Holbein Granulating Watercolor Hazy Moon Yellow is a warm, yellow leaning towards a buff titanium color, and it's created with a combination of at least two different pigments. Holbein's is formulated with pigments that produce this effect, adding visual interest and depth to paintings, especially when depicting textures like water, foliage or landscapes. Ideal for creating textured, atmospheric effects, particularly when depicting foliage, grasses or shadowy areas under moon-light. It is well suited for capturing the nuances of natural scenes, like the way light filters through leaves or the subtle variations in a moonlit landscape, The granulation effect, which creates a textured, mottled look, can be controlled by varying the amount of water used and the paper type. The granulation is more pronounced on rough papers and can be controlled with the amount of water. Holbein Watercolors produced without ox-gall, animal by-products or other dispersing agents, which permits greater color density and brush control.
