I had high expectations for the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic, and what first caught my eye was the return of the rotating bezel. The last time I saw this feature was back on my old Galaxy Watch 2, and it's been sorely missed every since!Straight out of the box, the Watch6 Classic is stunning. It looks and feels like a high quality product, and the way it's presented in the box is excellent. The leather strap is also a really nice addition, and helps to reinforce this theme of quality. Couple this with the polished black metal and crystal clear display, you can be confident in this device turning some heads.Setup was an absolute breeze. Couple this with the polished black metal and crystal clear display, you can be confident in this device turning some heads.Setup was an absolute breeze. Going from a Watch5, the Galaxy Wearable app found my new watch and asked if I wanted everything copying over from my old device. This took a matter of minutes and before I knew it my Watch6 was snuggly strapped to my wrist and fully operational. Aside from having to add some minor preferences, it was a seamless transition. The actual watch itself has met and exceeded my expectations in terms of usability. It lasts all day, and then some. Although I don't like sleeping with watches on my wrist, I'm confident the battery would last all day and night before needing a charge. Which leads nicely onto the charging speed - it's lightning quick. I've often taken my watch off at the end of the day (at around 50%), put it on the charger and received a notification saying it's fully charged within 15 mins or so.Everything about this watch feels like an upgrade from the previous version. And although it does the same as the Watch5, the return of the bezel is what really sets it apart. The fact you can navigate the watch using something physical is a really nice addition, and I find myself using that exclusively over the touch screen. The buttons on the side have had a small update too, as they seem more pronounced but aren't in the way, thanks to the bumper placed between them. All in all, the Watch6 Classic is an outstanding smart watch. It flawlessly achieves everything you'd expect from a device like this, and has improved on the already outstanding build quality, with the return of some old features and some new bells and whistles (sapphire crystal display). If you're in the market for a smart watch, this is definitely a good place to be.

I've only had a Fitbit before so this smart watch in the form of Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 was bound to open many doors. I found it easy to set up, do the initial body composition analysis etc. In the beginning I was using the watch mainly for fitness and activity tracking as well as sleep analysis. On that basis, the watch lasted aroun 1.5 days from full charge, which I felt was decent. The watch lets you customise it in various ways - for example, you can reorganise the apps screen so that it makes sense to you and the apps you use the most. You can also organise the tile so that functions you use/refer to the most are easily accessible. This was especially helpful for voice recording function for me.Not to mention the aesthetic aspect of it. You are spoilt for choice when it comes to watch faces and can cater for various outfits from the most sporty casual to the most classic formal. There's a good range of straps and I have already accumulated titanium bracelet chain, original leather-looking silicone as well as the D-buckle band in etoupe. The watch face that is made of sapphire crystal glass seemed sturdy. After weeks of use, it's still as pristine as ever with a quick wipe. I also very much liked the rotating bezel element - not only does it make the watch look more classic, it is rather intuitive when navigating on the watch.Thereafter, once I got exploring more, I have made use of various settings to make my life easier. These included setting up to receive notifications from my phone (but not when my phone was on and being used), SmartLock function which keeps my phone unlocked whenver the watch is nearby and the single biggest convenience element which is Google Pay. With this, I could genuinely leave my house without my purse as I could pay for everything with my watch.Overall, very happy that I've added this little beauty on my wrist that offers health monitoring as well as many convenient and liberating features.

I previously owned a Galaxy Watch 2, and this is a real step up in terms of aesthetics, ergonomics, usability and functionality. The display is clear and super vivid, even in bright sunlight, the out of the box strap is comfortable and doesn't feel clammy on the skin, and I absolutely love the bevelled watch face rim that allows for easy navigation between tiles and within apps. The watch has a really nice balanced weight when on the wrist.Setup of the watch was straightforward, and I didn't encounter any problems; I paired the watch with my Android mobile phone, downloaded the watch software on my phone, signed into my Google account, selected the apps that I wanted to install, and was away. Connecting to wifi and pairing to my bluetooth headset was easy, as was adding payment cards to my Google wallet.Samsung offers an excellent selection of digital and analogue watch faces for every taste, as well as a good number of useful third-party apps including āno brainersā like Strava and Spotify.Security features are really good; I really like that I'm promoted to authenticate only when the watch has been removed from my wrist, and I was able to configure whether I wanted to authenticate using a pin or swipe pattern. The one gripe that I have with the watch is its battery life - I've found that with moderate use the watch needs to be charged every day. However, display options and a 'battery saving' mode are available, which I suspect would significantly reduce battery consumption, and the wireless recharging itself is lightening quick - a notable improvement over other smart watched that I've used. All in all, Iām delighted with this watch!

When it's time to unwind, I pair it with my Galaxy S23 Ultra to stream my favorite shows on Samsung TV Plus or dive into immersive gaming sessions. The watch's health tracking features, including heart rate monitoring, sleep analysis, and stress management, have been instrumental in improving my overall well-being.The Galaxy Al integration is a game-changer. Whether it's providing quick answers to my queries, setting reminders, or controlling smart home devices, the Al assistant is always ready to assist. It's like having a personal assistant on my wrist. While the battery life could be improved, especially for heavy users, the watch's performance, comfort, and feature set make it a compelling choice for anyone looking for a premium smartwatch.
First impressions count, and this is a large watch, at 47mm, it looks stylish and premium but looks large if you have small wrists. It comes with a charging puck but can be wirelessly charged on some Samsung devices. The watch comes with pretty much all the health features you could want, body composition, ECG, blood pressure, stress, sleep tracking as well as the usual exercise tracking. The display is clear, bright and legible in all lighting conditions with it being 1.36 AMOLED display, and the band that comes with the watch is sports style inside with a faux leather outside, and is interchangeable via a button on each strap (it is compatible with all watch 4 and 5 bands too). The watch supports LTE so if your provider supports you can leave your phone at home ...Ā MoreFirst impressions count, and this is a large watch, at 47mm, it looks stylish and premium but looks large if you have small wrists. All notifications are clearly displayed and within the app you can control which ones get sent to your watch. Being WearOS as well as the watch coming with several stunning faces from Samsung you can also download many more 3rd party ones from the play store. As with every wearable there are some areas where improvements could be made, namely battery life, with the always on display on expect to get a day to 1.5 days nothing more, with this off you can just about get 2 days between charges, which is not bad but isnāt an improvement on earlier models. Some of the features like stress tracking and body composition seem a little gimmicky, stress can go from one end to the other within seconds, so take their values with a pinch of salt.Overall, it is probably the best WearOS watch available and if you have a Samsung Mobile a match made (some features as Samsung mobile only like EGC and Blood Pressure)
Now this is a premium device. A true Rolls Royce of a watch. I was worried that the watch might be a little too big as I went for the 47mm version, which is the largest available but it is a nice size and it just feels so solid and weighty. I went for the silver and it is a gorgeous watch, instantly getting comments from people who are seeing it for the first time. The spinning dial and buttons are extremely satisfying to use and the whole design is just top notch engineering. Feature wise it has everything you want or need from a watch. I was concerned that the touch screen aspect would be too finicky and I would just use it for the basics but I find myself replying to messages the precision on the touchscreen is that good. Obviously it has all the customisation you could want, from alternative watch faces to replacement straps plus an incredible amount of customisation is available via the settings with a healthy amount of accessibility options to boot. Smart watches really have come a long way and the Samsung 6 is at the pinnacle. If I had one minor concern it would be battery life. I do want everything on all the time. There is a feature where you can limit it to just being a watch, this will give you over 2 weeks of battery life and there are lots of options to turn things off to get to your desired battery life but I like all the bells and whistles on all the time. 36 hours is great but there is just that nag that I have to charge it for 15-30 mins every day at some stage. It truly is a minor gripe and with some tweaking I am sure I can get it to over 2 days without sacrificing much but in summary, this is an amazing watch and I couldn't recommend it enough.
If you want a big, striking, beautiful smart watch that has the aesthetics and appeal of a large analog watch, then the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is for you. At 47mm and with large metal bezels, it's not for everyone, though. I'm an average size man, and it's *almost* too large and heavy at times. I got used to it wearing it over a week, but I am totally unable to sleep with a watch on even if it's smaller than this, so there was no way I could get to sleep with it on--the sensation of it being on keeps me awake.Setup is super easy with the Galaxy Wearable app. I was up and running in just a couple of minutes. As is probably obvious, this watch is aimed at Android users, especially those using Samsung's phones. (I tested the watch paired to a Galaxy S23 Ultra.)As noted, the watch is large, and its AMOLED screen is gorgeous. With the size and brightness, it's easy to read, something my middle aged eyes is grateful for. It also definitely catches attention. You can set the screen to be always on, or to save some battery life, it will turn off unless you take an action to reactivate it. I opted for the latter, and was very happy with the battery life. You'll need to charge maybe every day and half or so, depending on usage. I could see perhaps squeezing almost two days out. Charging is via a magnetic connector that fits onto the bottom of the watch and ends in a Type-C connector. No brick is included, which I actually found a little troublesome, because I don't have a lot of Type C chargers that aren't in constant use with phones or tablets. I do have a ton of Type A connectors around, so I may invest in an A to C adapter to make use of these.Feature-wise, it does all of the standard things one would expect in a modern smartwatch with regard to notifications and communication: email, texts, incoming phone calls, media controls, etc. All of these are well-executed and simple to navigate with the two side buttons or the bezel "wheel."Beyond those, however, exist a variety of sensors and trackers that make it an interesting health monitor. This makes it great for activity, but I find it looks aesthetically awkward for the gym--almost too formal or dressy. I did take it out hiking, and it automatically detected my activity and began tracking it. When I stopped, it stopped on its own as well and provided a summary of steps, distance, time, and calories burned. It measures your heart rate, but can go beyond that to also perform an ECG, which thankfully turned out normal for me. It can also measure your oxygen level, which was pretty awkward to figure out at first, but it matched what I got on my standalone pulse oximeter. I didn't do the sleep tracker because I've never been able to sleep with a watch on, digital or analog.Overall, if the look of this watch appeals to you and fits your body well, by all means put this at the top of your considerations. It's got a ton of features, a superb screen, great battery life, and a fast and smooth interface. Its large size is definitely eye-catching and it looks very similar to a very nice analog watch. Despite its heft, this is the best smart watch I've used and find it a home run by Samsung.
If you can afford it, it is safe to argue, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic checks almost all the right boxes. It does not break much new ground in terms of looks or features but is probably one of the most capable smartwatches on the market, with robust health and exercise monitoring and coaching and tight smartphone integration, especially if you happen to have a Samsung phone. As with all previous new models, the 6 Classic includes a modest collection of tweaks that mostly make it bit better than the one that came before. Although perhaps the biggest "new" feature is a actually an old one that was oddly eliminated last year -- the rotating bezel. It allows you to easily move between the many screens of information on the 6 Classic (only the Classic has the bezel)Most longtime Samsung watch users will tell you the physical bezel is a much easier to use and is a more precise navigation tool than the finger swipe or virtual bezel, which was standard across all models last year. The premium Classic version is built around a sturdy stainless steel case this year (budget models are aluminium) and comes in two sizes (43mm and 47mm) and two colors: A polished silver with gray "faux leather" (plastic) band or black with a black band. Stick to the smaller model if you have a small wrist since the biggest-ever 47mm version is pretty bulky. If you are not crazy about those band choices, Samsung makes it a bit easier to swap them out this year. The small, hard- to- manage spring-loaded lug pin of earlier generation bands has been replaced with much larger release button. Sadly, it appears most of the more ecnomical third party bands still use the lug pin.The slightly larger 1.5 inch Super AMOLED screen is very bright with crisp saturated colors and is protected by a tough sapphire crystal. And thanks to the rotating bezel the screen is recessed a bit from the top edge of the watch, making accidental bumps and scratches less likely As before, the watch is water resistant to about 150 feet, so is good for swimming and the shower.I found the new default watch faces offered this year pretty ugly but fortunately there are lots of others to choose from and lots of them are free. I stuck with a black analog face with red sweep second hand I have been using on an earlier model. As for new features, well, the list is pretty short. The 6 Classic has fall detection for the first time, improved heart rate monitoring with automated warnings (if you turn them on), along with new, more extensive sleep monitoring. Everything from pulse to blood oxygen levels to skin temperature (new this year) and snoring (optional with phone) is monitored now and there is a new sleep coaching program built into the Samsung Health app.As before, the watch still has complete exercise monitoring. It keeps tabs on steps, time, pulse, distance traveled and calories burned as well as elevation changes. More than a dozen exercises are included and some, like walking, trigger automatically after 10 minutes. Others must be turned on manually. Each exercise session is saved in the Health app on the phone, along with maps of the route taken, real time health stats and even photos (must be added manually) if you want that level of detail. If you are upgrading from the earlier Samsung watch and also have a Samsung phone, you will very happy to find that process is now nearly effortless. Using Smartswitch, all data from your old watch, including watch faces, health and exercise info and even settings will migrate to the new one -- eventually. Most of that data downloaded in a few minutes but the health and exercise information took several hours perhaps because there is so much of it. I have been wearing Samsung watches for several years so there is a LOT of data. But with patience, you will find your new watch looks and works exactly like your old one, right down to the small settings tweaks you may have made before . That was a pleasant surprise.. I have been through watch upgrades several times and and this was by far the easiest. The only significant disappointment with the 6 Classic is battery capacity, which is less than last year's model: 425mAh on the 47mm version vs 590mAh in previous top Galaxy 5 Pro model. That's odd given how much bigger the 6 Classic is. Still, the new more efficient processor helps sqeeze a bit more life out of that battery so with the always on display option turned off, I can go about two days before recharging. As far as I am concerned, the new Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic keeps its crown as one of the top smartwatches on the market. The hefty price may be a little difficult to swallow for some but it gets the job done on pretty much every level.
Samsung recently came out with their newest generation of smart watches, and you now have two choices in two sizes of each ā the Galaxy 6, and Galaxy 6 Classic. I received the Classic, which is now available in either a 43mm size or a larger 47mm sized round screen. Having large wrists, I have the 47mm size and itās perfect for my wrists. The main difference between the two is that the Classic has a rotating bevel around the edge which makes it MUCH easier to scroll through the menus without having to touch the screen. This one feature to me, is the best for this watch. The screen is 1.5 inches of viewable AMOLED with 2000 nits of brightness (meaning itās very bright, and even visible outdoors in sun when cranked up). Itās covered with Saphire Crystal Glass which is very durable. Spec wise itās a bit of a bump from the last model with a dual 1.4 ghz processor, 2 gigs of RAM, and technically 16 gigs of storage, although one you factor in everything thatās on the watch out of the box, you have just over 7 gigs of āusableā storage. Two buttons on the side give you additional navigation options to power the watch on, return to a home screen, return to apps, etc. You charge this with a disc-shaped magnetic USBC charger which seems to have become the standard for all smart watches these days. The strap is a leather-like material, but be warned, if you have a LARGE wrist, like me, you may have to punch an extra hole in it for a comfortable fit. Those with normal-sized wrists wonāt have an issue. The strap has buttons on the back you can press for a quick release to easily swap with similar bands, but third party bands so far, will still require you to fiddle with the pins in them to snap them on.The 6 Classic connects to your Android via the Samsung wearableās app. While you can use this model on most Android phones with little to no issues, you really will only get the most benefit and features from it if you use a Samsung Galaxy phone. I have been using it with no issues on a mid-range Galaxy A54. Setup is ok but not seamless. The app found the watch instantly once prompted and connected the basics, but it takes a little fiddling to get the ECG and Blood oxygen features to work and connect that part to the watch, and you swap between the watch and phoneās app for it to get everything going. The watch OS is pretty straightforward, and between the two side buttons, swiping up/down/sideways, and the rotating bezel, navigating through the menus is pretty straight forward. The one issue is that when you are in the app menu, it shows you all of your apps as their icons, and there doesnāt seem to be a way easily in the OS menu to change this to a more easy to read āListā view on the apps ā you pretty much need to memorize what each icon is.As with any other smart watch, once youāre up and running, you of course can do the basics like make/receive a phone call, text, and listen to music. If you pay a few extra dollars for the LTE version, you can make calls and texts without your phone. Wi-Fi models do need to have the phone nearby. I do find that the notification āpingā, where the watch vibrates your wrist, isnāt every strong even when set to itās highest level ā by default you could miss some notifications, but you can choose from a list of different types of vibrations, some of which are longer and will let you feel them more easily. Once you start digging into the menu you have a very large variety of fitness tracking options for just about any activity you can think of, plus GPS options, heartrate, ECG, Blood Oxygen, and more. Quite a lot of watch faces are included out of the box from practical, workout-themed, to cartoonish and crazy, and you can download tons more and even customize them to a degree. So you can make your watch look casual or formal depending on your mood. The ECG requires you to remain still and to have the watch in just the right position, and will let you know if it detects an irregular heartbeat (if so, talk to your doctor). The Blood Oxygen sensor seems pretty accurate ā I tested it against a good fingertip type of monitor and it was only off by 1 digit. Likewise with the heartrate monitoring. There is also a fall detection feature that will allegedly call 911 or someone you put in as an emergency contact if it thinks you have fallen ā I havenāt tested that yet, but shaking my wrist doesnāt seem to trigger it, anyway. The speaker is ok when using the 6 Classic for phone calls. Itās not SUPER loud, but in a decently normal environment, I can hear the caller, and the microphones are decent enough that callers tell me they can hear me ok, but can tell Iām not on an actual phone. I use voice dictation for texting and it seems pretty accurate provided you speak clearly. By default, the watch comes with Bixby as the assistant that activates when you press the upper button in and hold, but if you install the Google Assistant app on the watch, you can swap that over to Googleās version (better, in my opinion). NFC works, and once set up, you can use Samsung Pay at stores that allow it.Battery life is ok. Not bad, but not stellar. You should be able to make it through a whole day fine provided you donāt use the GPS heavily, or if you have the LTE version, donāt make a lot of calls on it. I would have liked to see a bit more battery power, regardless. Of note ā the magnetic charger isnāt super strong and itās popped off a couple of times unless I have the watch on a very solid, flat, surface. The processor is ok but I have seen a couple of sluggish moments ā again, not bad, but a bump in processor power on the next version would be advised. Overall, this is an extremely well-built watch, and the rotating bezel steals the show. It covers all of the basics and many more for a good smart watch. While thereās a few quirks to get it all set up and that could be streamlined better, and the battery could be a bit better, I still like it a lot and would recommend it.
Samsung has always been a strong player in the smart watch world by delivering stylish watches with strong features and unique design. The Galaxy Watch 6 is a welcomed step back from the rotating bezel and continues to showcase how the Galaxy Watch is a great reason to go with Samsung.PROS:- Unboxing I am immediately impressed with how nice the watch is. It has a really nice strap that looks fancy but also built for activity. I really like the stainless steel look of it as well!- The screen is the big bold part of this watch! It is a great size, vibrant colors, and Samsung really makes sure to use as much of the screen as they can.- Along with that of course is the rotating bezel, that's right its back! It is very quick and responsive and just makes the watch feel a lot more functional giving you a way to navigate the watch without having to just use the touchscreen.- Outside of the style and screen, the watch has the smarts that really make it impactful. It does a fantastic job tracking your movement and workouts throughout the day and is an excellent sleep tracker with meaningful data showing how restful your night was.- Of course on top of that it does have fantastic heart health tracking and can even use their sensors to measure things like your body fat, skeletal muscle, BMI, and body water. Really cool to get all those statistics to better hone in on your health goals.- Along with those smarts it has other great features you would expect like calls, texting, music, bluetooth, and receive all notifications from your phone so you don't have to use your phone as much.CONS:- It's a little heavy, which you get use to, but especially for people that wear their watches 24/7 for sleep tracking it would be nice to make them lighter.BOTTOM LINE:- The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic brings back the rotating bezel along with one of the best screens I have ever seen on a smart watch! It is accurate and provides you with so much health details, and simply just looks fantastic on your wrist. Samsung's watches continue to hit in my book and the Watch 6 classic is a great purchase for those looking for a smart watch or to upgrade!
