Gaiam Yoga Mat - Premium 6mm Print Extra Thick Non Slip Exercise & Fitness Mat For All Types of Yoga, Pilates & Floor Workouts (68"L x 24"W x 6mm

So I have this yoga mat but in different colors. I do really like this mat, it is thick so when you're doing poses that require you to have knees bent, it does a really awesome job cushioning those bony areas. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because it was supposed to be "sticky" but it is really slippery. I followed all the directions to a T and even added water to the surface but I do still slide. But because I like the thickness of the mat, I purchased a hot yoga towel and have not looked back since. I would really consider purchasing this mat if you are doing hot yoga but purchase a towel as well to keep your hands and feet from slipping. Overall, though, this is a really a nicely priced mat as it is not totally outrageous like some of the other ... MoreSo I have this yoga mat but in different colors. So I’m not 100% sure this is the exact one I have, but I do have a purple Gaiam yoga mat that’s lasted over 10 years! That’s longer than some jobs, friends, relationships...you get the picture. It’s still in excellent condition too! I’ve taken it to the gym, yoga classes, and when I moved from CA to TX (and taking it back to CA again too). It has good grip (not slippery) and it’s also great for using at home. Sometimes I use it as a mat to nap on in my apartment! It has a nice amount of cushion and trust me, the thick size makes a difference! I’ve used other mats before and they were so thin, I could practically see my foot imprints in them and feel any and every little thing underneath. Excellent quality and great price. Use it to get a good workout or a nap. ... MoreSo I’m not 100% sure this is the exact one I have, but I do have a purple Gaiam yoga mat that’s lasted over 10 years! Hello guy’s divorced recently. I decided to buy a home suited for my family. I didn’t have the best track with funds in my past and my credit profile was faulty. My credit score was 521(TransUnion) 547(Experian) and 569(Equifax) I couldn’t apply for a mortgage. I was desperate to get an apartment for my family. I read good reviews about ROOTKITS CREDIT SPECIALIST on Google and CK after being referred to them by my best friend who had earlier worked with them, I contacted them via: rootkitscreditspecialist @ gmail . com and texted them on 760 474 3440 to inquire about their services. After that I began the process of my credit repair with them. Within 9days my score was raised to 811 and 5 negative items on my credit report has been deleted. Buyer Beware

I purchased this mat in color indigo ink along with the blocks, also in indigo ink. The block color was as shown and very pretty, but the mat color was off and had an unappealing shimmery effect (like 1980s disco eye shadow.) I returned the mat in its original packaging, immediately. A month after I know that Gaiam received the return, I inquired about my still- pending refund. I was informed that due to Covid, no returns were being accepted on mats. I understand the Covid concern, however, THIS POLICY WAS NOT STATED WHEN I ORDERED THE MAT. Gaiam will not honor the return. Not cool. *review sourced from Gaiam

Love it... don't buy anything thinner than the 6mm

LOVE it. This is the second mat I've purchased from Gaiam and I'm still very happy with them. Also bought one for my mom. I recommend only purchasing the 6mm or thicker. PS... I use this mat at my gym on average 6 days a week and it holds up fairly well. These start to "shed" after using them for hovers/planks for a while which I wish did not happen, but I've only purchased these mats so I can't say how they hold up against other mats. I called giaam when my last mat started to flake away but they said the "lifetime" warranty does not cover the "shedding" which is not cool at all - so don't think that this mat will last you a "lifetime" when you buy it. I think my last one only lasted a year. Not sure if that's reasonable but at least it's not as expensive as some ... MoreLOVE it. When this one has flaked too much I'll buy another one from this brand.

Slippery But Comfortable

Beautiful color, excellent padding but very poor performance. As other reviewers have mentioned, this mat is very slippery. I'm not a sweaty person, and I use this mat for doing brief 30 minute sessions at home, so I do break into a soft sheen. My palms break into a minor sweat, and I have trouble holding a down dog. I have to constantly re adjust my palms because they keep slipping forward. I hope that the mat's texture improves over time to become less slippery. I even followed the instructions on the packaging to wipe it down with a damp cloth and let air dry completely before first use. Slipped all over the place, even my back foot at one point transitioning from Warrior 3 into Crescent Lunge.Very disappointed in performance out of the box, but hoping with ... MoreBeautiful color, excellent padding but very poor performance. As other reviewers have mentioned, this mat is very slippery. Slippery at first, but I fixed it

I was really excited to receive my mat and immediately wiped it with water like they say to, and then left it unrolled to dry. Then a day later I took it to a class, and my hands were sliding EVERYWHERE. I could not hold a down dog to save my life. I'm not even someone who typically has sweaty hands but I feel like the mat actually made my hands sweat more. Luckily, I brought my sweatshirt into class with me, so I put that over top and that fixed it temporarily. When I got home I looked up what Gaiam recommends which is washing it with a 50/50 mixture of water and vinegar. I wiped it down good and let it sit out for a few days. I just tried it again at home yesterday and it actually seemed to work like 90% of the way! I think it's a good value for the pricepoint.

Very pleased with my purchase

This was a Christmas present for my daughter so I can't attest to it's qualities personally, I can, however, report that she chose this one specifically above all other manufacturers and is very pleased with it. She is very into yoga (for lack of better wording) and she said this was the best. Also, it was not long before Christmas that I ordered it and it came incredibly fast. I was pleasantly surprised by that. It was just a matter of a few days from placing the order to receiving it. My other daughter loved it when she saw it and I'll be ordering one for her as well soon. The color is very striking. *review sourced from Gaiam

Will never shop Gaian again

After unfurling the May it had a very strong chemical smell that did not go away after more than 3 days airing out. The smell was so strong and noxious that practicing on the mat was impossible and I returned it. I was floored to realize this company doesn't offer free returns like 99% of other online retailers. Even worse, the mat was returned more than 2 weeks ago and I still have not received a refund after having to pay $15 postage to send it back. I will never shop here again. Total disappointment. *review sourced from Gaiam
