Glossier - Lash Slick Lift and Lengthening Mascara - Black - 8.5g

I’ve been exclusively using this glossier mascara for over 5 years. I loved how long lasting it was (lashes would hold a curl without dropping down mid-day) and how it would lengthen my lashes without clumping together. The last 4 tubes I have purchased all have been drying out extremely quickly (within a couple weeks), and the product has been flaking quite a bit which has caused a lot of eye irritation. Nothing has changed in my makeup or skin care routine (I’ve been using the same makeup and skin care products for years). I am also not an every day make up wearer so this should really be lasting longer than 2 weeks without drying out. A “your lashes, but better” mascara

If you use a lash serum or have naturally nice lashes and just want a little definition, this is the mascara for you. However, if you are looking to significantly lengthen or volumize, i’d look elsewhere. I like this mascara for everyday. It doesn’t clump at all, keeping all of your lashes separated, but provides a little bit of color and length while holding your curl. It washes off with just warm water and a cloth which I love, because cleaning balms tend to irritate my eyes. My only issue is that the fibers seem to flake off throughout the day, however I don’t notice any smudging. Overall, a staple for me, but not everyone would like it.

Don't do it girl!

Annoyed I was "influenced" and fell for the hype around this product. I purchased directly from Glossier, so it's clearly not a Sephora product problem. This mascara creates spider lashes, which despite reviews stating otherwise, is anything but natural looking. If you like the clumpy spidery look, know it will flake within an hour, so the effect is more "Panda with pink eye" (is this what they mean by natural? Anyone's guess). After removing you'll be left with lifeless, Sahara-dry lashes that seem like they'll break off like over-bleached hair. There is a chance applying tar to your lashes with a wand would have the same effect. If you hate yourself this is the mascara for you..

Glossier's products are for people who were trying to escape the caked on makeup days of the mid 2010s. Little whispers of makeup products so it would leave people guessing if you were wearing any. I feel like we are past that point and there are so many lovely mascaras that work better than garbage in a pretty package.Cons:I promise you, this tube will dry out in less than a month. You are left with a dry, useless tube that you spent 20 on.It does not separate lashes, adds hardly any length, gives about as much of a fan effect as a clear mascara.The only type of person I could see this product for is people with white/blonde lashes or very short lashes that don't want a clumpy look. But for everyone else, skip this one!

Loyal Glossier customer -- SO disappointed!

Listen, I have never met a Glossier product I didn't like. 75% of my makeup is Glossier, they are a staple in my routine. I haven't even used another brand's eyeshadow in like 4 years, daily use their lip balm, have been buying boy brow since it came out, etc. I was excited to try lash slick. This is the worst mascara I have ever tried. Now, it's possible I received a dried up tube... Idk. My lashes BARELY look different upon application, and after a few hours you can't tell there is any product at all (where did it go???). Zero lift. Zero lengthening. The actual mascara is clumpy and extremely dry, can't even tell anything is on the applicator. Very disappointed - honestly drugstore Cover Girl is 100000x better than this product for a fraction of the price.

Not the same formula as the original black one!

Okkkkkk so I absolutely adore the regular lash slick. I’ve bought many tubes and have been using it for years. I recently bought this brown one because I was curious and had never tried a brown mascara. The formula for the brown one is SO different from the black one that it makes the lash slick totally lose its magic. It weighs down my lashes so much to the point where it literally looks like I’m wearing NOTHING on my lashes. And to make matters worse it transfers like crazy and flakes so quickly and badly too. Such a shame because the OG is awesome. I’ll have to keep looking for a brown mascara.

Perfect for a soft, lengthened, natural look.

It’s not going to be for everyone, but this is the only mascara I like. If you want your lashes to look thicker, this won’t do it. But if you want a natural, fluffy look, this is a great mascara. If you’re sick of mascaras that instantly gunk up your lashes and get on your eyelids, give this a try. I love the natural look this gives me and how I never get too much on my lashes in a single swipe. And it does a great job lengthening my lashes. It gives me plenty of drama to go with a more full glam look, but it’s great for every day or no-makeup makeup looks. This is the only mascara that’s got me compliments on my lashes specifically. I think it’s because it looks like you have nice, long lashes, not like you’re wearing tons of mascara.

Separation is great, but weighs down lashes

This is easily the best formula there is for a non clumpy, separating, light brown mascara. It's such a light brown that it barely tints my own dark brown lashes (which is pretty cool; most brown mascaras still look like nearly black on my lashes). I also love how separated and fanned out my lashes look. However, it's way too heavy. I've never seen my lashes lose a curl so quickly lol. There's still a bit of lift, but the dramatic curl I established with my curler pretty much disappeared after I put this on. That's enough of a deal breaker for me. But if you don't mind a subtle lift, then maybe this is the mascara for you.

Surprise Win

This mascara took me completely by surprise. I loved the previous mascara I was wearing but it's quite pricey (about double the price of this one) and mascaras don't last as long as other makeup products, so I was hoping to find a more reasonably priced one to replace it. Easier said than done. I'd try a different mascara and then go back to my favourite because nothing could compare. I'd heard all the hype about Glossier Lash Slick and on a whim decided to give it a shot. I am so shocked that not only does it perform as well as my previous favourite, but possibly better. I like the "no makeup" makeup look, and this gives me that. I love how it lifts, separates and makes my lashes look longer, without any clumping or difficulties with application. It's still a bit more expensive than most drugstore mascaras but since it is half the price of what I was previously forking out, the value for money is amazing. I'm converted! I'm tempted to try other Glossier makeup products now...

this ain't it.
