Honestly nothing will ever measure up to the love I have for these books. They became such an integral part of my childhood and just my overall being. For awhile after starting school I began to associate reading with strictly schoolwork and didn’t find it enjoyable anymore. It’s why these books are so well loved, but more importantly for all of the fantasy aspects there’s the heart of the story in the characters and their stories as well. I’m an adult and I’m still wishing I’d get a letter to Hogwarts! I don’t think I’ll ever tire of these books and I look forward to seeing the generations to come appreciate them just as much as we did.

The font is large enough, easy to read, the letters are well printed. There are a few typos in the text, but not critical ones. Books are read quickly, in one breath. Despite the fact that I have not been a child for a long time and I have already read quite a lot of books, it was interesting to read. I saw the movie, but I was still worried about the characters and thought "What will happen next?". I like that a lot of things are connected in the book. We meet some object or some creature and do not understand what it is here for, but what seems to us a mystery after a while reveals itself and makes sense. I bought the set of these for my oldest daughter as she has always got her head stuck in a book whenever she can. And because she prefers to read a series of them, one after the other, I bought these Harry Potter ones and she loved them. Once she had opened the first one, that was it, we had a very quiet few days off her, she was absolutely engrossed. She wants to see all the films now, one after the other she loved them so much.

I love these harry Potter series and this book was actually my turning point in reading not that I did not read before that but I was attracted to series and trilogy after reading this I’m excited to give this set to our neighbor and classmates for them to enjoy and return. I have been wanting to read the whole series for a while and I am very pleased with the quality of this paperback set for the price. I expected mass market paperback quality considering it was priced apt.Always one of my favourite fantasy fictions. The box set was finely packed and the best gift I could give myself to survive this lockdown. No complaints, go ahead and indulge yourself into the best of worlds reading these books for knowledge, entertainment , vocabulary.

The theme throughout the series of books is the looming threat of the dark wizard Voldemort who tried and failed to kill Harry as an infant. The author JK Rowling, wrote the books with the intention that kids about Harry's age could start reading them and then age with the characters in the books. So, they do get progressively darker and more "adult" as the series goes on. The first couple of books are easily appropriate for 10-11 year-olds, but the later books are probably more appropriate for those in the 13-15-year-old (on up) age range. Even though they are technically kids' books, they can easily be enjoyed by adults. . The books also get longer as the series goes on, so if you have seen the movies, there is a lot that happens in the books, especially books 3-6 that get cut out of the movies. I do think, on the whole, the books are better than the movies, but I think there are some things that the movies tweaked from the books that worked better. Overall, it is a great book series. The story is unique in that, as opposed to a lot of other books in the sci-fi/fantasy genre that set their stories on made-up worlds that have little in common with our reality, it sets the world of magic in the "real" world in contemporary times, just making it clear that people without the magical ability (called muggles) are largely unaware of the existence of magic. If you are one of the few who have yet to read the books, I highly recommend them.

This is going to be one of those long and boring reviews… sorry! When Sorcerers stone came out 20 years ago, I had absolutely no desire to read that book or bother with the entire franchise. Nothing about Harry Potter captivated me. I hated the idea of this new world with all these new words and schools… it just seemed like it was a little too much…. I avoided anything Harry Potter for the next 15 years lol. It took a trip to universal studios to FINALLY get me curious about what the heck I was looking at! Eventually I decided to pick up that first book…then the second… then the third…and so forth. These books are so much more than what I assumed of it! I got this set for my fiancé for Father's Day. He was never able to watch the movies or read the books as a kid, so as an adult he fully fell in love with the series. He has listened to each book several times so I decided to get him the books. I didn't think he'd read them (he's not a fan of reading) but to my surprise he is actually reading them! So I highly recommend this series especially for those not big on reading!

Collectors box came damaged

This is definitely the best price for the boxed set that I've found. I bought this for a Christmas gift, but when it arrived and I looked it over the box is sliced and damaged. It's so disappointing but at least it's in the back. I at first thought I accidentally cut it but I was extremely careful opening the shipping box and it was on the bottom at a different angle so it was not me.

I would recommend this collection

It's been a while I've wanted to get this collection to read it again. This particular edition is very simple, not hard cover and the paper is also kind of a rough paper but good to read. If you looking for a simple and cheaper collection this is for you. I wanted to get the paperback and also here in Target I found it cheaper than the complete ebooks collection.

great gift for lovers of magic and fantasy

The set showed up in perfect shape in a timely manner. great artwork on the sturdy box that holds the collection and keeps them protected while not in use. all books were in perfect condition and were of good quality. this is my 2nd set of books after already owning the hardcover set. if you love magic and fantasy, then you will enjoy these timeless books. written in such a way that helps your mind run wild with imagination and create the characters, sights, sounds and smells. the joy that comes from reading and creating your own details and letting the story, like a good movie, engross you in a magical journey that should be experienced by anyone of any age that loves fantasy and a good book
