It had to run a crap ton of updates for the first few days. Once it finally finished all of those, things ran pretty smoothly. It was super slow before the updates. It was also a bit of a pain figuring out how to switch off “S mode.” Until I figured that out, I was limited to apps in the Microsoft Store to download; everything else was blocked.

I purchased this laptop to replace an old. I did take it out of S mode. I only had this laptop for a month, but I really like it. The battery life and the reliability of this laptop are great so far. This is my first time buying a 14-inch laptop. I didn't think I would like it. I have to admit, I love the screen size. The color is beautiful. It's only been a month, but I have to say I love this laptop.
I literally signed into my google account I just tried to go to my school's web page And it froze. So I'm like OK it has low RAM So I take it to best buy to see if I can get that increased they tell me I can't get it increased so I'm like OK has a flash memory I'm like what about having an SSD installed That can't be done either. So basically you can't download anything on to this computer you can't search any of our current web pages there's nothing you can do on this computer Not watch videos not listening to music not surf the web not watch YouTube watch tiktok nothing. So after 24 hours I am packing it up And shipping it back.
I was super exited to get this... I started it up set it up, did all the updates..I have to say this is the slowest PC I've ever had... I'm not talking internet just in general it's so slow.... to open paint or picture folder or even start menu it's slow....But for writing a book, or doing school it's not bad...just don't expect it to be fast....
I bought it for doing research on the Internet and streaming video. It was fine for about 2 hours, then the screen started to flicker. Item was listed as having windows 10 but it has windows 11 installed instead. Compatibility issues galore.
Works well for an inexpensive laptop. I recently needed to download Zoom & learned I was unable to because it’s in S Mode (I did not realize when I purchased). I might could remove this but didn’t feel like going through the hassle. Picture quality is so-so. I bought it for my daughter for school work and it serves its purpose but I wouldn’t buy another.
Laptop is a little slow sometimes, i thought it was the internet in my house but then tried wifi from somewhere else and it is the same slowness. It works okay for just looking things up on google.
positive: lightweight, CPU fast, RAM 8GB & 128 GB NVM right size for linux, promotion price very good, battery lasts long (decreasing screen brightness).negative: screen too bright in setup (cannot decrease brightness), fan is noisy when it is turned on, up/down arrows on keyboard are uncomfortable (more important than other keys). wifi disconnects in linux (realtek may be the culprit), lots of bloatware (I had to re-partition & erase Windows completely). The HDMI connection does not work with some projectors, Cannot get my Windows license # (please email it).
