After creating smart map, I have started the Roomba with vacuum everywhere option and it took almost 1 hour to complete the cleaning and returned to the base to empty the bin as well as for charging. With Smart map, there are option to label the floor with names like Kitchen, Living Room, Dinning etc. and it will allow the vacuum only those rooms if needed. There is option to add favorite rooms and with one click Roomba will start cleaning the floor immediately. I was impressed with Roomba I3+ and it has better suction and navigate with specific direction instead of going to random places. It is very quiet during operation and very loud while emptying the bin. It charges very fast on the dock and schedule can be created in the app to perform cleaning regularly. We had rug in living room and Roomba cleaned those areas without any issues. The Roomba i3+ EVO robot vacuum takes care of stubborn dirt and messes with a Premium 3-Stage Cleaning System and 10x the Power-Lifting Suction. The enclosed bag that captures 99% of particles as small as .7 microns and holds up to 60 days of cleanings. The Integrated sensors tell the robot where it can and can’t fit, so it doesn’t get stuck under furniture. Roomba can be integrated with Google Assistant and Alexa. The Braava jet® m6 robot mop is excellent combo with Roomba I3+ to clean hardwood, tile & stone with wet and dry options. It came with 2 Single Use Dry Sweeping Pad, 2 Single Use Wet Mopping Pad, 4oz Cleaning Solution Sample Bottle, Braava jet m6 Robot Mop, Charging Dock, Dock Tray, and North American Line Cord. We have used M6 robot mop with bona and it cleaned the floor perfectly. With Imprint® Link Technology, the Braava jet® m6 robot mop & I3+ robot vacuum team up to vacuum then mop automatically in perfect sequence, giving the floors a comprehensive clean. The robot intelligently knows which mode to use based on pad type. Plus, iRobot new pad technology developed for the m6 uses electrostatic force to sweep & wicking fibers to mop. The iRobot companion app is very easy to use, provides the history, allows to schedule cleanings, see a map of the cleaned space, assists with routine maintenance (ordering pads and reporting on issues) and can play a sound to locate m6 or I3+ Roomba if it gets lost. We were impressed with iRobot Roomba I3+ and Braava Jet M6 Robot mop results and floors are cleaner than ever and highly recommend this combo for hardwood, tile, and stone floors.

You’ll then head to the iRobot app to finish setting up your robots and connect them to WiFi. You may need to let it charge for a while (and apply any needed updates), but after 30 minutes or so, your robot should be ready to clean. ## Performance ### Roomba i3+ If you’re upgrading from a previous Roomba (or other robotic vacuum) like I am, you may be surprised to find that the i3+ includes a “mapping” feature. You can either allow the vacuum to learn while it cleans, or you can send it on a specific mapping-only quest where it doesn’t clean but instead just ping-pongs around your house, keeping track of walls and other barriers. You can then see the map inside the app and section off the rooms and name them. You’ll probably see some hilarious shaped rooms in the app as the Roomba doesn’t know furniture from a wall, but you get a general idea of what the Roomba can “see” around your home. After you name the rooms, you can use the app to have Roomba clean only a certain room, which is handy if, for example, there is some dry cereal spilled in the kitchen and you don’t want the Roomba to clean the whole house just to get to the cereal. The Roomba i3+ seems to have some upgraded rollers and suction power as I notice it picking up more dirt than my previous Roomba. One of my favorite features in the self-emptying dust bin! When the Roomba returns to its base it (loudly) transfers the dirt from the robot into a bag inside of the base. So the Roomba can perform multiple cleaning jobs before the dust bin needs emptying. I rarely used Alexa with my previous Roomba because while I was bent over emptying the dust bin, it was just easier to hit the “Clean” button while I’m down there. However, now that this Roomba empties itself, I might use the Alexa integration more often! I rarely run the Roomba while I’m away from home as I like to be within earshot in case it gets tangled on a cord I forgot to pick up. However, I like that the app notifies you with a push notification if there is a problem. I also like that with the app, you can set the floors to automatically be mopped after you vacuum. It’s like the two robots are BFFs! ### Braava jet m6 Before cleaning, you’ll need to attach a cleaning pad to the bottom of the Roomba (either one of the included single-use pads, or the multi-use microfiber pad) and fill the inside tank with a mixture of the cleaning solution and water. This is my first mopping robot and it is quite interesting to watch it work. It will move forward in a straight line about 2 feet or so, and if there are no obstructions, it will back up, spray some liquid, and then drive the cleaning pad over it, going an extra foot or so while the cleaning pad is still wet. The Braava did a surprisingly good job maintaining the straight lines while it cleaned the floor and probably did a more thorough job mopping than I normally do. :-D It struggled more under the table and chairs, but in all fairness, I’m able to move the chairs completely out of the way to mop under the table so a human definitely has an advantage there. The Braava also does a good job of not overstaurating a certain area and uses the little bit it sprayed on the floor to cover a wide area. You can adjust this in the settings in the app to have the Braava use more or less liquid while cleaning. I set it about in the middle and was pleased with how well it cleaned. I can even walk in the area it cleaned after about 10 minutes without getting my socks overly wet. The Braava has a very low clearance and does not go onto carpeted areas or even the mats under the doors. This also prevents it from spraying cleaning solution down the furnace grate on the floor which I appreciate! I’m also happy I did not have to buy additional virtual barriers that I would have to move between vacuuming and mopping. When it is done, you can throw the multi-use pad into your washing machine or hand wash it so it is ready for the next cleaning mission. ## Summary This combo pack of the Roomba i3+ and Braava jet m6 is a great tag team system for keeping your floors clean! I appreciate the mapping features and the fact that you can set the robots to work in tandem with the Roomba vacuuming first, then automatically handing it off to the Braava to mop. The self-emptying dust bin is also an appreciated upgrade for keeping the Roomba ready to clean at any time.

First, I have to say it's an amazing device and if you have pets, kids or a lot of in/out traffic, I would definitely say this is a good investment because it will keep your floors much cleaner without as much effort! Of course that doesn't mean you set it and forget it.. there are still a few things you need to do.. first you still need to pick up small toys or objects as these can cause issues with the robot.. the small dog rope toys are the worst and the robot gets stuck on them and tries to suck them up. Second, I'd make sure you don't have your dogs out/free as if there is an "accident" I do think really bad things could happen with that accident and cause the worst unimaginable mess you can think of. I personally haven't experienced it but have heard others who have and this unit is no different where it tries to run over and suck up small rubber toys and small rope toys! In our house, we have a combination of area rugs, hard floors and carpet throughout the area upstairs. So far, it's handled the rugs and floors just fine and it definitely does suck up dust, hair and dirt/stuff that's tracked inside. What is cool is that you can direct the robot to clean specific rooms once you have it setup and it's learned your floors/rooms and you can control it via wifi or your smart assistant. It also senses really dirty areas and will go back over them to clean it up. There's a lot of high tech stuff crammed into it because it senses walls, furniture, drop offs and larger/heavier items on the floor. There is one threshold in our house it has trouble with because it's fairly high so that's the one thing I wish Roomba would do is come up with a sensor that could sense that and lift the front of the bot up to navigate across or up on to a rug that's higher off the hard floor. Best part of this unit is it empties itself in to the bin making it much easier to clean up and helping it last much longer between when you have to do maintenance such as emptying it or cleaning rollers as you would with nearly any other vacuum. Also, It does work as advertised and does not fall down our stairs, which is a huge plus. Now, for the Braava jet... I thought this concept was cool and it really does work by helping keep dust off your floors and will help keep them clean by keeping the grime cleaned up. I have noticed it now after using different pads that depending on the pads it does seem to leave streaks/marks where it's been. That's one thing that I don't care for as it makes your floors look like they are dirty when they are not. This could just be the cleaning solution but either way I don't like how it looks. In addition, if you have rugs on your hard floors, and don't pick them up this thing doesn't deal with them well in all scenarios. It does sense them so it won't mop a rug but it could cause the robot to not clean beyond that rug or around it. Perhaps that's something they can update to help the robot "learn" where all your rugs are so it cleans around them and uses it sensors with that learned map to navigate around them. To fix this, I'd recommend setting it on a schedule so all you have to do is pickup your rugs after Roomba vacuums the rooms. What I did is set one to do it Thursday and the mop to do it's duty on Friday when no one is home (which both of these can sense and will stop if someone is home). If you have problems with the streaking, I would recommend using a different pad, and specifically a reusable pad and then reduce how much cleaning solution I use or mix it with water. I wish that Roomba would include their own recommendations on how to work through these challenges as I'm sure there are many others who have the same issues and you shouldn't have to "figure it out" when it's such a large investment to get these machines. These machines do work and work well together to help keep your house clean and make it so you don't have to deep clean as often, especially if you have pets or lots of in/out traffic through your home. If you have hard floors, I would say it's essential because it cuts down on dust dramatically and can go under furniture, in corners and near walls is most cases to clean where dust tends to accumulate (especially in a bedroom with hard floors). The Roomba app makes it easy to setup and manage your robots and set schedules, control them and monitor status/progress and connect them to your smart assistant. In addition you get voice control so you can control your Roomba with your voice as well. Both machines are well built and packed with high-tech sensors designed to deal with most common situations/enviornments. Overall, this is a great bundle and a worthwhile investment. I wouldn't say it would completely "replace" a mop and vacuum but definitely will keep your house cleaner than it would otherwise be without them as you can have them do daily cleanings and even spot cleaning to save you time/effort.

I love this bundle!!! This has saved me so much time and energy and is cheaper than a maid. Roomba Pros: (1) I love that I can map rooms. There are older reviews that say this feature is not available but there was an upgrade so users can now map specific rooms and send the robot to only clean that room, (2) decent cleaning! The thing you have to keep in mind is that this isn’t a vacuum replacement it is an adjunct to a deeper vacuum. This thing does a decent job sucking stuff up, I even tested it by putting various debris on the hard floor and carrot (thinking it isn’t going to get deep into the carpet and it is going to toss the debris around on the hard floor) and was pleasantly surprised! (3) I can pair this with my smart ecobee thermostat & Alexa so when it detects I am not home, it can send the robot out to clean the floors! Can’t really think of any cons to the robot vacuum because it truly beats manually vacuuming everyday and my house feels cleaner (two little kids and shedding dog can make the floors very messy). Braava pros: best invention ever. It takes me an hour to manually sweep and wash the floors and even then I don’t feel like they are always super clean, I live that I can send this mop out every day and get clean floors without lifting a finger. Of course this isn’t going to clean the corners but that is so much more manageable than manually cleaning. I love that I can adjust the mop spray and overlap. It also does a great job at detecting carpet so it never sprays it. To test how well this cleaned I left a sticky spot on my floor for a month. It was so sticky and dirty. I thought maybe after three or four passes the mop would maybe get it clean (husband even told me “the mop isn’t meant to clean that mess and it is NEVER going to clean that mess.”…..one pass! ONE PASS and it was clean. It was a miracle and I am obviously still impressed. Picture 1 shows the dirty spot, picture 2 shows it wet after one pass, and pic three is the dry final result. Lastly, I love that I can send the mop to clean right after the roomba. It makes it so convenient to auto initiate the mopper so I know my entire house will be clean when I get home. Note: I do change the wet mop pad after each clean to ensure I am not just spreading dirt. I would purchase this 100x over.

Our floors look great
6 September 2022

I have children and a cat and also hardwood floors throughout the main living area. I run the vacuum daily and the mop twice weekly on a schedule I set via the app. Additional runs of both are made when necessary. A daily schedule significantly cuts down on allergies for my household. The app was easy to download, set up and customize to my personal needs. The vacuum created a map on its first run and the mop did after two runs. I was able to divide out areas and label them so I can have the vacuum or the mop clean certain rooms, if desired. The mop also allows you to create smaller 'Keep Out' and 'Clean" zones, which will allow you to keep out of specific areas or do a heavier cleaning in an area. The mop also allows you to create smaller 'Keep Out' and 'Clean" zones, which will allow you to keep out of specific areas or do a heavier cleaning in an area. My vacuum is not showing these options and I would really like to see this feature, as my vacuum tends to get stuck on our boot tray. Upgrading from a manual empty bin to the self empty dust is a major plus for my busy family. We were emptying the bin every 1 to 2 runs, spewing dust all over as we emptied it into the trash and now it goes weeks before it will need a new bag. The mop needs to be refilled every 1 to 2 runs and I replace and clean the pad between each run. Overall, I am extremely pleased with how easy this was to personalize to suit my needs. I can use the app to run additional cleanings whether I am home or away which is very convenient. I can clean specific areas by either map or Alexa (you can also use Google/Siri). My cat likes to spend time with the mop and vacuum so enabling the child lock ensures she won't accidentally turn on one of the devices. As far as cleaning, the robot picks up a LOT of dirt and dust every single day, despite the floors not appearing dirty, which was an eye opener when compared to our previous vacuum. I ran the mop every day the first week and now have it set to twice weekly and it also picks up a lot of residue with each cleaning. You can personalize the mop to use 3 levels of cleaning solution and 3 levels of overlap (less, normal, more). There are a few things worth mentioning. The self empty cycle on the vacuum runs at the end of the cleaning. It is loud. Very loud. I was not prepared for this and it happened the first time during naptime. I have scheduled my cleanings to avoid this happening again. There is also a Do Not Disturb function that you can set in the app for the devices. Also worth mentioning is that the mop takes a long time to clean. I run about 400-450 sf on the mop and it takes 2 to 3 hours on the normal overlap, less solution setting. The mop doesn't take the same path each cleaning and sometimes runs with the hardwood and sometimes against and we have one area that it tends to show the wheel marks when it runs against. The mop also can not go over all thresholds and is limited in height. Ours can not cross into the one bathroom or laundry room due to the hardwood threshold. None of these are deal breakers for my family, but they may be for others. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this set. The combination of the vacuum and mop has my house looking clean and refreshed and has significantly cut down on our allergies. The vacuum handles cat hair, dust and dander much better than anticipated and the mop tackles the dirt and grime that comes with everyday life. I highly recommend this set to anyone with pets, kids and/or allergies, or for others simply looking for a combination of vacuum and mop that provide a deeper clean with the ability to personalize.

Power cleanup couple

I've been a Roomba user for about 15 years now and was excited to try this new WiFi connected version. Package allows you to take care of vaccuuming and mopping the floors, however software integration between two robots could have been a little better. For example - the only way to mop after the vacuum is to let Brava (mopping robot) start after Roomba (vacuum) finishes, there is no way to have them go room-by-room right after each other. Both robots do reference their own map and don't share (or don't seem to share) your house map between each other as each robot has to learn the surroundings by itself. Individually robots are doing a pretty good job though! Roomba (the vacuum) - seems to have a few troubles with a real thick carpet I have in the dining room (see photos) even with the majority of chairs removed - it tends to stop at the edge of the carpet and declare a "cliff" emergency asking for help. After manually moving the robot - it does not seem to learn the lesson and goes for the "cliff" again and again. There does not seem to be a way to block off the area of a thick carpet in the app. It does take Roomba about 6 (!!!) hours to vacuum roughly 1000 sq ft of hardwood and carpet are of my first floor so it takes multiple "naps" at the charging station. Cleaning quality is pretty good though and there is almost no mess to deal with - just replace the paper waste bag at the charging station when it gets full. Roomba does seem to bump a lot into walls and furniture though, I would probably opt for a higher model of Roomba equipped with synthetic vision and object recognition (like charging cords or pet waste). Brava (the mopping robot) - machine has an on-board tank for the cleaning liquid (Bona is what is recommended) and a spray nozzle up front. It would spray the cleaner first and then wipe it out with a microfiber cleaning pad that is attached underneath the machine. It only has 2 wheels so 3rd point of contact is the mopping pad itself. While it's doing a great job on the hardwood floor - it is having a horrible time at the transitions between hardwood and tile (Kitchen area) and hardwood and tile just under the fireplace. While flooring surfaces are level - they do have a small transition which throws Brava sensors off. It either can't climb over a transition or is attempting it at 45 degree angle - goes about half way over but suddenly gets "scared" and reverses rapidly. That results in it unable to get back to it's charging station unfortunately and giving up on a job. I really hope it's just a software update fix as I really like the Brava. Overall - it's a great power couple - but I would probably upgrade to a higher model if your home "terrain" is not easy to navigate thru.

Roomba i3 Let's talk about the i3 first. Setting this up was a breeze. The quickstart guide was clear and concise and within 5 mins the i3 was ready to go once you completed the setup within the iRobot app. The first thing I sent it to do was a mapping run, which allows the i3 to learn the rooms of your house so that it has a ‘map’ of all the rooms in your house. This was the first area that I was truly surprised, once it finished the run, you are presented with a map of rooms, which I found to be very accurate. In addition, you are given the option to edit the room borders it created on its run so that you can either delete, add or resize to your desire as well as name each room. This is great because you can schedule the i3 to vacuum specific rooms/ groups of rooms. When it comes to cleaning the i3 does a better job than I would have thought, keep in mind this my first robot vacuum so my expectations might be lower than someone who has used one before. The i3 cleans in a very systematic pattern rather than randomly. It mainly makes parallel paths on its runs going back and forth covering the entire space. I think this is an organized way to do the cleaning rather than completely random, which is something I greatly appreciate. While cleaning not only is it quiet but it has been able to take up most it not all of the dust, hair, and particles I see on my room floors (no carpets/rugs). I even tested it with bread, biscuits and cookie crumbs and it did very well picking them up and even some stuff that was lightly stuck on the floor. An extremely great feature it has is self-emptying. Once the unit has finished its run it will return to home base and you will hear a powerful vacuum sound( almost like a jet taking off) for like 5 to 10 seconds in which the contents of the i3 dust container is sucked up and emptied into the disposal bag inside the charging unit. It does a great job transferring its content and I only wish that these disposal bags were transparent so that we could easily see what's inside, (you might be surprised that it picks up something you wouldn't expect, such as a small earring, etc.) Finally, the battery life seems somewhere between 1 to 2 hours of continuous cleaning, but interestingly if it is running low on juice it will return to its base, charge up and then continue where it left off. I also like that once it has finished a run it notifies you on the app while also showing you the path it took/ the area it covered( in sq ft) and where it picked up a majority of dust and dirt. Braava jet m6 Like the i3 this was incredibly easy to set up and using the quickstart guide gets you done in less than 5 mins. It also works with the same app making it easy for you to control them both from one place. Unfortunately, it doesn’t share the same map that was created when the i3 went on its mapping run so you can either send it on its own mapping run or it will learn and construct the map while it does it cleaning runs. I like the fact that it can identify which pad type has been placed on it and from the app is ready to go with the type of cleaning associated with the pad, i.e dry sweeping pad vs wet mopping pad. So far I’ve only tried the hard surface cleaning solution and it not only smells great but did a great job cleaning my floors leaving them looking fresh. Its cleaning pattern is also similar to that of the i3 with the m6 doing parallel lines as well with the addition of spraying some solution ahead of itself before running over the path and cleaning that area. Unfortunately in some cases, it did leave streaks across the floor and sometimes it didn’t, seems to happen closer to when the solution tank was almost empty but I will need to experiment a few more times to make a conclusion. Together both units look great and I like the dark color option I have selected. They have a textured top and somewhat industrial design and I find them both quite attractive. They are relatively light and easy to move around so you should have no problem repositioning them. Another great feature they both have is that you can connect them to Alexa through the iRobot Home skill with ease. Once you’ve named each unit, you can simply tell Alexa to send them to a specific room or to the entire map, its up to you. I also like that you can set up one unit to run right after the other has finished. So you can send the i3 to vacuum first and then let the m6 mop right after, which is fantastic. Also I must point out that each unit has a clean and a home button, so you can press them at any time and they will begin to clean the area they are currently in or head back to home base. Overall, the cleaning combo of these two units makes a great definite improvement in your cleaning routine. Not only will they free up time since you can automate the entire process, they also do a very good job of getting dust, dirt, and hair while also leaving your floors looking great. I definitely recommend it.

i3 Vacuum a great fit. Braava m6 mop YMMV

With three young children and almost daily cleaning of the house, I was excited to try out a more automated solution to parts of this. The kitchen/dining area and front entry way see almost daily sweeping and vacuuming and would be an easy target to test a robot vacuum. Those same floors get mopped about once a week so it would be interesting to see if the Braava could handle it. With these two devices from iRobot, I was hoping for some synergies - sharing maps, synchronizing cleaning, etc. There is some, but not as much as I expected. With these two devices from iRobot, I was hoping for some synergies - sharing maps, synchronizing cleaning, etc. There is some, but not as much as I expected. Still for many families, this can be worthwhile assuming you have the discipline or luck to be able to tidy floors enough for the robots to not get bogged down in toys or random socks. Out of the box setup for both robots was the same. Place and plugin the base station, set the robot onto it, press power and pair button to make the robot discoverable by the app, configure wifi, and then you're good to do your first cleaning or mapping run. It's been a couple years since my last roomba but after doing the i3 setting up the Braava was a breeze. My initial focus was on the i3 having it first do a cleaning run and then followed by a vacuumless mapping run. The first cleaning was a bit interrupted as the battery wasn't fully charged. No matter, the robot return home to it's docking station with the app giving an estimate to when it would charge up enough to resume. Note, the charging interval doesn't appear to be for a full charge, so depending on the size of your house, it may need a couple. I tried to see if this prediction got better when the i3 had done enough runs to create a "smart map" but I can't say I've seen anything conclusive. You'd want to do enough cleaning or mapping runs to get a smart map as that unlocks a few more capabilities like virtual walls. While the i3 is surprisingly capable at handling random toys and rugs and floor imperfections, it did get stuck on a toy sword under the living room couch and was difficult to rescue. So make sure you really pick up things the robot could get stuck on - and if necessary, once you have the smart map, wall off areas you may not regularly tidy or check for obstructions. My initial plan when the i3 went to do some charging in the middle of it's first cleaning run was that the Brrava could take over mapping. As it turns out, while you can trigger the Braava mop to clean after the Roomba i3, they do not share maps. So, getting to smart map needs to happen independently on all your robot cleaners. Ug. I did one full non vacuum mapping run with the i3 but it honestly made more sense to just do full cleans while building the smart map. On the other hand, as the mop essentially uses consumable items as it cleans, it made sense to have it do mapping runs without actually doing wet cleaning. The i3 did an ok job with vacuuming. It did not pick up everything - tended to leave some larger items on the ground - perhaps big enough that they got pushed or brushed away during a pass but enough that if I could have it run every night, I'd be completely happy. Unfortunately, I can't. And this isn't the robot's fault - there's just a lot of tidying to do before being able to do a full clean. Unfortunately, while you can zone clean manually (do the kitchen while leaving other rooms messy for later), as the i3 needs to traverse those messy rooms to get to the kitchen, one needs to tidy up everywhere prior to regular cleaning. It's perhaps a habit the family can get into, but it will take time. One potential solution would be to make the i3's home in the kitchen or other high touch room. But as it turns out, those are chaotic enough that the robot and it's base would be constantly underfoot. Which reminds me of another synchronization disappointment - I had this idea that the two robots could share a base or somehow be docked together - nope, each has it's own base which takes up a decent amount of wall space. And keep in mind you need clearance to either side of the base so the robot has room to maneuver when heading back to base. The first full clean with the Braava mop was a bit of a disappointment - the floors were slightly clean, but some stains which I normally get out with manual mopping were still there. This made me realize that my strategy of weekly mopping works well for me as a manual laborer, but not my robotic one. For the Braava mop, it's really much better for it to clean the floors much closer to when they're dirty. Where the i3's vacuum let's it handle floor imperfections and not being able to muscle things, the m6 doesn't have that advantage. This renders the m6 less useful than the i3. Running the mop has the same constraints. While the area that needs regular mopping is smaller, it still needs a relatively tidy environment to be able to traverse all the rooms. Where the i3 can handle 2-3 days of buildup between cleans, the m6 strains its usefulness if I can't run it a bit more often. Which is itself an issue - given that I'll need to purchase refills on the mop, it seems that even if I could run it often enough to make sense using the m6 as my primary mopping solution, I'm not sure I'd want that regular cost given that I need to do some manual tidying and cleaning anyway and it's cheaper for me to just do the mopping myself. It turned out not to be too big a deal, but the i3 is pretty noisy when vacuuming. And when docked after a vacuuming session, the base vacuuming the i3 vacuum is even louder. On the main floor of the house where things are rumbling, it seems pretty noisy but it surprisingly didn't travel much vertically. So, while anyone on the same floor will be painfully aware the i3 is out and about, on the second floor of the house, toddlers, wives, and babies can easily sleep through a downstairs cleaning session. So, yes, it will seem obnoxiously loud given the size of the i3 relative to an upright or canister vacuum, but the volume seems spatially contained. In summary, I'm pretty pleased with the i3 and a bit meh on the m6. I think the m6 isn't a good fit for my personal situation but it does a decent job and I can see it being a better fit for someone with mostly tile floors or less regularly cleaning needs where you can readily queue it up to run after a particularly messy event rather than needing to carry out tidying an entire floor every night or every other night in order to get good use. And similarly, by only needing to run on demand rather than regularly to maintain a clean floor, spending on consumables can stay reasonable.

Once you have them both set up on their respective docking stations, you will need to let them charge up. This took me about 30-45 minutes together. Meanwhile download the iRobot app from the App Store for iPhones or Google Play Store for Androids. After awhile they will be ready for connection to your home Wi-Fi network and will be ready for use. You may need to do a quick firmware update for them. My mop only required a firmware update. Now that both were connected to our home network we started them both at the same time using the iRobot app. The mop was setup in our kitchen and the vacuum was setup in our living room. The mop stayed in the kitchen, however, the vacuum crossed over into the kitchen and there were a couple of times they nearly crashed into one another. After about 45 minutes they were both complete and had returned to their docking/charging stations. One thing we noticed was that when the vacuum transfer the dirt from the vacuum to the canister that its extremely loud. I mean its just as loud as a regular full size vacuum cleaner. But again this is only when its transferring the dirt/dust to the canister. Also, something that we noticed with the canister is that you would have to purchase more bags for it. Not sure how expensive this may become over time. I wish there was like a reusable/washable bag that would help cut down on costs. As far as the mop, it did a decent job at best, however, I wouldn't rely on it as the main mop, especially if you have kids or pets. I noticed there were areas that it clearly missed, however, once you run it multiple times it may start to learn the area its cleaning a little better. Overall, we have enjoyed using both the vacuum and the mop over the last week and will continue to use it, but will still also use our main vacuum and mops when necessary.
