Gitzo GKTBC1 Tripod Mini CF Traveler Noir
The traction and fixation system of the legs allows you two variable leg angles, one with a maximum height of 6.9 "and the other with a minimum height of 4.9". Each leg can be moved independently for uneven terrain. The removable ball head has no visible ball or swivel locks. Instead, all movements are controlled by the gear lock on the bottom of the head. The 9.35 ounce tripod is suitable for small DSLRs and mirrorless cameras weighing up to 6.6 kg. The cameras are mounted on the head using the 1/4"-20 mount. To store the camera bag properly, the bracket folds into a compact 8.7 ".

Bought brand new gitzo mini traveler but 1 of the 3 legs is defective.Thisbia the Gitzo Mini Traveler. It has a spring loaded locking mechanism on each of the 3 legs to lock in the 2 different angles. However, 1 of the 3 legs does not to auto-retract when pulled and released (the other two legs do). I also confirmed with a technician at Vitec that this is defective. This shows the poor quality check Gitzo did on its products. For a mini tripod that costs $200 this kind of quality is unacceptable. It's a tiny tripod for the price of a full size one. Some may say "it's a Gitzo" that justifies the price. So how about not selling something defective out of the box? After sale service is very bad. Very confusing about who to contact. The rep promised and prepaid shipping label since the tripod is defective upon arrival but i have waited for a number of days and still have not received it (already checked spam folder). This product has a lot of potential but i regret having bought it.A very frustrating experience. Also, please follow up my case with the return label.

The Mini Traveller comes at the quality as its big brothers I already use. Wouldn’t use it with ball head GH1382 to fit my DSLR’s, but it’s an ideal alternative to the gorilla pod for the compact camera when going out very light.Does it need a 200€ invest just that purpose? Not really. The Mini Traveller does have the best head I’ve seen on mini pods so far, but it definitely has quite some luxury value for the Gitzo affectionado. Therefore only 3/5 for value for money.

This is an amazing little tripod, build quality is superb. Worked well my dslr and a macro lens , wouldn't go much bigger though.Might want to put one of the legs of the tripod out front depending on what lens you use. Small & strong.

Got an issue - can't unscrew the head. Ikea-style screw doesn't go deep enough so you don't have enough leverage and it's factory screwed very tight. I just afraid to break the connection or my fingers. Also the idea that I have to have screw driver always with me otherwise it stuckes in one position, with head or without it is a bit frustrating. Other than that - excellent piece of Gitzo.
I am a Gitzo tripod user so this is a nice addition. As with all Gitzo products, extremely well engineered using top quality components.
It's a Gitzo, so the quality is there and it will do what it's intended to do better than most others. The one flaw in my opinion is that it's a pain to remove and replace the ball head to switch out to a quick release head. i got an Oben quick release assembly that comes with a reducing bushing so I can attach it to the tripod.
Well made. Perfect design.
Typical Gitzo design simple, durable, and made with top quality materials, carbon fiber. Adjustable to two heights. I'm using it with the Gitzo Traveler 1 ball head.
Fully expected to send back after deeming a fluff purchase that would not fulfill its utility. Happy to say this mini pod has a little swag with compact, legendary Gitzo quality components. Nice tight ball head and great rubber feet that offer reliable support on various surfaces for my A6400 18-135mm. The misalignment of the mounting plate is obvious, but doesn't bother me. Would be nice to have a sleeve to transport this in. These are sturdy pieces, but protecting the investment is a huge thing for collectors, Gitzo! Great job, BH!
I bought this tripod so I can use my pinhole camera at ground level and adjust the aim, without putting it in the mud or in a puddle. The tripod is amazingly rigid compared with other table-top tripods I have tried, you really do get what you pay for. Vibration from touching the camera is damped out almost immediately and adjustment is easy. The only thing I don't like is the tripod thread, which is rather short and only just engages with the thread in my pinhole camera.
