I really like this brand of Korean products, they are very effective, made for all skin types, even the most sensitive and very affordable. It also layers well with other skincare products.

Didn't Quite Work For Me

Everyone's skin is different, so this might work for you, but it didn't work for me. I was looking for a lightweight moisturizing serum to use in the morning, that would be gentle enough to use with Vit C and other actives that I use in the morning. However, this has a heavy consistency, and I didn't feel that it absorbed well into my face. I can't be sure, but I think I got a bad pimple from it (it started when I started using the serum). So overall, I didn't see any benefit from it and stopped using it.The product is unscented, and it might work better for someone with dry skin. You do get a lot, so it is fairly good value if it works for you.

Give this a try if Hyaluronic Acid isn’t enough.

I have dry skin but I’m susceptible to hormonal acne on my chin and forehead, as well as clogged pores if a product is too rich. Winter 2023 all of my usual face creams, toners and essences were still leaving me with tight dry skin and flaky patches. I learned about Beta Glucan as an alternative to Hyaluronic Acid, particularly if living in a dry climate. The iUNIK Beta-Glucan serum saved my skin and continues to be a staple in my routine! I can layer it with my Hyaluronic Acid-based toners/essences and it seems to boost their performance. This causes no breakouts on my sensitive and hormonal acne-prone chin, and I find it’s safe to use on irritated patches and post-popped pimples. Good Hydration

I use this serum for extra hydration as I live in an arid climate. Two layers of it is enough to hydrate my skin all day. It is also good for irritation and scraps on the skin. It should definitely be applied to damp skin.It has no scent, and the composition is gel like and soft. It is perfect for sensitive skin or a broken barrier. It is gentle and feels like water on the skin.The only problem is the dropper, which is pretty useless. Also, I wished iniuk made a larger size of this because you can go through it pretty quickly.

It was just okay

I was able to use this serum for 3.5 weeks before it gave me irritation, but that’s likely because my skin is sensitive to fermented ingredients (and beta-glucans fit into that category). It felt nice! However, it didn’t really do much. I patch tested it on one side of my face only, and that side didn’t feel any more hydrated than my other one. Maybe if you know your skin loves stuff like beta-glucans, you’ll probably enjoy this serum. Otherwise, it’s neither good nor bad. There is no scent and the size of the bottle is pretty good. You only need a drop or two for one side.

Moisturizing for sensitive skin

30s. Dry/combo/sensitive skin. I use this in the winter with the beta toucan moisturizer for extra protection/moisture. It’s been great. I wish it was a bit more hydrating but I will 1000% repurchase. In the summer I use it to supplement my summer moisturizer until the weather normalizes. Unscented. Use once or twice a day. Can do the thing thalidomide acid does if you use it on too humid a day and your face gets those little bumps.

I didn’t like it at first because I had red spot appeared first few times I used it. I recommend drying your face before using it. However, I can feel my face is immediately hydrated, the tight feeling after washing face is gone the moment I put this on. It is non greasy and absorb fast. It leaves a layer of hydration with some tackiness that stays for a while. It can be applied in layers and will give you that glass skin look BUT it is sticky! The dropped takes some getting used to (maybe because the solution is very thick). If you put it on your palm and warm it up first, you get more use out of it. Half dropper is enough to cover the face for me. Whole dropper is enough to double layer (or even triple). It completely clear in color and has no scent whatsoever. Works better than hyaluronic acid

This product is great for adding moisture and plumping up your skin. It doesn’t contain any pore clogging ingredients and has no scent at all. Here’s how I incorporate it into my routine: Wash face. Use toning pad. Vitamin C serum. Mist face with a canned facial thermal water spray (this step is a MUST, especially if you live in a dry area. The beta glucan NEEDS water to draw into your skin and plump it up or else it will make your skin dry). Apply beta glucan serum. Apply moisturizer. Apply sunscreen. This product gives you hydrated skin when used correctly and it works so good!
