Needed an inexpensive, but dependable flash drive for some blueprint scans while on a recent trip to our local OfficeMax. The associate recommended this in a flash... The -1 star is for the sliding cover. It's nice until you go to insert the flash drive into your preferred device. By nature of the design, you casually grip the cover on both sides which inevitably slides forward, not allowing the drive to insert into the PC/laptop. You must then re-adjust your grip and put your thumb on the back of the drive to get the leverage you need to complete the insertion without the cover sliding forward. (Maybe that's why some people call these thumb drives? Another mystery solved!) The performance of the flash drive is nothing special, but also nothing to complain about.

I used three of these devices to download thousands of photos from my desktop's Hard Drive before taking in to Computer Tech for malware removal. These devices downloaded each and every picture and document exactly without a burp or flaw. Great deal and worthwhile insurance on saving irreplaceable documents and photos.

I have some very large files that are too big to email. I really don’t want to add them to Dropbox or other online sites. The HP memory stick is a convenient and cost effective way to transfer the files.
The flash drive was offered for a good price for a solid 64 GB, making it useful to have around for the occasional need for file transfers or just holding. However, it being a USB 2.0 with its slower transfer time may be annoying for frequent usage. The push-in and push-out design also make it a little hard to handle, making it necessary to push on the connection point that goes into the computer, which doesn't feel quite right even if it may be ok.
Purchased product to make a recovery drive for newly acquired computers. Even though not manufactured by HP; still a great product manufactured by a reputable manufacturer.
This small 16 gb flash drive was on sale at a great price. Something you need multiple small flash drives to store categories of information separately. That is why I bought this. Why buy a giant flash drive and pay a lot for it only to put a little information on it to store?
Good USB drive. I use it to get data off a microscope computer running Windows XP. Works fine on that as well as my Windows 10 and 11 computers. No formatting issues, no speed issues. The plastic casing feels strong enough to last a good while.
I bought this brand new flash drive with the hopes of transferring basic files from one computer to another, however, it never worked. Beyond that, it isn’t even recognized when plugged in to any computer. It is very frustrating, to say the least, and I out the money I paid for it.
Easy to use this flash drive, and quickly stored everything I needed for the time -- many photos. It does not have a cap, so if you keep it in a dirty enviro, then you should not purchase this one. If you need something for short-term, this is an inexpensive one but best to have a backup if you are going to need to keep files, etc. for long-term because it has no cap or cover for protection, and fairly low-quality plastic.
