Amazing chair

Used this chair for 4 years WFH.** PROS **: It's fantastic and no more sore back with the supportive lumbar curve even after sitting 8+ hours a day. The leather is really soft and has held up well. I'm 170cm and its the most comfortable chair in the IKEA range. No leather cracking, i use leather cleaner and conditioner for cars once a year on it.** CONS **: In hot weather it doesn't breathe as well as mesh. The buttons on the seat may pinch skin when wearing shorts. Arm rest gets dirty from friction, buttons absorb colour from jeans rubbing. One arm rest foam is tilted to the side now from leaning on it.

Dent in the seat and very loud

I purchased this chair about 8 months ago. It makes a lot of noise, which I have not been able to fix. And now there is a dent on the seat on the front right side as if the material inside is permanently squashed. I was also told that the warranty may not cover this but the final decision is made by the store. I now have to bring it back, fully built with a chance that they won't do anything. Also it is not comfortable. I thought it would be much better since they emphasize its ergonomic qualities. All in all very disappointing, especially considering the price!

Looks good but not the best everyday office chair

After 3 years of ownership the two big problems I have with this chair are the casters and the lumbar support. The lumbar support is too low even with the back in its highest position. I'm 5ft 9in and the lumbar is about 4 inches lower than where it needs to be causing me to lean forward most of the day and create soreness/fatigue in my shoulders and upper back.Secondly, the casters are made to lock in place if there is no weight on the chair. So after you get up it's hard to push the chair under the table. Now after 3 years of use the casters no longer roll freely even with my weight on the chair so I have to hold my table to push or pull my chair into the position I want. All in all I wish I could return this and buy another

Nice lightweight office chair!
16 June 2024

This is a cute, comfy home office chair, with good ergonomics for proper posture while working on laptop. Assembly was quick and easy. Light brown leather is soft and sleek. The only adjustment for me is getting used to rolling chair around when not sitting in it, because wheels are somewhat locked up - but that’s a safety thing, and no biggie! This chair is a lovely upgrade in our home! Thank you IKEA.

Poor Quality Control on What Could've Been Nice
4 August 2024

Chair is comfortable - I loved the in store model - but I've built it twice now and I'm annoyed. The back of the first was incredibly crooked at its connection point to the frame, so I returned to the store and exchanged it. Took about 40 minutes at the store, plus the 30 there and 30 back. Got the new one home - and then the bottom AND back are crooked! Not as bad as the first, but I see it every time I look at the chair. Why should I have to return and rebuild this a third time, wasting all that time and gas, for a product this expensive?

Poorly Designed and Disappointing Chair
10 March 2023

I bought this chair about three years ago now and it has been minimally functional and highly frustrating for the entire time. The appearance of this chair is good, but that's where the positives end. The casters provided with the chair are one of the biggest areas for issues, the cheaply made all plastic construction causes them to bind up and scrape across the floor, adding a plastic safe lubricant helps but should not be necessary. The chair is uncomfortable in all configurations, and has caused on going back pain. This is primarily due to the backrest of the chair being able to twist even when fully tightened. The locking mechanism of the chair only allows it to be locked in an upright position, and not in any tilted positions. I would not recommend this chair, ... MoreI bought this chair about three years ago now and it has been minimally functional and highly frustrating for the entire time. Review after 6 years of use
23 July 2024

I bought this chair back in 2018 and have used it regularly everyday since then. As a full remote worker, a comfortable chair is an essential tool. I’ve seen and sat in chairs 3x the price but I love sturdiness and consistent comfort of this chair. It still feels as comfortable as it did the first day. The leather is really good quality and has aged very nicely. I don’t ever write product reviews but I thought i would take a moment to share my positive review of this one.

Very disappointed
28 August 2023

While this chair is stylish, it does not hold up to standard daily office use. After using this chair almost daily for 7 months, it has developed an extremely obnoxious loud squeaking sound (not fixable with WD40) every time you move the smallest amount. Additionally, one of the buttons on the seat popped off, out of nowhere. Of course, this happened about a week after the "return after opening" day count. This chair costs a lot of money for the quality [you don't] get. Very disappointed and don't think it's worth the price. Buyer beware.

Very very happy with this chair.
26 August 2023

I love this chair. I am under five feet tall and I can sit in it comfortably with my feet on the floor. The arm rests are perfectly placed.Best of all the chair does not roll back and so I can sit in it and use my exercise pedals under the desk. My last chair kept rolling back and so my exercise pedals just gathered dust. Now I can add a cadence sensor to them and use them with my VR headset exercise apps.I have the beige chair which is darker in colour than I had expected but that is good because I was a bit worried it would look like the chair my dentist sits in at their surgery. The chair feels high quality and I am quite optimistic that it will justify its price.

comfortable chair and stylish
1 September 2024

I sat on a lot of chairs to try and find one with sufficient lumbar support for sitting for several hours at a time. most were too firm or hard or high backed and not very exciting. This chair offers comfort with some easy adjustments. you can rest your feet on the base bars if inclined and the arm rests are ergonomic . A little more than I hoped to pay but what price is comfort when your bones ache!
