I bought these initially to deal with some untidy growth around the fence, but have used them to trim all manner of unwanted grass from patched up lawn to keeping the tree rings pristine.These shears are very sharp and its easy to keeping trimming, but excessive use will lead to blisters so save some work for another day.They have been been one of my best purchases from this site and I would struggle to manage without them.

I use these at my dads house for edging and OMG I love them!. Light and easy to use. They make a beautiful sound too as they slice through the grass.

Wasn’t quite sure if this would be worth the buck as I was looking for the more traditional lawn edge cutter. Needless to say, love the ease of use, versatility and sturdiness of this cutter. However, since I have to bend/kneel down when using this, it did result to some back pain; prolong use of this cutter also resulted to getting a big blister on my finger (but I guess that’s all part of gardening). Other than that, I’m still very happy with my purchase, hope it doesn’t break anytime soon!

Very happy with mine, I love the rotating head. Cuts through even the toughest kyikyu.
I used this to trim the Kikuyu that had grown onto my pavers. It couldn't cut a runner thicker than 4mm to 5mm. It could only cut blades of grass.
Great for left or right handers, rotates on top. Clean and sturdy cuts, sharp blades, I have used on very hard vines and no problem. Great tool to have to trim branches and vines. I use this a lot to trim my rosebush hedge.
I bought these late last year and have not used them a lot and they are now broken. I would have thought that they would have lasted longer since they were expensive and a reliable brand.
I use these every time I am in the garden. They are strong, keep there edge, and easy to manipulate no matter the angle you need to trim. Basically perfect
These were expensive shears! One would think they are good quality but they are lightweight, far from robust and mainly plastic. As one of the reviewers has noted they cannot cut thicker grasses, well they surely are correct! The high price will be because of the 25 year warranty not the quality. I have kept my receipt, and am pretty sure I will be taking them back under warranty sooner rather than later, they are just so flimsy and perhaps not suited to NZ's various tough grass lawns.
I bought these to replace a pair I bought 20 years or so ago and I am not disappointed. They have a great cutting action, smooth rotation and are easy to use - even for over an hour on stubborn edges :-) I would recommend these to anyone wanting a great pair of shears.
