I bought this fine carafe to hold my Hario 02 Glass Dripper for pour over. Sure you could just lay your dripper directly over your coffee mug but this holder serves a couple great purposes. One, is you can see how much volume it's producing and observe the coffee as its brewing. I doubt you'll over flow, if you use your mug, but depending on the size, you could. Second, I pour about half the amount at the end into my cup, and then use the cover to close it up and keep it warm. It's easy to throw it back in a microwave to reheat it as well rather then your coffee cup as some of my cup's are not suppose to go in there. It's a lot sturdier than it looks. I think its a great purchase for the price and the Glass Dripper and this work well. Like someone mentioned, the dropper sits gently on top and you could easily knock it over if you are not careful.

I love this range server! I own the 03 server. The beehive glass looks amazing! Technically you do not "need" one to brew a v60, but the functionality of the server out weighs the "not needing it." Using the server alows you to brew the optimal coffee groud to water ratio, I use 27g of coffee with 415g of water. Thus, you can stay true to the process without modifying the parameters just to fit into your typical 8-10 ounce mug. You can pour however much coffee you want into your mug and once you have more room pour the rest of the coffee into the mug. Unless you have 16 ounce or larger mugs then just pour it all! Plus you can watch the coffee brew and drip and take sick pics. If you are only brewing for yourself, then the 02 will be the best option. If you are ... MoreI love this range server! I'm the only weird coffee person in the house, usually my v60 goes straight into a cup. But this is a great solution for guests. It is a beautiful piece and pours fantastically (no frustrating dribbles to speak of). It is also deceptively compact for the amount it holds, achieved with a wide base. It does feel delicate, so probably worth taking care where you keep it.

I previously brewed coffee into a large metal travel mug and then struggled to pour it into separate cups without making a mess, so this carafe was a welcome addition to my pour over setup! It works well with my ceramic V60-02, is perfect for brewing coffee using 500 g of water, and pours well. It comes with a lid which is nice (I think to improve heat retention), though I haven’t used it much so can’t comment on its effectiveness.
I usually make a single serve pour over directly into my opaque coffee cup. However, when I have time I like to use the server as it is good to see the coffee dripping into the server. Because of its shape, the server itself is very stable and something about the quality of the glass seems to enhance the appearance of the coffee. Turns an ordinary cup of coffee into an event. The server was collected directly from the warehouse and the people I dealt with were very efficient and pleasant. A great experience.
I needed a coffee server to pour over lots and drink through the day. There are a few on my list and I chose this Hario's. It's sturdy, has perfect capacity, has heatproof glass, and has a lid. Well, I liked other designs more tho.Guess what, IT LOOKS SO BEAUTIFUL when I see it in my hands. This is perfect. Even the lid looks much better than I expected. It's a shame I can't upload all those real pictures for other consumers.I'll recommend this coffee server to everyone!
I’ve been using this with my new medium Origami Dripper. I love it. It is the right size for brewing for one person. I have brewed tea in it too. I think I will order more, and I will use them to make different teas in advance. I live in Alabama and we drink our tea on ice. I like the Tazo Wild Sweet Orange. Then add fresh squeeze of orange, lemon or lime…. Whatever you got. And add sweetener if you like, or not. This container looks cool. Get you one, or five!
Like the server , works great for our pour overs, haven?t had much use for the cap . The glass seems very delicate but has with held over 100 uses with the V60 no issues , and a couple Aero Press?s . (Don?t do it )! I Don?t think it would hold up to the weight and pressure needed for very long. The fit is not that great and a little movement with pressure the glass could give way. I have successfully put this on our Technivorm Mocamasters heat plate with no issues. There are warnings against this so tread carefully. Going to purchase another to have a couple stations to do single serving pours.
I hesitated before getting this, I had previously used two other Hario servers, which, after much love and use, I chipped the glass. I was worried this would feel like fragile glass. This little range server feels both durable and is aesthetically the cutest coffee server that you ever did see. The glass feels slightly thicker than the other Hario servers I have owned. The lid serves as a stand for your V60. I wish I had gotten this sooner!
