GLOSSIER Ultralip High Shine Lipstick With Hyaluronic Acid Portrait 0.10 Oz / 3 G Pink

I bought this Glossier Ultralip as part of a Sephora Favorites gift set and overall, it’s become a go-to of mine. It’s the perfect throw-on-and-go glossy lip, in a convenient bullet applicator! The color Villa is a dusty rose pink, which I would personally say is the ideal everyday shade that goes with everything. Also, the shiny finish of this lip product is to die for. It feels so smooth and hydrating on my lips, and it isn’t sticky or greasy at all. That being said, the packaging of this product needs some serious work. The lid of this lipstick pops off constantly! Even if I put it upright in a slim pocket, somehow the lid will lift and separate without any gravity assisting it? Amazing Finish, but You'll Need to Exfoliate

The packaging is absolutely adorable. Even thought it is plastic, it's still made of a sturdy and dense material so you know that if you drop a few times, it will be okay. I love a sleek slim lipstick, and Glossier making them pink makes it an A+.The formulation is a 3.8/5 for me. It is hydrating, nourishing, and leaves a satin natural-looking finish because it is sheer. However, I would highly recommend exfoliating your lips before applying, or it will cling onto your dead skin. This makes reapplying and touchups a bit more difficult because you can't just put it on, you have to wipe of your old lipstick to get any dry skin that may have come up and then re-apply.My favorite colors are definitely, Lucite, Villa, and Ember. Beautiful color but not crazy about the formula

I'm a big fan of OG Balm Dotcom and have been using a tinted version of that instead of lip gloss for a while now. But I was wanting a bigger color payoff than Balm Dotcom was giving so decided to try this as a possible daytime replacement. While the color is gorgeous, unfortunately I find the formula to be really drying, and for me it does not have any shine. I started using it on top of Balm Dotcom, but it has still been very drying. Something in it is also sensitizing on my lips, which is odd b/c I don't typically have sensitive lips. I did hesitate a bit before purchasing b/c of the Hyaluronic Acid. I'm not sure why brands put this in just about everything -- for me it typically ultimately has a drying effect vs a hydrating one. Beautiful lip product with one fatal flaw.

So disappointed. I bought "pony" and love the color, the finish, the feel on my lips. It's the perfect MLBB color and it's not scented (bonus!). I was fully prepared to buy more colors from this line after trying one but I won't, for one simple reason: the cap won't stay on. After only owning for a few days, I've clicked the cap shut multiple times and found it rolling inside my makeup bag in my purse, cap off. Really disappointing I have a range of lipsticks from both drugstore and luxury brands that have secure locking mechanisms. More challenging is the fact that this is the type of product that is not terribly long-wearing and so needs touch ups throughout the day - so a secure cap feels important to have if I'm going to be throwing this in my purse. Fete

I love Ultralip! I've had several colors, but never quite found the perfect one for me.....until. I had overlooked Fete several times thinking wouldn't be flattering on my skin tone. I tend to shy away from super bright/red colors. Running out of options, I decided to give Fete a try, and I'm so glad I did. It's a beautiful color! If you're looking for a red that doesn't scream blood red, this is it. Definitely has a nice pinky watermelon tint to it, so you get the best of both. It shows up really well. That was my issue with Villa and Lucite, not enough color. Portrait was ok. A little bubblegum pink for my taste. The formula is amazing, everything it promises, it delivers. Horrible cap for Ember! It doesn't shut at all

I recently purchased Ember, and I like the color (perfect for fall). The staying power isn't great—but I feel that goes for all Glossier lip colors I've tried—that being said, I still occasionally purchase because I like the subtleness of the colors. Bold matte colors can sometimes be too high maintenance. Over the years, I've heard MANY complaints about the cap—but I have Ultralip in Coupe and Gen G in Malt and Zip and I've thankfully not experienced a problem with the cap not shutting. That is NOT the case with Ember. The cap is horrible! It doesn't stay on at all—so it is unsafe to keep in your purse. Very disappointed, especially for the price point. Landed on a Winning Shade

I am a Gen G fan, usually. I tried so many of these Ultralip shades...Villa too pale. Portrait too pink. Ember too deep for everyday wear. I gave them all away. I just could not find my sweet spot the way I did with Gen G.Then I see the two newest shades Pony and Cranberry and they both look...great. I waited months, thinking I would get my heart (and wallet) broken again.I'm here to tell you Pony scratches the Gen G Fuzz itch -- it's perfect! Not too pale, very natural looking. Enhances my natural color. And Cranberry is the red-adjacent tint I have been itching for. A little deeper and redder than Gen G Like and Jam, but still has that 'bumped-up' quality.Best part: The cap stays on UNLIKE THE NOTORIOUS GEN G CAP.PLEASE FIX THAT GUYS, PLEASE PLEASE ... MoreI am a Gen G fan, usually. Love the product, hate the packaging

Received villa and portrait as a gift and absolutely loved the colours. Villa is the perfect everyday colour for me and portrait is a pop of fun that I can’t wait to rock all summer long! The formula is comfortable and feels hydrating. I do need to reapply every once in a while, but it’s not a crazy amount.The only problem is the packaging. The lids WILL NOT stay on the lipsticks, making it such an annoyance to bring it anywhere with you for reapplication. Villa ended up smearing all over my purse on a night out after the second time I wore it. I really liked the colour so I repurchased myself hoping that was just a bad one. Nice product, bad packaging

I bought this product in Pony and Cachet at the store in Seattle. Customer service there was top notch and I like the products. However:Glossier, stop calling this lipstick/balm/tint with buildable color. It's a tinted balm at best, which is okay. I wear it over lip liner to give it a boost. But it is not buildable on its own, and it is definitely not lipstick.The cap will not stay on the tube. I tossed mine into my handbag like all my other lip products; the caps came off and the product gouged and smeared all over the place. I cleaned everything up and tried putting them in a small zippered compartment. The caps still came off but at least the mess was contained.I really do like the colors, so maybe I'll try roughing up the inside of the cap and the tube itself ... MoreI bought this product in Pony and Cachet at the store in Seattle.
