I love this game! Both the game disc and case are in perfect condition. The price was reasonable for the age of the game, and it got to me pretty quickly! Love love love it!

This is a truly great game. Although all the Prime entries are excellent, this one shines. It perfectly encapsulates the eery ambience that is typical of Metroid games but also has amazing, addictive gameplay. Highly recommend!

While it's ridiculously hard to follow up the original Metroid Prime, this game does it pretty darn well. Super engaging with some incredible boss fights. The new locations are welcome additions to the Metroid universe.

Continuing with greatness
24 August 2018

Picking up where Prime left off, This game is another great entry into the series. If you own a Gamecube or a Wii than you owe it to yourself to play this masterpiece. Again taking on the role of Samus Aran you'll delve into another dark world seeking answers and resolution. Only this time you'll face a newly discovered alter ego dark Samus. Hours of enjoyment and intrigue, worth every penny you'll pay.

Echoes: Another chance

I remember playing this back then and hating it, but when I got the Metroid Prime Trilogy for sale on the Wii U, those doubts faded away. Beautiful looking game and the soundtrack is also my favorite. THEY EVEN REMIXED BRINSTAR. The theme is light and dark and the switch between light & dark worlds can be challenging, unlocking new abilities and weapons, too Being I played the Wii version, the controls on that console are PERFECT. I don't know how it plays on the GameCube yet, but hopefully it is not that much of an issue. Buy the game anyways and add it to your GameCube collection!

Great games!
12 July 2016

These games are one of the best games for the Gamecube, they're very atmospheric, and challenging. Before playing them I thought they were just FPS, but from the moment you play them you realize they're not, they're First Person Adventure games, the gameplay is great, the enviroment is incredible and so is the music. All the puzzles and gameplay in general surprised me. If you're looking for some retro games, I totally recomend Metroid Prime 1 & 2. I rated the graphics as "Good" considering they're from 2002 and 2004. The gameplay is excellent, they're really enjoyable and challenging games, one of my favorite series for the Gamecube, I totally recommend them

I have been avoiding this game forever and now I know why. Fan made quality

I have been avoiding this game forever and now I know why. Metroid Prime 2 was basically sported as an orginal game by Retro Studios compared the last game. Meaning Retro was able to make there own story using the Metroid Universe. Like the last game, a meteorite struck the planet and the ( Unmentioned ) Chrozo race on the planet are constantly at war with the beings that created a mirror of this planet. You basically just want to get off the planet, but you can't until you have solved the mystery of this world. Meanwhile Black Samus ( AKA Metroid Prime leftovers using Phanzon suit ) hopped a ride via a space pirate ship and caused the galactic federation unit to follow it down to the planet. Meanwhile Black Samus ( AKA Metroid Prime leftovers using Phanzon suit ) hopped a ride via a space pirate ship and caused the galactic federation unit to follow it down to the planet. Thus causing you to follow the unit. To make things even funnier about this game; they some how allowed for your suit to become stolen by black Samus; just by touring the dark world. This holds no flame to the previous game. This entire game is basically smoke and mirrors. Remember the intro to FFX? This is basically the same thing. For the person who wants more Metroid from Nintendo and not an fan made game. For some reason I think a fan made Metroid ( any fan made game ) would be better then this game. In fact this game is probably better then "Other-M" which butchered the Samus character. I just hope I could fight more Space Pirates and not weird looking creatures that are bland. I also do not like how they showed more of Samus face in the visor. This game is basically and add-on to the last game. Will we fight Ridley as in the last game? Is there an mother brain clone in this game? When do we get to the Space Pirates, no really when??? Why is it when I fall off an cliff, I magically regenerate and not just get transported to another area ( like the cliff I fell from ). Sometimes there are doors in this game that you walk through without warning so be careful of the path you use. What really bothers me is how the entire world is shrunken down to size. Of course I am talking about the doors. What is really funny about this game, while it is basically what I want ( MORE 3D METROID GAMING ). It is really really funny how the cover of this game have an holographic reflective look. Because without that, the cover looks like an futuristic sterling, euro, dollar bill or an id card. Otherwise I will have to see how this game goes along.

METROID PRIME 2: ECHOES FOR THE NINTENDO GAMECUBE
30 September 2012

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes for the Nintendo Gamecube is truly a great game. The control style is exactly the same as the original Metroid Prime so you wont be spening any time learning the new controls. There are a few different beam weapongs you can get in this game, dark and light matter gun, and this gmae also offers the screw attack as originally seen in Super Metroid. There is even something called the annihilator beam! The main difference though is that the game is split into two worlds (light and dark). You have to travel between the two to unlock doors, acquire items and solve puzzles. Basically it's the same idea of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past if you've played that game. You have to travel between the two to unlock doors, acquire items and solve puzzles. Basically it's the same idea of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past if you've played that game. One thing overall I'd say about this game compared to the original is that it's a lot harder. The difficulty of the puzzles in general aren't too bad, but being that it's two seperate worlds in one, that makes it harder. Also the bosses are a lot more difficult. When you get to the last leg of this game, the enemies (robots) are quite hard to beat, some of them needing three super missiles to take down, and your timing has to be exact or your shot will do no damage. The graphics on this game are absolutely amazing, you won't be dissapointed on that score. Also, not a Metroid game since Super Metroid for the SNES offers as impressive music which conveys an ambience of being in a creepy situation/environment. You will recognize some of the tunes from the Metroid games of old too, which I find pretty cool. I think any gamer playing this game for the first time, it would be fair to point out one thing also: There is one last thing you must do before going on to the main boss to beat the game, you have to get 12 keys to unlock the last door and they are scattered throughout the entire game and all 12 are in the dark world inside a creature you cannot see without using a special visor. You can look for these creatures on your own but be aware it will take you a long time to do so. This is probably one of the hardest and frustrating elements to this game, after you've gone through so many trials and tribulations to get to that point and now you have to go on a wild treasure hunt. It's not too bad though. Find the ones you can and look up the rest online if you're getting overly frustrated. There also is unlockable content, photo galleries of rough drawings trying to show the development of the game. I honestly find this extra not to hold much water, but that's just me. You can unlock these extras by scanning a certain percentage of scannable objects just like the original, from creatures, to items, and lore. This game also offers a 2 player mode which is actually quite good, if you have a buddy or two or three to duke it out (you all will play as Samus). But yes, another impressive Metroid game from the long standing series from Nintendo. This game is definitely worth your time, just buckle up for a long arduous ride.

This game is both a first person shooter and a puzzle game. It's not an incredibly complex shooter though. It's easy to play and fun to figure things out.

Equipment players collect include the Screw Attack, which allows Samus to somersault in midair and off of certain surfaces, and new beam weapons that have limited ammunition. also features a multiplayer mode that allows up to four players to engage in combat using a split screen. It has six arenas and two modes: Deathmatch, in which players attempt to kill their opponents as many times as possible within a set amount of time; and Bounty, which focuses on collecting coins that injured characters drop. Multiplayer in Echoes features the same control scheme as the single-player mode, including the lock-on system for circle strafing while targeting. And that's why I bought this game I recommend this game.
