I bought this Gen3 because it's compatible with my Comotomo bottle. but this is a bit heavy n hard. \nQuite disappointed that the bottle is too thick to be warmed. It doesn't fit in bottle warmer. And the milk inside is still cold after I put it in hot water for 10min.\nP/S: I really regret buying this Gen 3 instead of Gen 2. I spilled my milk as the suction is not very stable. T. T

This is so so so much easier and simpler to use compared to those battery operated pumps which are bulky, heavy and comes with 1001 small parts. The suction is also very strong and solid - to achieve strong solid suction, you need to also compress the base of the milk collector before attaching pump to breast. Highly recommend this to all breastfeeding mums. No regrets getting my very first Haakaa Gen 3 pump/milk collector.

I only ever used this Haakaa when my milk came in and I was engorged. At that time, I could leak 3oz while my LO was nursing on the opposite breast - that’s liquid GOLD! It suctioned well and as long as my baby wasn’t squirmy, it stayed put quite well. It didn’t suction so much that it would deplete me; it only caught what was going to leak out regardless. The silicone container is perfect because I could pinch the top and easily pour it into a bottle or breastmilk storage bag. I would have no problem recommending this to breastfeeding moms.

Love this product!!! This handy little thing is incredible at helping to save every single drop of breastmilk (instead of it leaking all over the place) whenever I would bf my babies I would just suction this to the side I wasn’t feeding with and it caught so much breastmilk. It helped increase my supply bc it’s removing milk from the breast and helped me build a freezer stash without even trying. Also it’s super easy to clean and sterilize instead of an electric pump with so many parts. Also genius that this pump can turn into a bottle to feed the baby too. The bottle is very similar to the comotomo bottles. I literally recommend this to every single person I know who is having a baby and plans to breastfeed!
I came across the Haakaa breast pumps on Instagram and was so excited to get my hands on one. I decided to go with the gen 3 premium pump pack as it had the covers and the teats as well as the pump attachment. Loved the packaging and the look of the pump - but unfortunately thats where it ended for me. The first issue I had was with the bottle when attached to the teat - one of the two bottles I have had quite a bad leak where they join together. I checked and triple checked that it was screwed on correctly and firmly and still every time I tilted it to feed my baby, it would leak out at the join.I have had very little success getting a good seal around the breast despite trying many different positions. I try for about 20 minutes with little to no luck getting a good suction and usually end up hand expressing.I also find the teat difficult to work with. It is a soft silicone which is great but it creases and pops down which makes it difficult for my baby to drink.I have seen so many positive reviews so I have no doubt that it’s a great brand with some great products but unfortunately I have had a disappointing experience. Such a shame.
Curious my first review wasn’t published. Feeling frustrated with this product.Approx 8 weeks on and the product barely works. Although the bottle is easier to squeeze now to allow placement (was originally very stiff that it hurt the hands to place), it has now lost all suction so it falls off all the time. Also when placing the lids on to the bottle, I’ve found that they now leak when you’re mixing the milk.To add that my last review, I also mentioned that one of the teats didn’t flow and the other one took him an exceptional amount of time to drink through - no issues once I swapped bottle brands.I wouldn’t bother with the 3rd gen, stick to the original
Amazing! I bought this prior to my baby being born for later on after my milk settled and returning back to work after 10 months off to have on while feeding from opposite side to build up a supply for freezer.Unfortunately my baby came at 35 weeks and difficult to get to latch to breast to feed most times being a smaller weight and gestation at birth. So glad I bought this ahead as I have not required to buy an electric pump to express my breast milk to feed my baby. My baby is 7 days old now and I use the haaka every 3 hours to maintain and build up supply for when she can feed directly from the breast. Currently I am able to express regulary 30 to 60mls from the combination of both sides to provide my baby expressed breast milk. I wish I bought a bigger set ... MoreAmazing! So I could of used the haaka bottle/nipple and later on a sippy cup. Realise I defiantly need to buy a stopper though to easily secure the milk in pump while I am feeding, can be difficult putting the silicone cap on with one hand. This is my second baby and I was able to successfully breast feed first born, wish I had this then! 100% recommend to any mother. Or please provide it as a baby shower gift!Easy to use, comfortable. An walk around with it hands free, noise free!
I absolutely love this Gen 3 Haakaa I have the Gen 2 while I love the suction base on G2 I found I always had it get knocked off my other boob by little one kicking me 🙄 with this one it was a wider base and feels more secure I have had zero spills. It also helps me get much more milk out huge difference and less pain with suction (Haakaa users will know what I mean). My only critique is the test seems really really slow for my LO. For reference we use a current teat by a brand starting with M and uniquely shaped as a nipple teat and still use the 1 month flow (my LO is 5 1/2mnths) so the slow Haakaa nipple is incredibly slow considering we don’t use generic fast flow teats. Do yourself a favour and buy this pump! Skip previous generations!
The Haakaa breast pump and bottle set is nothing short of life changing for my second baby! I only wish I knew about it for my first. It is now my go to shower gift! And my number one recommended product for a breastfeeding momma. Passively being able to build my freezer stash without all the hassle of electric pumping is such a time saver! Not to mention way less product to clean. I am convinced it single-handedly kept me from the under supply I had with my first baby. The third generation Haakaa is my favorite because of it’s ability to be a bottle all in one! So convenient for moms on the go. You will not regret this purchase.
I purchased this because I thought it would be more convenient not to have to decant milk into another bottle. Also, the wider base would be more stable when sitting on the table than the 1st generation Haakaa. Those features are great. The shield fits comfortably. It's easy to wash, and it collects precious milk that otherwise would have been wasted. The downsides are that this feels much heavier than the one-piece 1st generation Haakaa, requiring more suction to stay attached. I would recommend the 1st gen Haakaa instead of the pump and bottle set because of the weight of the set. But, if you have very fast let-down of larger volumes, more than 2 ounces or so, the pump and bottle set has more capacity.Prior to this purchase, I already bought a 1st generation ... But, if you have very fast let-down of larger volumes, more than 2 ounces or so, the pump and bottle set has more capacity.Prior to this purchase, I already bought a 1st generation Haakaa, a similar NatureBond knockoff, and a Medela Swing single electric pump. The 1st gen Haakaa is my favorite -- it is soft, comfortable, lightweight, easy to clean, stays attached, and collects a lot of milk for very little effort. The NatureBond is stiffer, so it does not stay attached to me, but it also works well as long as I keep re-suctioning. I frequently got plugged ducts from the Medela Swing, even after switching shields to Pumpin' Pals, and I collected comparable amounts of milk to the 1st gen Haakaa or NatureBond, so I no longer use the Medela. Like many other reviewers, I wish I had known about Haakaa with my older children or in the early oversupply days of my latest baby. The bottle is very convenient to have, and the included nipple is very soft. My baby liked it immediately, although she was unable to hold it herself. But, once there's milk being stored in the bottle, I would need to buy another bottle or pour the milk into another storage bottle if I needed to use this pump again before feeding the 1st bottle.
