Nearly everything about this was disappointing. From the box to build. Considering that the wired Hyper X cloud 2 is cheaper yet better, how this headset cost so much is beyond me. The cloud 2 comes in a nice box that makes it feel premium and has a metal frame with exchangeable cushion. The flight x comes in a cheap looking box with cheap feeling plastic with very disappointing sound. I tried on multiple devices but it was the same. but i could buy $30 pair of skull candy headphones and couldn't tell the difference between them. Dolby atmos was okay, bass is fine but nothing to write home about. No mids highs or lows. Everything just blended together. The best thing about them is the cushion. They are really comfortable and had no problem wearing them for 4 hours. ... MoreNearly everything about this was disappointing. From the box to build. First off I want to say I do not recommend this headset at all.I bought this for multiple purposes which include gaming and work from home. This headset won't stay connected to the computer or Xbox. You have to unplug the usb and plug back in multiple times a day. I tried to delete driver on the pc and reinstall driver but that didn't work either. USB slots on my computer and xbox are in the back of the devices and such a struggled to do this multiple times a day.The sound and mic quality is good but it doesn't make up for this hassle. I'll be returning this to Best Buy but definitely not worth $159 or for the sale price of $119. For this quality it's worth no more than 20 bucks. I hate writing this because I'm a die hard HyperX fan but I've always had wired ... I've worked from home for a long time and have had a number of different headsets, none of them cheap. These, I feel, are the best. I use them mostly for making calls from my soft phone, and the audio sounds fantastic. The people I'm calling tell me my microphone sounds great, too-very clear. I also use them for listening to music or youtube videos, and while you can definitely get better headphones for music, these do all right. The ear cups are large enough to fit completely over my ears and are really comfortable. I wear them for hours without thinking about it. The only thing that took some getting used to was that they do a pretty good job of sound insulation, which made it so I can't hear myself well while talking when I'm on phone calls. It's really just me not being used to it, but if you're like me and your old headset ear cups sort of sat on top of your ears, this might require a little, like I said, getting used to. In the beginning I was shouting at people, LOL. I haven't run out of a battery charge yet, so I don't really know how long the battery lasts, real world, but I've used them for 4+ hours straight with no battery issues. It's also nice that you can use them while they're being charged--my last headset didn't do that, so I always had to make sure they were charged before going into meetings. Overall, the quality and fit and finish appear good. In short, yes, these headphones are marketed as being for gaming, but they work very, very well for phone calls, if you're calling from a computer.

I was worried I was wasting my money at first, but Wow has this really upgraded my gaming experience overall. They’re really comfortable (and Ibwear glasses) and the sound is great. Crispy and clear Highs and has great bass (rumbling). All of the sound is great, surround sound, and a great microphone too. Buttons are easily accessible and easy to use too.I’m a casual gamer (PS5) and it’s enhanced my game play and makes every game way more immersive. I got these while they were on sale for like $99.But If you have the money, it’s so worth it! No regrets.
I bought this headset after trying a few new ones out in store, before this I had a Corsair Void RGB set.I have a fairly small head as far as noggins go for an adult male and unfortunately I have a really hard time finding headsets that will fit properly without sagging on my ears or pinching awkwardly on the sides of my head. This usually leads to extra fatigue and headaches while gaming for long periods of time. This is why I was SUPER excited to find that this headset fit my head and was ultra light when compared to other headsets in the price range. (If you get neck cramps while gaming try finding a lighter headset! This one weighs about HALF of it's competitors in some cases.)Unfortunately the positives I feel are far outweighed by the negatives with this ... (If you get neck cramps while gaming try finding a lighter headset! This one weighs about HALF of it's competitors in some cases.)Unfortunately the positives I feel are far outweighed by the negatives with this headset. Even when fully charged I find mine randomly shutting off at times, the battery life is great for about 2-3 weeks after purchase and then takes a SHARP nose dive into oblivion. For reference I work from home and my old Void headset was capable, even after break in period, to offer around 15 or so hours of battery life. With these, after 6 months of ownership, I find I can barely squeak 5 out. At that point I may as well just use my 2 year old Void set as I'll expect the same battery life but much better sound quality. There is a quick mute on the left side above the microphone, however there are no indicators that the headset is actually muted. This is unfortunate for those of us in and out of Discord calls all day where the muting function is useful.Unless you also have an unusually small head, I would not recommend these for any type of hardcore use. (Twitch streaming, at home working, etc.)
I must admit I was a little bit hesitant in buying this headset after seeing the low ratings on this site. I'm glad that I did some further research to find out about the product as I think the headset is great. There are SO many options around this price range but I've been using the headset for about 3 weeks now and have some observations: Comfort Despite what some of the reviews say on here, this headset is very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I wear glasses and don't feel any discomfort and the headset is quite light considering it's wireless. The top band provides a good amount of padding and the ear cups fit nice and snug. Your ears can get sweaty sometimes but I think this is the same for all headsets with this type of material. The ear cups can also be twisted so is very comfortable if you need to take your headset off. Sound Quality The sound of the headset is very clear and is especially good for competitive gaming. I find it easy to hear where enemies are located and shooting from in games like PUGB which I didn't have with my previous Steel Series headset. The bass on the headphones is punchy but not too overbearing and is perfect for listening to music around the house. There is a volume control on the side of the headphones which allows for precise volume changes. The only issue I've had with this is sometimes if I am taking the headphones off or adjusting them, I do occasionally change the volume. Range & Setup The range on the headset is also impressive, I can walk down a flight of stairs and almost out into the garden before I start experiencing connection issues. The setup was very simple. Just plugged the USB dongle into my PC and it automatically picked and set the headset as the default device. Battery Life I've not done a specific test to see how many hours I get out of a full charge, but I normally wear them with the ear cup LED enabled (this can be changed from ON, to breathing, to off by pressing the power button). I use the headset for 2-3 hours a day and have to change it maybe once a week. Microphone The microphone is the only thing I'm a bit disappointed with as it took some adjusting to get right. I find if you have the microphone not even that close to your mouth, it picks up a lot of breathing so I have to move it quite far away from my face which means if I'm talking quietly I can't always be heard. I think the additional of a pop filter over the microphone would improve this. Summary All in all I think the headset is a really good bit of kit. I can't explain how nice it is to go from constantly getting tangled in headphone wires to simply being able to move around at your desk without any issues. The build quality of the headset is of a high stand and is generally an all round headset. I would like to see some improvement to the microphone and also the introduction of some software where you can control the audio and microphone settings. There is also no way to see how much charge is left on the headset, it will just start to beep when it gets low but there is no way to tell specifically how much charge is left.
I bought this after my second pair of Rig 800LX headphones in 2 years died in me. Decided to switch brands to this. I got it during a certain sale event at a certain South American forest named company. But I wanted to review it here for my fellow Micro Center people too.Pros1. Sound quality is quite good. It's a bit more clinical than many with a bit of a bump in the bass. It honestly sounds pretty good with excellent imaging.2. Pretty comfortable. Good mix of clamp and weight. I don't get headaches doing it.3. HyperX sells replacement pads, dongles, and detachable mics on their official website. Nice for longevity.4. Good battery life. With the optional green lighting off, it really does last 30 hours.5. The dongle seems well made. No rattling when ... The chat mixer function only works on Xbox.7. The chat mixer function is always nice to have.8. Mic monitoring is available (long press mute button while the mic is unmuted).9. Build quality seems good. No cracks or creaks so far.10. Can be found on sale for as low as $110 if you're patient.11. The connection strength is quite good. I can walk almost all the way through the house with only minimal interference at the furthest corners.Neutral1. This thing has no EQ. That's not the worst thing since they sound good. However, if you must, you can get Dolby for Windows and Xbox for $14.99 total and that includes an EQ that works with this headset.Cons1. Ear pads could be thicker. I ordered a pair of brainwavz to see if thicker pads help. My ears hit the back of the pad and can cause pain after a few hours of play.2. The lights look so cool but also drain the battery literally twice as quickly. I recommend leaving them off.3. Unlike its PlayStation and PC sibling, this variant doesn't have Bluetooth or a 3.5mm headphone jack. Bafflingly, the headset also doesn't work on mobile over USB OTG either.I really like the headset, especially at the sale price I got it for. The sound is good, the comfort is good, the connection is good. It works very well on two platforms with EQ possibilities with Dolby. Replacement parts are easy enough to buy and the ear cups are the same size as the Audio Technica M50x so you can use any replacement pads that work on the M50x.Unfortunately, dumb decisions prevent this from being God tier. Other versions of the flights have Bluetooth and a 3.5mm jack, making them also good for phones and Nintendo Switch. These don't, so they only work on 2 platforms. It's a solid 4 star product. I would recommend them as long as you don't mind only using this on 2 platforms.
-The battery life was pretty amazing and that's needed as they come with an extremely short charging cord. So if you're in a situation needing to charge them while wearing it's out of the question without purchasing longer cord.-This was noticeably the warmest headset I've ever had and it only took about an hour to really standout.-When in came to the sound not to be rude however it had the similarity of kids using a cup and a string to talk to each other.-The removable microphone is good option if your going to be solo gaming.-Earcup RGB "sometimes" comes back turning on the headset even though it was set to off last time. Frustrating as the RGB kills you battery time by a lot.So with battery life and removeable microphone the highlights for me personally ... I should start by saying I've never owned anything from HyperX prior to this headset. My wife bought me these for my birthday this year, which was bout 6 months ago. I took a look at them and my first thought was "I'm definitely returning this" lol....but I decided to be fair and kind to the wifey so I plugged them in. To my complete surprise, they are phenomenal! They're plug and play, with great volume control and superb mic monitoring. That was the big thing for me. When I put headphones over both ears, I tend to talk super load. My friends used to always ask me to stop yelling! But with these I get my own voice in my ears just enough to always talk at a normal level. In regards to comfort, they are pretty good. The top of my head does get a little sensitive ... But with these I get my own voice in my ears just enough to always talk at a normal level. In regards to comfort, they are pretty good. The top of my head does get a little sensitive during longer gaming sessions, which would be alleviated if they had added an elastic band between the top of your head and the main band, but the current design makes them look really good (which is also important to me, as I hate looking like an alien when wearing a large bulky headset)The only thing I've noticed, and it could just be me or the games that I play, is that every 10-15 seconds I get a little bit of digital feedback in my headset, like I'm hearing a bit of the mechanical internals of the console in my ear. The only way to describe it is it's kind of like the sounds you hear when you're booting up a PC. Like little buzzes and high pitched beeps. Most of the time they're quick, like fractions of seconds, but every once in a while they last for longer, like a second or two, which can definitely throw you off a bit. Sometimes I actually have to take the headset off and scratch the inside of my ear to get rid of that tingly/tickly sound.Overall though, these things are incredible and well worth the money!
My son games and codes, and recently we purchased a Mac mini for him because he needed Mac OS for doing some kind of coding on. We purchased a KVM switch with 3 USB ports so he could switch between the Mac mini & the PC. One port for KB, one for mouse and one port for the USB Corsair headset he had at the time. Could get the KB monitor and mouse to work fine switching back & forth, but had no luck with the Corsair USB headset. The I purchased a separate USB switching box, thinking maybe that would solve the problem. But it did not. Finally, I figured I would give this a try since it had pretty good compatibility with MAC and since it was completely wireless, I figured it might be worth a try. It worked. In short- this headset will work on the USB switch being used between a PC w/ Windows 10 and a Mac Mini w/ M1 chip.
