It's an oil filter.Take a process that is already simple to do and add the 1 nut removal option and that really just makes this a breeze to do. Speaking on the quality and performance of the filter I can only say I love the build construction on these filters. K&N could be just a name, but for me it is a peace of mind knowing I don't have to worry about the product after installation. I only trust K&N oil filters for my vehicles. Performance wise I can't say I saw an increase, but knowing your vehicle is well taken care of by a quality product is what I'm after.I checked the inside prior to installation and it looked like it would filter oil.

Buyer beware! Walmart keeps shipping these in padded envelopes and they arrive damaged. I have to the return them to my local Walmart. I’ve ordered these on here for a long time now and unfortunately I can’t trust that they will arrive in good condition because they aren’t packaged properly so I will not be buying these from walmart anymore. They are priced higher in store and they are packaged poorly when shipped so I know 1 place I’ll be ordering them from now on and they are priced the same and have 2 day shipping. I will not say the retailers name because I’m not sure it’s allowed but I’m sure you can guess.

Good filter. Works as advertised. I mainly went with it for ease of getting it off of the next oil change. It's rated for 2 x the KM of my oil change intervals. Vehicle was a 2023 F150, 5.0L Coyote engine. Placement of the oil filter on the engine will make accessing the filter with a 1" Socket really easy.
The filter is really great perfect fit. I like that. You can tighten it and take it off with the bolt on the bottom. I wish the bolt on the bottom was a smaller size to make it easier.
I run K&N filters on all my vehicles, both gas Ford/GMC and Cummins diesels as well as my Yamaha 4 stroke outboard and have done so for many years. Never had a problem with any of them. Far easier to remove than any other filter out there. I have also noticed, the engine oil life % as reported on the computers, indicates oil lasts longer than the recommended mileage or time. One thing that I do, every oil change, is inspect the filter removed for the gasket, inspect the new filter's gasket, lube with new oil, and wipe clean the filter seat on the engine, before install and tighten by hand. Once finished I drive each vehicle at normal speeds and inspect for leaks and recheck the level. My vehicles typically have high mileage, never had an issue with any of them ... Best Oil filter I have every put in my car, owned the same car for 9 years (2013 chevy impala ltz) and the quality improvement from this oil filter alone is hopeful! only type of used. So I couldnt compare it to something else. I would imagine the quality of the oil filtering is very good and commensurate with K&N products; just don’t buy it for what might appear to be a convenient hex nut on the bottom of the filter for install and removal. I found that wrenches really don’t grab on to it very well. I’m sure when I have to remove the filter the next time I change the oil I’ll be forced to use a conventional oil filter wrench.
I was trying to install the filter but did not fit. I checked the filter by comparing it with the old one and I found that were different size and the threads were also different. I went to the store and reviewed another filter and I corroborate that it was the wrong size. The part number is correct, the only difference the wrong size was made in Mexico and the correct size are from the USA. Some quality control issues
I am very impressed with these filters! They are so easy to remove and install with the welded nut on the base! I had an old different brand filter get stuck and it ripped off causing damage to the engine assembly. I also cut myself pretty bad with the torn filter metal. With this awesome design, I will never have to worry again about removal.Great idea and a great product!A+++ for exceptional service Autozone!
