Axe is perfect for me. I needed a axe big enough to swing with both hands if need be but small enough to carry around camping or in the bush. This was it. Craftsmanship second to none, just like the service provided by axeman. Shipped right away, packaged well, arrived fast and in perfect condition

Axe feels heavier in real life than I imagined 0.9kg (2lb) to be (along with the handle at 1.3kg) - was looking for all-around axe to chop and split wood at camp site and this is it!Handle is very nicely made, grain is running parallel with the forces, and seems to be oiled (no lacquer, which is good for grip). Handle fit in the head is nice and solid. Comes with small edge protector.Very-very nice for the money!

This is a fantastic axe. Took it camping and handled all fire-related splitting. Brought with me on a canoe trip to clear sweepers and though it's not meant to be your primary splitting axe I could help but use it to chop some fresh cut ash rounds at the family cottage. The axe is beautiful, everything is well put together ! The handle is a bit rough but a bit of sanding and linseed oil fixed that quite well. And the leather sheath is sturdy and practical. Beautiful axe, had a burr from factory sharpening that I knocked off with some stones but once it was gone it is razor sharp. Same with the haf, t it needed some light sanding and finishing but I understand the axe is from the budget lineup and I don't mind one bit at all, fun short project making the axe my own and polishing it right up anyway.I am slightly concerned about the grain of the handle, about half the thickness has wood grain running the entire length and the other half has grain that runs out the side a bit. From what I've read that would be a weak spot but only time will really tell if it stands up.
