Our pug Annie has had surgery on both her knees, and still has trouble crouching to urinate. After 6 weeks on the adult healthy mobility food there is a noticeable improvement. She takes Cosequin also, but that alone didn't do much. Our boy pug, Billy Bob, has spinal spondylosis and is overweight. We are on an emergency weight loss diet, so he is eating Metabolic + Mobility, and is steadily losing weight. When he gets to the correct weight, we may switch to healthy mobility for both of them. I am very pleased with the Science Diet foods that we have tried!

My senior dog hurt his back - was told by vet is was likely IVDD. He was started on steroids and pain meds. He started improving but when he finished taking his medicine he could barely walk. He couldn’t ever get in his kennel by himself. He basically had to drag his back half around. He seemed so unhappy and he seemed to be getting worse. The vet had mentioned dog food specifically for joints. I started giving him this dog food and the difference is night and day. Within a month he is able to run again, climb steps, play around. He is so happy now. I never would have believed it would have made this much difference. I am absolutely amazed. I don’t typically write reviews but this food is too good not to talk about. Well done

Well my 10 year old lab & 3 year old cocker spaniel have been on this food for the past three months. I put the cocker spaniel on this food because she has some knee issues because of how fast she runs and jumps of things sometimes. I put my lab on it for hip problems with dogs this size and age can and will experience normally. Nothing I had tried in the past including supplements had made a difference in either dog. However, after seeing the reviews with people with older dogs I thought why not try it? My dogs were on science diet before hand. My lab of course would be the one to show a real difference and she has. She now can get up on her bed or couch without much stiff leg walking. She runs more and plays more now. She sometimes stretches once off of her rest ... MoreWell my 10 year old lab & 3 year old cocker spaniel have been on this food for the past three months. She sometimes stretches once off of her rest perch but I don't see her just being miserable anymore, she can move like a dog should. The cocker spaniel of course has not slowed down but nor has she had any problems though.I do wish this has a bit more protein in it, since most dog foods these days do. However it has not upset either dogs' stomach which is why I had to switch them to science diet in the first place. I would recommend this food for any dog really, but especially if you have one that is having a hard time getting around because it in the end is about quality of life. I am happy I found this food.

My spaniel was suffering from urinary incontinence, which we thought might be linked to being old and having weak and stiff back legs. We started giving him glucosamine supplements, which helped a lot. But when he nearly died after a casual evening walk, the vet recommended Hill's Science Diet. We saw this version of it and decided to give it a try. He is SO MUCH better! He is so much more energetic and lively and happier. I know he's still old and has to take it easy, but I used to think he only had a few months left to live and now I feel like it could easily be a few years. Yay!
I used to religiously buy Taste of the Wild dog food, until the FDA warned that grain free diets could possibly be linked to canine dilated cardiomyopathy. It had seemed logical before that dogs, as descendants of wolves, are not meant to eat grains. But now it seems even clearer that they are also not meant to eat lots of lentils, peas, and potatoes, ingredients that are very prominent in most grain free diets. And dogs have evolved to live alongside us humans, so they can eat some carbohydrates, as long as they are getting enough meat protein. I knew several people who had always cooked chicken and rice for their dogs, and they were fine. And dogs have evolved to live alongside us humans, so they can eat some carbohydrates, as long as they are getting enough meat protein. I knew several people who had always cooked chicken and rice for their dogs, and they were fine. When I saw Taste of the Wild at the top of the list of brands the FDA named as linked to canine heart disease, I knew I immediately had to switch to something else. But to what? After extensive research (which had immediately followed extensive panic) and reading dozens of dog food ingredient lists, I decided to go with Hill's Science Diet. My veterinarian and also a friend's dad who is a vet recommended Hill's Science Diet as well, which sealed my confidence in the brand. I chose the Healthy Mobility Small Bites, since I have a house full of senior dogs who range in age from 11-14 years old. They immediately loved the food, even the ones with few teeth can eat it with no problem because the kibble are so small, approximately 8mm in diameter or just slightly larger than the diameter of a pencil eraser. I have gone through two 30 pound bags and just ordered a third, and everyone is happy and doing well.
My dog slipped a disc in 2017 and after a series of brutal meds wreaking havoc on his digestive system he wound up becoming a super picky eater. He would only eat canned food for a while but it was so expensive to feed him that as his only food. I tried so many brands with no luck. He wound up liking Nulo’s turkey Recipe dry food but the oil content gave him reflux. I had him on dry rx food by science diet and he enjoyed that so I decided to stick to the same brand and found this recipe. He loves it! He gobbles it up so fast and doesn’t seem to have any issues with it. He’s been on it now for about 4 months. I don’t notice any mobility improvements and it does have one drawback which is that it seems to make his ears get gooey but he enjoys it so I’m sticking with it!
My baby is the pickiest girl in the world and out of all the thousands of kibble I have found we always go back to this brand from hills science "mobility small bites" my baby suffers from arthritis and even had a bad case of IVDD and paralyzation in the past and I gave her this food and she always ate it with ease. She does not inhale it but she likes it enough to finish every piece!!! HIGHLY recommend if you have a small dog who has joint issues or who is a senior. This food is great for her energy too!!! We are currently in the process of always trying different brands/foods because she gets bored easy BUT this specific kibble is one that will always be reliable for my baby when she just cannot decide !!! Highly recommend this!!! Take Gracie's word for it!❤❤❤ ... We've had several problems with dog food over the last few years. There were issues with Dogswell Happy Hips (a product we (and our pup) really loved. So we switched to Merrick (what we understood to be a well-known and well respected brand). Now other consumers are having problems with their dry food. We are hoping the recent change to Hill's will be a permanent solution and are aware that vets have been recommending this brand for years (with so many specialty products for treating various health problems). We feed Nugget both wet food and dry food twice a day and are hoping this is the answer for us. I so appreciate that you make public the reviews and comments from others (negative and positive) to help in our decision making. Kudos to Chewy!
My 14 year old Yorkie was getting arthritis and having difficulty getting around. The vet suggested I start feeding her Hill Science Mobility small bits and she is like a new dog! She loves eating it and I could tell the difference in your in just a few weeks. She has been eating Hill Science Mobility for over a year now and she feels and looks half her age!! I would recommend it to anyone with an older dog! I feel my little angel is going to live a very good and healthy life for a long time. Thank you Hill Science
My dog has been on this diet for about 6 months after transitioning from a prescription urinary diet by Royal Canin. She absolutely hated her prescription food and it would take a lot of convincing to get her to eat it. After she was clear of any issues, I wanted to make sure she still got a balanced diet low in phosphorus and low protein to better match the old diet. She grew up on Hills Science puppy food and loved this recipe. My dog is happy and healthy and I'd like to think it will keep her going longer without worsening her luxating patellas. My dog has healthy bowel movements and good energy levels on this diet and while it is pricey, I can have faith that it's backed by scientific studies and feeding trials so it's doing what it's promised consumers. ...
