This processor is beastly for the price point. Don't let the i5 designation fool you - this processor will do absolutely everything you want it to do unless you work in a field where the higher core counts of the i7 and i9 are necessary. If you aren't sure whether you need the extra cores, then you don't. For Joe Schmos like me, the 13600k is a great value and an excellent performer. A couple tips: 1. Look into custom mounting brackets, as these can lower the operating temperature. Using these can be tricky, but it's worth it. 2. Consider setting a limit on the turbo, otherwise it will run at 184W at all times when under load. Air cooling should be enough to keep it cool, but make sure you get a high-end unit! Cheap-but-good won't be enough for the heat this workhorse produces.
