This keyboard is meant to offer the premium feel of a custom-built model without needing to wait for parts or needing to assemble it yourself. The package certainly looks nice. The board is incredibly solid feeling, and it doesn't suffer from the two things that I hate about most mechanical keyboards: stabilizer rattle and spring ping. Indeed, the sound and feel of the stabilizers and switches is top-notch. However, what ultimately makes this board not worth buying was the fact that they used far, far too much lubricant on the switches and stabilizers. This caused the larger keys (spacebar, left shift, backspace) to feel like you were pressing them into a marshmallow. What's more, Glorious acknowledges that this could be a problem and advises people to rapidly press ... MoreThis keyboard is meant to offer the premium feel of a custom-built model without needing to wait for parts or needing to assemble it yourself. Despite my having done this, it still didn't fully resolve the problem. If I'm spending this kind of money on a keyboard, I expect perfection, and this product substantially missed the mark.

The price might seem quite a bit crazy, and for the average consumer it probably is. However, this keyboard is top notch. Not only are the physical materials used of high quality, you can replace every switch and every key cap on the keyboard. Not to mention, you can use QMK toolbox to flash QMK onto the keyboard, which allows you to map any key on the keyboard to do anything QMK supports. For example, I could make my keyboard shut down my computer when I press the “ESC” key, as an example.

I really love this keyboard, it's fantastic. It has great weight to it and a nice sound. The quality of the keyboard itself is superb, I can't find any obvious machining defects on mine. The one downside is that the factory stabilisers that come with it are pretty awful, you'll need to replace them with something better. With that being said, the plate absolutely loathes aftermarket stabilisers as it made it incredibly difficult to get it back on with anything but the GOAT stabilisers. Be prepared to ignore the warning signals going off in your brain and keep pushing that plate down til it fits.

Overall, the best keyboard you are going to be able to purchase through Best Buy. This premium package from glorious offers a flexible 75 percent board that will last for years. In the box you will get the unit, a wrist rest, a type c cable, replacement keycaps, as well as two keycap pullers. Only critique I have is my copy came with an extremely generous amount of lube on my left shift and backspace key. This is an easy fix and can be resolved after using the board for a few weeks.
Many modifications can be made to the board, however standalone without anything extra the board is amazing; no clack sounding, nice switch presses. The only complaint which didn’t bother me as much as it seems to bother some others is the overlubed stabs. Other than this, great board. Something to think about though is the weight, the keyboard is probably 10 times heavier than any other keyboard I’ve used, which I’m a fan of.
So just got this in today. I have been looking at building a custom board for a while now. I seen this pop up and since I have the best buy card, I decided that it was worth it to purchase this kit as it came with everything I needed for cheaper than building it all separately. So for the pros of this board. It is already built which means you can take it out and start using it right away. The cable it comes with is realy nice and will be by far the nicest cable you own. The typing experience is awesome and so buttery smooth. I am sure with different switches you can get it even smoother. These fox switches are a limited item only on the prebuilt pro and GMMK 2 boards. These fox switches are a limited item only on the prebuilt pro and GMMK 2 boards. They are doing a limited group buy to get these switches without buying a prebuilt kit but do not have plans to keep these switches in stock for the general public. So yay exclusivity lol.Anyways, the RGB is great and the rotary knob is excellent. Nice and tactile and has volume up and down by default for rotation and muting for pressing it in. Its also one nice chunk of aluminum and feels absolutely solid. This is not going to move around on your desk and is absolute quality all around. Also they have a 2 year warranty and actively support you modifying and changing things on this board. That is practically unheard of in the custom keyboard scene. They tell you to open her up and tinker. The wrist wrest is pretty decent and is nicely padded, albeit a little too high for my liking sitting in front of the board. It has a nice solid piece in the bottom that allows it to hold shape and is comfortable. The key cap and switch puller are also really nice and the switch puller is solid metal! The keycaps themselves are really nice too and are so much better than ABS plastic. They have a nice texture to them and will not slip and slide like smoothed over ABS keycaps do overtime. PBT is known for quality and is the preferred choice for many enthusiasts. Now the cons. There aren't many but the stabilizers on the space bar are not the greatest. My right hand side dips down some and ticks a bit. These of course have been an issue on this board since it launched so that's not a surprise. Don't let it stop you from buying this board though. Another con, at least for me, is south facing RGB. I prefer north facing with shine through keycaps. We can't have it all can we? So if you absolutely need shine through legends then this is not the board for you. Not unless you spend extra for the polycarbonate plate, and get the aurora keycaps to help really diffuse that lighting around, and even then it will still be dimmer than north facing boards. Again, not the biggest deal breaker but it is something to be aware of if you have never looked deeply into custom keyboards yet.Overall, for someone that might be too nervous to build something from scratch or just doesnt have the time to sit and lube every switch and hunt down the correct keycap sets and whatnot, this is the perfect entry into custom boards that will allow you to explore and find out what you like and dont like so you can change it up down the line. You will not regret buying this board, and even if you are an experienced keeb enthusiast, some cheap upgrades and mods to this board will have you thoccing away to your hearts content. Just get it if you can afford it, and if you don't like it you can always return it.
This keyboard in my opinion is really nice but that doesn't mean it doesn't have its flaws. For myself I wanted to mod this keyboard heavily to get it right. I replaced the plate, stabs and practically everything and thats where my issues came into play. First issue is that durock v2 stabs are a very tight fit and I believe that if I hadn't got the polycarbonate plate they wouldn't have fitted in the board at all. Anyone who is getting this board and have these stabs already be weary for the fit. If you're keeping stock stabs then this issue isn't present at all and they fit very well but durock v2 stabs are a little tight. Next was the polycarbonate plate that I had fitted. This I thought would fit well for the board etc but when I had fully fitted it and what not ... MoreThis keyboard in my opinion is really nice but that doesn't mean it doesn't have its flaws. If you're keeping stock stabs then this issue isn't present at all and they fit very well but durock v2 stabs are a little tight. Next was the polycarbonate plate that I had fitted. This I thought would fit well for the board etc but when I had fully fitted it and what not the board itself had a minor bow to it. To someone who's new to the hobby (not exactly myself) this could be worrisome and believe that it won't fit correct. When the board is complete this issue isn't there at all but as something that's marketed as an entry point to the hobby just beware. Overall these issues here were enough in my eyes to warn some beginners before buying to be cautious of but didn't take away from the board at all. I ended up putting tealios v2 switches in this and had lubed with 205g0 and it sounds amazing I'm quite pleased with the overall build. So this review isn't a reason not to buy it, it's just a precaution to those who are entering the hobby and were going to mod the board.
This keyboard is not out of the ordinary gaming keyboard no,no. this is a little bit more special these are custom keyboards, and let's say if you want to change it up if you have it, you def can there would be no issue what's so ever with that!Honestly, one of the best fully custom keyboard you can start off with today if you want to get into yourself into the custom keyboard world...I originally came from a 100% (full size keyboard) ((Corsair K70 M.K ll Cherry MX Blues ) it... wasn't so bad and honestly loosing a bit of keyboard def takes a bit of getting used to but it def does feel nice and premium for sure!
This Glorious keyboard should be deemed a beginning keyboard creators blueprint. This keyboard is a bad boy…its not cheap it aint even affordable but ofcourse I got it in spite of that to customize myself and the switch and keycap combos you can do will amaze you. You can learn alot just by disassembling and reassembling it creating the keyboard of your dreams. If i dont like what im typing on its going to affect the quality of my work..with this keyboard it was the weight for me
This is a premium keyboard. I understand many advises of the alternative Keychron keyboard, however for me this is the better keyboard for the overall premium feel. Also to any custom mechanical keyboard, feel is subjective however the aluminum feel and weight of the keyboard is truly superb on this one. I would buy this over the Keychron. Keychron needs plastic on their wireless keyboard. This is wired which is why it's a more premium product. After you can do your own mods and switches and keycaps. But basically you are buying this for the base. As you can see on my photo, I have upgrade mine with the lord of the rings elves keycaps. I really liked the fox linear switches. really smooth.
