This products lasts about 10 years. I have 10 of these on 10 doors. The first thing to go is the springs and leaver starts to loosen on them and then the lock fails. They are Chinese made and that is what happens.

I purchased this to replace our builder installed knob and deadlock combo. It covered the deadlock hole and all I needed to do was drill the four holes to mount the handle. It took less than an hour to install, I just need to drill the hole for the catch a little deeper as the old handle wasn't a deadlock. The quality of this handle is definitely worth the cost.

We bought one when we renovated our house 19 years ago and the spring has just failed. The replacement spring was inexpensive and very easy to install.

This the second lock I have had to purchase in 6 months! The internal mechanism is not strong and easily fails. According to our locksmith they fail often! As the holes for the door are unique, you can't replace them with another lock without replacing the entire door.
