Brought this to maximize my WiFi for my computer in a spotty area and worked perfectly. Simple to install and set up. I had to download the drivers before installing as above user has said and saved so much time. Used it for almost a month and no issues. Done streaming and had no drop outs or had any poor connection at all. For the price and usability this is a the prefect unit.

Pros:- Easy to install and setup.- Good range as it reaches to my bed about 4 meters away. It can also reach downstairs somewhat okay with my headphones connected.Cons:- It requires the included USB header cable to be plugged into a USB header on the motherboard if you wish to use Bluetooth. This is not stated anywhere on this page which is a bit annoying as I didn't have a free header slot. I had to remove a USB header plug that I was using for RGB fans.I would rate it 4.5 stars if it were possible.

At the end of the day when it comes to your desktop, if you can avoid wireless, do it. Plug it directly into your router. Wifi, no matter how optimised in throughput is just not efficient. However it was just a matter of finding the unrecognised device within the Device Manager, and upgrading the driver that way once it was connected to the internet, and it hopped to life.My BT headphones work a treat with it, and it has a surprising amount of range. If you're going through multiple walls it'll cut out, but that's fairly normal. Bluetooth even worked with my PS4 controller! It was a delight to see that working. The wifi is AC, and does seem to give me pretty decent speeds on my fibre connection though I haven't done a benchmark yet. Downloading The Witness through steam took maybe 10 -15 minutes though.Pros:-Easy to install, compact with little impact on case real estate-Nice and quick, good range, impressive bluetooth. Good throughput for wireless.-Easy on the wallet, nothing too expensive if looking for a decent wifi adapter.-External Aerial has a magnetic base allowing for attachment to the case.Cons:-External aerial is a bit ugly and bulky, would have preferred something more attached that can screw into the case (though I'm sure one could buy proprietary aerials to accomplish the same thing, just a shame they don't come with)-Tricky driver setup. Comes with the CD to install, but without a DVD drive can be a bit annoying to have to find them online and get them onto your PC through external means - would have preferred they included a cheapo usb stick or something with it maybe (could be I'm expecting too much?)-Bluetooth doesn't seem to work immediately with driver, doesn't recognise the hardware immediately, have to use Device Manager to get the hardware properly recognised.

For ages now I've been using my phone usb tethered to my PC to access the net. Such laziness insured that my speed hovered around 30-50Mbps and sometimes even hit 90Mbps!!! Needed something a bit more reliable and hopefully (judging by the extensive online research fingers were crossed) faster wifi speeds.Installation was straight forward enough even if you're not all that familar with building PCs. Bonus I still have a CD drive on my PC that I haven't used in years but came in handy for this little beauty.Holy HEKA I'm hitting 449Mbps download and 279Mbps upload. Frick all this time I thought we were getting ripped off by our ISP but nope just needed to upgrade my wifi adapter. Bluetooth!!! Why would I need it? Oh....BT earbuds, UE Boom...
Bought during Level 4 lock down as a back-up to an ageing N WiFi card. Have installed it recently. Very easy installation on Win10. No drivers were needed as Win10 had drivers for it. This card has solid performance across 2.4GHz N and 5GHz AC. The old card could only get 3 bars of signal on 2.4 and this card can get a solid 5 bars. It is also very stable with no drop out. Highly recommended especially now that the price has dropped a bit. Have not tested the AX capability yet as I have yet to installed a AX router.
Based on the price this is clearly a higher end card, so naturally I had high expectations. My expectations were easily met and possibly exceeded. The magnetic base makes life easy, I have my arial (which looks awesome btw) stuck on the side of my rig. This is where the adjustable arial comes in handy, it can rotate through a 90° arc so that it's vertical (best reception if you're on the same floor as the modem) wherever you place it. There's plenty of length in the cables too so you can always dodge an obstacle between you and your internet. It does the job as well as possible and looks good - but doesn't steal the show, so if you can afford it, get this one.
A pretty inexpensive but necessary addition to any build. I use it specifically for Bluetooth personally but the range for this is outstanding. If you want to reduce cable clutter, going wireless is effortless with this. The magnetic base means it can stick to any metallic side of your PC no problem. It is really easy to plug and play. Although can't say for sure if the experience will be different for anyone else. It is kinda big (in my opinion) but I easily hide it at the back of my PC.
OK, this is product oriented to desk computer. You an see that it wont fit on the low profile machines.Works really good. It is hard to express, but you get the same speed that connected to fiber with the ethernet cable. It is really fast, and you will totally love it. Also, once you install, you can plug an extra into your mother to get the Bluetooth working, that also works like a charm.Honestly, I just regret not buying this before. It is affordable, and I will probably get another one and reduce on cables around the house.Don't have second thoughts, get it, it works amazing.
Luckily it comes with a CD with its drivers on it, but if you dont have a CD drive, you will need to use a tethered internet connection (i.e connecting your phone in tethered mode) or Ethernet. With internet, the modem is automatically detected by windows and the drivers are installed automatically. Linux on the other hand will not support it out of the box unless you use the latest Ubuntu distro (Not LTS). To use with linux mint or other ubuntu based distros you will need to update the kernel which has the driver preinstalled for this card.Additionally, this also has a internal USB port that can be connected to another wireless receiver for headphones, or other things. The speed of the card is fast and can be updated in the future as the receiver (same as many ... MoreLuckily it comes with a CD with its drivers on it, but if you dont have a CD drive, you will need to use a tethered internet connection (i.e connecting your phone in tethered mode) or Ethernet.
