Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 Super Gaming OC White, 8GB
The WINDFORCE 3X cooling system features 3x 82 mm unique blade fans, alternate spinning fan, 6 composite copper heat pipes, heat-pipe direct touch and 3D active fan functionality, together delivering an effective heat dissipation capacity for higher performance at lower temperatures. The GIGABYTE patent "Alternate Spinning" is the only solution that can solve the turbulent airflow of three fans. The biggest problem with the three fans is turbulence. Since the fans rotate in the same direction, the airflow direction is opposite between the fans, which will cause turbulent airflow and reduce heat dissipation efficiency. GIGABYTE turns the middle fan in the opposite direction, so that the airflow direction between the two fans is the same, reducing the turbulence and enhancing the airflow pressure. The airflow is spilled by the triangular fan edge, and guided smoothly through the 3D stripe curve on the fan surface, effectively enhancing the airflow.

Card has out performed every expectation that I have had. Paired with a Gigabyte Z390 Auros Ultra w/ i9 9900KF. My system plays every AAA title i've flawlessly. The only game that has given me any issues is GTA V. Once in a while it will crash, and I'm certain it has more to do with Rockstar than my machine. I'm not sure what the 1 stars reviews are doing wrong, I had zero installation issues and have had no problems with this card. I will say that Gigabytes software in general is buggy, and the interfaces are terrible. Really need to step up their game or stop trying to install all this crapware that does nothing to the value of your system. I have and will continue to recommend this card to people. rock solid.

Bought this card as an upgrade from my GTX 1070 and worked like a charm during the first week. Performance slowly deteriorated after this, from game crashes to just refusing to even open games to begin with; games that the card ran fine during the first week.Tried everything to rectify the issue, from updating drivers to even resetting windows to make sure nothing was conflicting with the card. Also put the card into a different build and the same issues occurred. Did some research online and found this card can be very hit or miss and there are plenty of reports of faulty ones in circulation.Absolutely gutted but thankfully I returned mine before my Scan warranty ran out and they were great about it as always. Extremely pleased, shipped very well. Card was working as described, but it needed new thermal paste. I am comfortable doing that, and now I have a fully functional and super cool 2070 Super at a great price. I'm very pleased! Would do business again, thank you!!!

Card is heavy, but that's expected from a triple decker. If you can, I recommend vertical mounting. Don't let the temp's fool you! This card stays cool, really cool, but physically produces a lot of heat. Make sure your case has enough breath, for this to breath. I can't hear the fans under load, but they could be dampened by the systems 10 others. Seriously, it's like a jet in there. (Lian Li 011 dynamic) With a few tweaks in MSI afterburner I found my particular model will pull a small bump on the GPU, (65mhz) but a significant bump on the memory (700mhz) without bumping any voltage. (Cards to new for that) So I presume this thing would OC like a champ, but I'll wait till I get bored of it.
I bought this card because I was looking for a new RTX card to replace my used GTX 1070. When I looked for one, most of the higher-end EVGA, ROG STRIX and Aorus cards were sold out and were being outrageously marked-up by scalpers. The Gigabyte cards (along with some other EVGA cards) were the only 2070 Supers in stock that were at MSRP. I was skeptical and thought that this was a mark of a shoddy product, but I took the gamble. I'm glad I did. Though not as flashy as some of the other models, this card is solidly build and holds its own for pretty much any modern game I want to run on high settings. Also, the white color matches my case really well. If you're worried that there's something wrong with this card because it's the only one in stock, don't be.
Ordered this GPU to replace my trusty GTX970 which I had for 4 years. When it arrived to me, even the box made it seem like a special occasion, I suppose that should be expected when spending over £500 on a GPU.Opening the magical box to find the gorgeous white 2070 inside was equally as much of an event. It's a very nice looking thing, and the white back plate really sets it off. I'm trying to use only white components in my PC so this sits right at home, being the first thing that catches your eye when you glance into the window. In terms of performance, I haven't tested loads of games yet, but I know it runs COD Warzone at 3440x1440 on high graphics and it's pretty steady around 70fps. Which is nice.Definitely recommend this card to anyone that wants to keep ... MoreOrdered this GPU to replace my trusty GTX970 which I had for 4 years. I bought the card yesterday so it's a bit early for a serious review. The card fits easily into Fractal Meshify C TG (2x GP-14 front, 1x GP-12 rear). The white colour is beautiful. RGB works, not important :)The card is set with the i5 6600K (4.8GHz) so it gets boring, there will be a CPU upgrade in the future.GPU is semi-passive.It has thermopads that adhere to the backplate, nice.In games, fans have about 1500RPM and it is quiet, except for Fortnite where the maximum temperature is 74C and 1900RPM. In PUBG, barely 62C.During the game in COD WARZONE temperature 69C and interestingly being in the lobby you can hear the squeaking coils :/My rev 1.1 have SAMSUNG memory.Does not have USB-C (VR).Great advantage is the 4-year ... MoreI bought the card yesterday so it's a bit early for a serious review. Obviously, the 2070 S is around a year and a half old. And so it would really depend on what you currently have in your rig. If you have the patience to wait until 3000 series becomes accessible, then you should wait. I brand new 3070 is nearly twice as powerful at around the same price point. I built a new system from the ground up...all white/black color scheme for my 50th birthday. I just didn't want to wait around for ever and quite honestly it is an upgrade from my aging 5700 Radeon with it's unstable drivers and blower fan and no backplate. Currently playing AC:V, CP77, and RE3 all on optimize settings via GeForce Experience and averaging 70+ fps. GPU temps vary depending on the game but I'd say around 65-70 degrees.
I was initially disappointed in having spent this much money on a card that made so much noise and wouldn't allow the same fan profiles of my previous EVGA 1660Ti. After researching coil whine and learning that it's an issue that doesn't just apply to the 2070 Super or this Gigabyte card, I realized that using MSI Afterburner I could mitigate the issue some. I'm currently running at 90% power limit, 80 C temp limit, +100 Core, +200 Memory, and a custom fan curve that runs at 35% fan speed until 50 C and then ramps up from there. I'm able to keep the card at or around 70 C under full load in Warzone and get around 90-110 FPS at 1440p (Pixio PX7 Prime monitor). The RBG LED on the card runs through it's rainbow scheme only, but I'm mostly fine with that. These are the reasons for only a 4 egg review. Overall I'm happy with the performance upgrade.
wasn't going to write a review since its been working like a champ but decided to stop being lazy and write one. i bought this to replace a amd 5700xt I originally bought on release. i already had a freesync display and was really excited after amd released navi. 5700xt looked like an ideal upgrade over my old vega 56. but sadly the driver state for navi was nothing but a nightmare for me. worse than vega. loads of crashes, black screens, and dumb stuff like green screens. after multiple ddu's, fresh windows installs, and 4 different drivers (two of which was a fix for one game that broke from the previous driver to the new driver to fix that break, broke another game which needed another driver to fix) i gave up and bought this to replace it. and all i can say i've ... Morewasn't going to write a review since its been working like a champ but decided to stop being lazy and write one. i bought this to replace a amd 5700xt I originally bought on release. i already had a freesync display and was really excited after amd released navi. 5700xt looked like an ideal upgrade over my old vega 56. but sadly the driver state for navi was nothing but a nightmare for me. worse than vega. loads of crashes, black screens, and dumb stuff like green screens. after multiple ddu's, fresh windows installs, and 4 different drivers (two of which was a fix for one game that broke from the previous driver to the new driver to fix that break, broke another game which needed another driver to fix) i gave up and bought this to replace it. and all i can say i've been extremely happy. not only with the quality of the windforce cooler and effort gigabyte put into it, but also nvidia's freesync support. i'm using a dell S2719DGF, which isn't certified by nvidia, but freesync works on it equally as well when i had my vega 56. i'm so glad nvidia adopted async / freesync support in their drivers. in terms of this particular gigabyte model, i was debating this and evga xc gaming along with nvidia's FE itself. I opted for this because compared to the XC gaming (not ultra), the windforce cooler is far superior. more surface area, more airflow, and I preferred gigabyte's solution to VRM cooling. evga uses a baseplate to cool the vrm which isn't connected to its heatsink. while gigabyte uses a heatplate which is connected / soldered together. compared to the FE, the FE does have a weaker cooler, but its also cheaper but I opted to spend a little extra for a better cooling solution. edit: want to add, that this version has usb-c port. the model that appears gigabyte is using to replace this one, lacks the usb-c port.
