I ordered these tongs in the Black Friday sale- I was so excited as I’ve been wanting these for a while!A month later and they’ve still not turned up- so I unfortunately can’t review the product. However GHDs complete lack of customer service has been appalling - they responded to me initially to try and resolve the missing product- but it’s now been 2 weeks and they’re not responding to me. They’ve taken my money, but I don’t have the tongs. Abysmal to put it politely. Hopefully a public review will encourage them to get back in touch.

I recently got my hair colored a little lighter than usual. I’m used to curling my hair on a regular basis, and use various irons. Something that I really loved about this iron is that there is no heat adjustment feature - it automatically has the iron at an effective yet safe temperature for hair. I also was impressed with how long my curls lasted and I was able to curl my hair in 10 mins. The barrel size is perfect for that effortless wavy curl look. Great for daily personal use styling.

I have very long, thick hair, and finding a curling iron that will hold a curl is very difficult for me. I loved the results of this curling iron! They stayed in very nicely throughout the first day, and continued to loosen up over about 3 days. With most curling irons, my hair will fall flat by the end of the first day. My only complaint is that the clamp left an indent in my hair at each wrap-around interval. It was unnoticeable after a couple of hours, so I will just plan ahead as I use this curling iron, and give my hair a couple of hours to set before an event.

To achieve the curls that work best for me takes some practice. But the lovely thing that I had forgotten about clip curlers is that they hold your hair in place, even that stubborn little tuft of hair that refuses to fall in line with the rest. No more going back for stragglers.I have very long hair, and the barrel length is average. I've gotten exquisite curls, but mostly towards the ends. It may be a consideration for some.Overall, this has earned its spot in your tool kit. In my experience with GHD products, it will last you a very long time.
Soft Curl is great for creating beautiful curls quickly thanks to the evenly heated barrel. Hair slides smoothly with this product because it does not get overheated. The cool tip shape is easy to grasp and helps guide the iron. The iron stand feels rubbery which causes it to prevent the iron from sliding on the countertop between ironing sections of hair. This iron can easily create a variety of curl patterns including full root to tip curls, and bottom of length curls for a minimal effect. The curls last through the night and next day, relaxing a bit for a beautiful soft look.
I really liked this curler. Curls are long lasting. The curler heats up fairly quickly in under 8 seconds. I like the shape the curler has on the end because it makes it easy to hold and that part doesn’t get hot. You can use this curler many different ways. My favorite way to use it is mostly like a wand but with the tong to hold the hair into place. The width of the wand is perfect for looser or bigger curls. It does take a few minutes to cool so I’d be careful with it after unplugging it. It’s also pretty easy to hold and not heavy. I found it easy to use and was able to quickly style my hair because of how well it heats.
I have long fine highlighted hair .I have found these tongs great .I use the ghd curly ever after spray alongside.I have found my curls last about 3days . I don’t leave the tongs in long as my hair is easily damaged . (About 5 ish seconds ) I then leave to cool . Once cooled I gently use my fingers or wide toothed comb to release curls and then I spray with hairspray. The curls don’t fall out . My hair looks shiny . Definitely recommend although they are over priced in my opinion, however I’m hoping they will last for years so a good investment.

The texture of this iron was perfect when it came to being able to grab onto it and not slip or drop it while twirling my hair. Another thing I loved is that my hair always tends to snag on the barrel because I have thick natural curly hair and other irons have this all metal barrel that just stuck to my hair. Not with this iron! It’s so smooth with my hair there was no snagging whatsoever and I could get a bit closer to the root to smooth out my natural texture.
