Fully updated for the new season, Giro’s Ambient 2.0 Gloves offer better protection against wintry conditions than ever before. Astonishingly lightweight nylon is the key here, featuring an antimicrobial fleece lining that manages to both keep your hands warm and feeling fresh over longer distances, with breathability removing sweat from the equation before you even notice it building up. On top of that, the soft-shell outer layer has been finished with a Durable Water Resistant (DWR) treatment to shrug off sharp showers, alongside AX Suede microfibre on the palm. Speaking of the palm, here it has been specifically engineered to be as supportive as possible without weighing you down. Fitted close to the hand thanks to an adaptable three-panel design, it also features a thin layer of light gel padding to help shocks and vibrations at the handlebars from causing pain and discomfort. Not only that, there’s also conductive thread running through the fingertips, allowing you to use your phone and other touchscreen devices without removing the gloves.
