Fantastic handheld MultiTool:Includes obviously the needle nose pliers with wire cutters, serrated & regular knife blade, saw blade, Phillips & 2 sized flat screw drivers, scissors, can & bottle opener, a lanyard tab, and carrying case for your belt. Good fit for my 'regular sized' hands, beautiful fit & finish. Nice locking feature to keep the tool open when doing work.Gerber made improvements on the basic concept to make a refined well made camping, shop, all around useful tool. Great for the glove compartment or every day carry.Kudos.

This little gerber is a nice compact size, with a durable case. The case has a "slick" lining which makes it easier to retrieve the tool than my other leather (when new) or synthetic cases. The case also comes with loops to hold it on your beLt in a horizontal or upright position.The tool itself is nicely constructed and well thought out. It springs open when in the plier/wire cutter mode. The needle nose plier is narrow enough for electrical work like curling wire for mounting outlights and light fixtures. The cutters work fine on 14 &12 ga. Copper wire. For Automotive wire work on radio harnesses it would be nicer to have the cutter on the tip, but that would negate the usefulness of the needle-nose for all the other fine work you can do with it. The knife blade has a thumb release to open easily and quickly. Its a flat sharp blade with a razor like blade bevel and seems to be great for exact cutting on flat surfaces. It cuts best against a hard surface, unlike a cutved blade for cutting rope and gutting animals. The saw blade, works well for wood, and uses the "shark-tooth" style cutting teeth allowing cutting when you push and pull the blade across the wood. It cuts smooth and is a fine tooth design for doing fine quality work, its not super aggressive. Both the saw, and knife bladed lock into place securely preventing accidents. The opposite handle has a locking serrated knife blade that cuts meat, vinyl, and foam board very easily. The scissors, are sharp and appear to be for paper or thread. Very sharp and fine! They are not as readily available as the other accessory and have to be opened all the way and flipped around to be ready to use. The screw driver (2 flat, 1 phillips) work well. And although i haven't tried the can opener yet, it looks like it'll do the job well. All in all I'm really pleased with this tool

This Gerber multitool is very good in my opinion. Upon first impression, I find a well polished, well designed tool that is easy to use. There is zero slack and the bending resistance is just perfect, not too tight or too loose. The carry pouch (holster) is made of soft fiber which I wish was made of tough leather, but is no big deal. Upon starting to use the tool, the first thing I notice from a review standpoint, is that this tool is inherently meant to be used by a person that has good use of both hands. Any person with limited use of either hand might encounter difficulty, and a person that is missing a hand altogether will very likely find this tool nearly impossible to use without the help of another person. However, in my case I am blessed enough to have full use of both hands and my experience has be excellent with this tool.Now, moving on to the individual folding sub-tools, this multitool has a lot to offer, but in my opinion these are meant to be relied upon as a secondary means tool when a traditional tool is not available, such as when camping, hiking, boating, or any other mobile activity away from you main tool box. I say this because the tiny tools found in this Gerber multitool are small and simple, and made to fold into a tiny space. The only normal sized sub-tool in this multitool is the plier, which is spring loaded and has a round, serrated indentation. This multitool includes two knives, a saw, a scissor, a “phillips type” screw driver, a bottle opener, a yarn hole, a flat screw driver, and another “pick type” tool that I don’t know what it is for. One of the knives is similar to a fish slicing knife, but under no circumstance should anyone expect to cut fish or any meat with this knife as debris and grease stuck to the knives will soil the entire multitool once folded away except, perhaps, in an emergency. The yarn hole is just for hanging, should you not want to use the holster. You must use your fingernails to open most of the tools so you should be aware of that. Given this fact that you need to use your fingernails, I would not buy this tool for constant everyday use, unless your fingernails can handle it.I have been taking it to work in the holster on my belt just to se if it is comfortable. Indeed, I easily forgot it is there.Overall, a fantastic product.
