world. It’s almost like the designers added giant plastic wings to the bezel…and these giant plastic wings don’t bend with the curve of the wrist, so no matter how big your wrists are, the Watch will look like someone put a watch on top of a 6” ruler. Was hoping for a great blacked out square but this one comes with a poor design.

Disappointed with negative display

The watch construction and quality are solid 5 stars. My disappointment is with the negative contrast display. In the photo it looks great. In reality the display is incredibly dim. It is so dim that it is illegible for indoor lighting conditions and from all angles except direct overhead light and en-face angle. It works great for outdoors in sunlight perfectly. For all other conditions, I use the backlight illumination, which looks and works great. Even though this watch looks incredibly cool, I wish I had gone with the regular display.

Good Look, Good Functionality, Some Manufacturing Flaw

Look and functionality of the watch are good. I wear it every day.There is a flaw which has gotten worse with time. Essentially the adjust button sits so low in the casing that at first I could barely press it down with my finger. It has gotten worse overtime to the point where I can no longer press it down and need to use something like the tip of a pen to press it down.This watch would get 5 stars so far if not for the adjust button issue.

Nice color, but needs work.

Wen I saw the ad pop up for this watch I was instantly drawn to it. I immediately ordered it.I've been wearing it for two weeks now. I do still love the watch, however it is not without issues. First off, apparently the plastic is extremely orous, because it does get dirty and it does not clean well. I mean I really had to scrub this thing and there is still visible dirt. No scuffs, just dirt.Secondly, the watch strap keeper- the little part that you loop the band into to keep it down and not flailing- is a completely different shade of the color of the watch. Quite odd.

The long lasting wrist bands are worth the expense

Cost a bit more than the low level Casio watches but so worth the extra bucks. Casio watches last and the thing that always goes before the watches themselves are the wrist bands, the cheap rubber breaks. THIS ONE has heavy duty (thicker) rubber wrist bands with the fastener part being made of metal so that will never break either. It lights up so you can see the time in darkness and does all the other things (alarm, stop watch etc.) you expect from a Casio AND the watch is protected by the G-shock frame. A great watch.

[Rewarded Review] Horrible packaging and lack of effort

Watch seems to be as advertised. Shipping on the other hand was horrible. My watch was delivered via FedEx in a ploy mailer without any packaging or box. The watch was literally floating around in the bag by itself. whoever packed my item just tossed the watch in a poly and sent as is. Also there was adhesive residue and paper stuck to the watch face, as if someone peeled off a sticker poorly. I can't believe the lack of work ethic walmart employees have, shameful and will not order from walmart again.
