ghd - Mini Hair Straightener

These are a great wee pair of straighteners. I am a long term GHD fan and these are an excellent addition to my hair care routine. They are perfect for travel. Will take a bit longer to do full head of hair than regular GHD’s, but you save so much space and they are very compact and lightweight. Really handy for a touch up and to keep hair tidy. They get hot enough and hair glides through plates just as you would expect with full size GHD’s. They don’t break hair or cause damage like you get with cheap straighteners. Would recommend!!

I really like this straightener.I have been lucky to receive it before cutting my hair so I tried it on both my long hair and then once I have cut it. It works well on both but of course it took more time to style my long hair compared to when using the platinum one. One advantage though is that because it has thinner plates it forces you to select a smaller section of hair each time with a nice silky result at the end.On short hair is excellent especially the fringe as it allows to be more precise.The heating up time is quite fast, you can't really notice any difference from the other types. The straightener itself is lighter than the platinum one so it is also perfect for travelling.

They have very small plates, which means they are really good in some ways but not so helpful in others.Pro's: The straighteners heat up to a high temperature very quickly, which is great. The plates allowed me to get closer to the root of my hair in comparison to those with wider plates, this meant I had a much smoother look when wearing my hair down at the parting (usually I am always unhappy with this part of my look!). They're also great for curling hair, I managed to achieve some very nice ringlets with these straighteners, great for a special occasion!
