Helinox Chair Zero - Grey

Lightweight and easy to set up; great for backpacking. Like other reviewers have noted it is not very comfortable if you are wide in the hips. I added a cushion on the seat and my inflatable pillow to the back and it made the chair tolerable. I already had the items in my base gear so it wasn't any additional weight. Stability was also a concern in other reviews. I was careful and didn't lean too far in any direction. If I hadn't had to fuss with the extra cushions it would have received five stars. Maybe if I lose my extra cushioning it will be just fine. :DOverall I'm happy with the chair and VERY happy to have it at camp after a long hike.

This chair is worth the money. It's light and it is fairly compact and it's comfortable, more comfortable than the REI Flexlite Air, IMO. What makes this worth the money is that it's so light and compact, you can take it with you..just in-case. We've used this at people's back yard parties when they didn't have enough chairs. I sat it in at the park for about 3 hours while reading when I didn't want sit on a bench. The chair feels stable and solid. I would have liked to try the high back version, but this one does give some back support and allow you to stretch your legs out. I do recommend that you either make yourself a ground foot-print for mud or sand, or buy one. The legs will sink in soft dirt. This chair is game changer! Yes the price is a bit steep but if you want a light chair that isn't going to weigh down your pack you should probably just bite the bullet and get the chair zero. It is quite a bit lighter and packs down a lot smaller than other camp chairs.For the longest time I never brought a chair on canoe trips and would be stuck sitting on a log or rock. Having a chair that packs down to nothing is the best piece of gear to bring along with you. Back support!!!!!! I have used it on uneven ground, sand and snow.
