I miss the old Melnor timers where all you needed to do was turn the dial. This was rather confusing to set up and you have to pay careful attention to the instruction. Not intuitive at all. But I suspect it's a goo timer judging by other Gardena Made in Germany products I have bought.

This is important now that our city has specific times when watering is allowed. The timer is very easy to program and has useful features such as delaying the schedule for a day or three when it rains.

This Gardena product is great, sturdy and works well.I bought a Holman Bluetooth and then a WiFi system which were both crap.I’m general, Bunnings are not cheap. They make you believe that they are but being a builder of some 40 years they draw you in with the Weekend warrior cheap crap but charge like wounded bulls for Sika Products etc and other hardware items and tools
This is good for my requirements and I can make things work to meet the watering restrictions currently in place. I am now considering the 6 hose option as an attachment. My Master Timer can handle this - just plug in and set it up. Once I have done that I will have a superb watering system.
Bought in conjunction with the automatic water distributor and together they are brilliant. We previously had 4 separate timers working so being able to use one system for all our garden irrigation is so much easier. Totally recommend this timer
The 6 programs is nice, but I have never used more than 3. Works perfectly. Fairly easy to program, but requires stepping through all facets of program to change one value in a program. Very nice to be able to remove control unit. I only wish they had a unit with more outputs that could be programmed independently - if there were 2 outputs I would use more programs. Expensive.
As with any Gardena product I have purchased, this timer does not disappoint. I have been using it for 3 or 4 Summers now and have not had any problems with it. The interface is fairly simple to use and the timer works very reliably. I highly recommend this water timer. I only wish they made a timer with 2 and 3 hookups... It gets expensive to buy multiple timers for this purpose.
Bought this last summer (2021) and found it nearly impossible to tighten effectively. The plastic parts needed a wrench to tighten to prevent leaks and the wrench ended up shredding the plastic. But it worked. Until this year. Water shoots out of everywhere drowning the computer. Simply doesn’t work anymore.
Good design. Did not work fir my application. It must be placed I. A vertical position. Turned out also the valve was defective in my purchase. This was just a fluke. The product looks well designed and easy to program
