I do mostly desktop with occasional older games. My case is a bit crowded and I was looking for a smaller card that still gives decent performance. I love it. Super easy installation, lower power use than my old card a nice clear graphics with a good frame rate. Has stayed very cool while gaming and seems to work well with my Ryzen cpu. Has reduced bottleneck issues I had with my rx580. Strange because I thought it would have been same or worse due to brand. Super happy with my purchase.

Got on sale, no problems. I don’t game but when running heaven benchmark on highest settings it ran smoothly at around 60fps paired with an i3 12th gen and 16gb ddr4 ram. Around 150 fps on medium settings.Very quiet, fans only go when it needs.Rgb is okay, customisable, but isn’t the best.Cannot speak for ray tracing capabilities, i didnt test it much.Note: outer frame is plasticHappy, looks clean.

This card may well be at the lower end of the NVidia 30 RTX lineup, but I was very very pleased with the performance so far. My old card, a GeForce 670 was not only starting to throw up artifacts in one of two pretty old games, but it was doubling as a space heater and the fans kicking in every minute or two made a woo woo effect that I don't entirely appreciate.Well with this card not only the performance is considerably better (no artifacts!) but it runs cool, there's no fan noise, since I don't play bleeding edge shooters or such like.Very pleasant, very quiet, nothing pretentious but for a 'lower end of the lineup' this is a very good video card indeed.

Decent 2022 Budget GPU
18 February 2022

Would be pretty nice at MSRP if it weren't for the current price fiasco going around. $250 would be solid, $400 way overpriced. That being said, it can run all competitive games at 144fps+ 1080p, new releases at Recommended specs and above (medium/high @ 1080p 60fps). Quiet and cool.RGB is alright, wouldn't make it a selling point.Only worth an upgrade only if you have a GTX 1050ti or below. GTX 1060 users and above should wait!So far no issues with this GPU.

Decent Card during current premium card famine
21 February 2022

4 stars because of availability and being priced near MSRP. Otherwise, works as expected at this spec.Best benefit: It was available!I got this card as a decent filler for a new PC build as I wait for premium cards to come down in price. It's not a stripped-down or hobbled version. But, it's noisy, especially at first as the fan bearings ease in.Runs as expected, similar in performance to RTX 2060-ish card.Pros:- Great price (given current conditions)- Available- Ray tracing support- Good backup card- As usual, great MicroCenter access/stockCons:- NoisyIndifferent:- No frills packaging

Excelent GPU for X-Plane
23 April 2022

I purchased the RTX 3050 for use with X-Plane, a flight simulator. I am extremely happy with it. It made it possible for me to go to much higher settings, providing much better realism. The worst case scenario for me is flying the FlightFactor 767 at the Seattle-Tacoma airport, with lots of clouds. That scenario went from 17 FPS, which is totally unfliable, to 60-70 FPS, which for a flight sim is easily above requirements.Another thing I like about this Gigabyte GPU is its compact size. My flight sim rig is a small form factor PC, water-cooled for silence. I use the NZXT H1 case, a pretty small mini-ITX. Flight simulation is all about immersion, so I need the PC to be inconspicuous. This GPU with its WINDFORCE 3X cooling system keeps cool enough at typical loads ... MoreI purchased the RTX 3050 for use with X-Plane, a flight simulator. I am extremely happy with it. This GPU with its WINDFORCE 3X cooling system keeps cool enough at typical loads for me to add very little noise to the system. It allows me to listen to my plane, rather than my PC!I run this system on Linux, and the native nVidia drivers are easy to install and run without a hitch. Finally, for me this GPU hits a sweet spot when it comes to price. Even in these insane times for GPU prices, it is much more affordable than its larger siblings in the 30xx family and it is more than enough to run XP with demanding aircraft and scenery, at pretty high settings.

Great Budget graphics card
15 March 2022

I have a Quadro RTX 4000 card, an RTX 3070 card, an RTX 3080 gaming laptop, and a RTX A6000 graphics card. Prices of graphics cards became incredibly high, so I also bought an affordable (at the time) GT 1600 card. But this budget card would not run on some of my applications that require ray tracing (RTX). That's why I was so happy when the RTX 3050 became available at an affordable price. I bought one for a new build and I can run all the software that run on my other cards. The performance seems to be quite fine for now.

It works, its quiet
11 July 2022

I purchased this to replace an old 980ti-hybrid that ran out of fluid. I wanted a low level graphics card that would accelerate video rendering, but do not play video games. The best part of this card is the fans don't run unless it's being heavily used so it's mostly silent.I would have preferred to get a non gaming version for a few dollars less, but this was what was in stock when the old card failed. So if you're not using it for gaming, but for CUDA cores, this is a good lower priced card for you.

Very pricey for an RTX 3050, 3060s are now showing up around this price ($379.99). The performance is ok, it's around a 1070ti but with DLSS and ray tracing support. The card is good quality, I like the backplate and the 2 HDMI ports over just one. The fans are very noisy though. And even with the loud fans this card still runs warmer than the other 3050 models. That doesn't make sense to me. So overall at close to $400 I'd give this card a 2.5 out of 5. At $300 and under I'd give this card a 3.5 out of 5.

I know gamers, it's difficult finding a card at a price that won't make you sell your liver. Unfortunately, the card market is still a little over-the-top and it almost feels impossible to find one. Remember, keep on the look out, you WILL find one!The RTX 3050- does what it says, it delivers 8 GB of memory and having 640 more CUDA cores than the RTX 2060, with it's boost clock being 1777 MHz. The title also mentions this is an OC card- keep that in mind. This card delivers Nvidia DLSS technology and real time Ray-Tracing- say like in games such as.. Minecraft or Fortnite. The card has 8 pins, which you can connect using a single 8 pin connector, or use a 6+2 connector that came with your prebuilt (probably) The card delivers fantastic performance. My current setup is a Ryzen 5 3600x, 16Gb 3200mhz RAM, 600W PSU.I have a fairly large case, and the card is quite chonky too- so be aware of that smaller case gamers. Now, the card does stand a little bit OVER the the 1660 TI. The card does provides an amazing FPS when playing games such as Apex Legends, Fortnite, Minecraft. You'll be getting about 90-114 FPS with ULTRA settings- heck, maybe even WAY MORE.The card also delivers customizable RGB, which you can download using the manufactures website. In terms of looks, the card looks SUPER COOL. For my setup, the card does get a little heated up though.Overall, I've been using this card for two weeks- super nice card, and it's an MASSIVE upgrade from my old Rx560.If you need an upgrade from an older GPU that can barely run minesweeper, or makes your games look like PS1 graphics, this card will do the trick.100% recommend ! !
