Every person that plays a trumpet should have one, especially for the younger generation. Trying to teach my son to get use to using it on a regular basis

This is a super sturdy trumpet stand that folds up into a nice, small package to fit in the gig bag.

I already had a Hercules stand for my Flugelhorn. The trumpet stand is just as great as that one. Sturdy and adjustable for whatever trumpet you have.

I own three trumpet stands. I have had a Hamilton KB500 trumpet stand for 20 years. The rubber portion that the bell sits on started to dry-rot and break apart. (I live in AZ where the air is very dry.) I glued some felt to this and it still works very well for my home practice area. When I purchased a new flugelhorn, it came with a free Konig & Meyer 3-legged trumpet stand. I really don't like the K&M, because the hard plastic construction has scratched the bell of my new horn, and it is not as stable as my Hamilton. I suppose the 5-legged K&M will be very stable, but it would still suffer from scratching the bell and being too close to the floor. I like the Hercules because it does not scratch the bell, but its 3 legs are too short and it is not as stable as a Hamilton. When musicians are moving around on stage, I don't want my horn to fall over. I recommend getting a Hamilton KB500 and adding some extra padding/felt; the Hamilton is very stable, very durable metal, and it holds the trumpet a little higher off the floor, so that I don't have to bend to pick up my horn during a gig. Every trumpet and flugelhorn stand manufacturer could have more stable designs and higher quality horn holders. Now that I have some experience, I'm planning to get another Hamilton stand.
This stand is absolutely amazing. My son uses it every single day (for the past 3 months) and has yet to find any negatives.
Happy with this product. Solid, quality build and finish. Stable when in use. Trumpet now permanently sits on it.
This is perfect for tight spaces when I'm performing.
I also have the triple stand version of this. Both are very high quality, well made and nice and secure. They take up more room than some and do not fit in the bell (although Hercules do make one that does, although it sticks out just a bit, so may not fit in your case).
I got it as a gift for my husband. He is a musician, so he uses it a lot. Works for him.
because this stand has only 3 legs you must be sure that the heavier side of your horn rests between the two legs...not where there is only the one leg, or the horn will tip over. Obviously you don't have this problem on 4 or 5 leg stands. It is a good quality heavy duty stand when used propertly.
