Sound is great, not a picky audiophile, but reviews about bass issues are sadly true as it has good bass but some songs get messy to listen to at high volume. Occasionally there are glitches with the headset regarding noise cancellation resulting in audio faults but they do occur. I've occasionally had to reset myheadset a year after purchasing because it malfunctions, disconnecting from my phone after periods of inactivity in the on position. Lastly, and why I'm writing this review, the bands that have the company's name on them broke. Actually, the plastic ends behind the bands seem to have began to degrade causing the bands to break and now I worry the headphones will slide out from the band and soon no longer work. In short, build quality after two years of daily usage in Toronto Canada is my concern and has been my concern for other headphone brands as well. Eventually headphones fall apart. This headphone has been the best I've owned and the most expensive I've purchased ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . It has lasted me the longest from "reputable" brands like Sennheiser and Sony which have lasted a little more than a year between them.I do recommend purchasing these headphones for the following reasons: 1) CALL QUALITY!!! can't say it enough. 2) The mute button!!! 1000% needed you don't know you need it until someone is about to say something in appropriate while you're on a call. 3) battery life 35h of glorious battery life that when dead you can still charge and use your headphones Bose can't do that. Other honorable mentions include: type c charging, swivel to wake, convenient physical button placement, water resistant material still try not to get them wet... Trust me ಠ_ಠ... and use the case when not in use you might get more than 2+ years from them... I didn't and I'm ranting to you about this mistake just do it.Side notes: if you have an average sized head I think you'll be fine. Wouldn't recommend any headphones for the gym, better to go with earbuds that clip to your ear in my opinion, but to each their own.Where this product call quality preforms poorly is in areas where the wind whistles or where there's a lot in your area like walking over bridges or around tall buildings, my experience.Currently considering buying a replacement pair, original purchased in late 2019, no headphone in this price point has matched it's functionality in 2021.Buy this headset if you want a fairly durable set of headphones, the best call quality in my opinion, and the best battery life I've seen in wireless headphones.Peace

Picked this up on sale after I picked up the 7 Pro earbuds and loved those! It's been over a week of fairly steady use (not continuous and I haven't had to charge them!)Battery life is amazing, sound quality is amazing, the case is a great addition!Overall I recommend this 100% the pairing is easy and has no connectivity issues. The design with the folding and power on/off swivel is nice as well and feels luxurious.I picked them up to have over ear headphones with ANC so people can see when I have headphones on as opposed to earbuds to quit talking to me and it works well! I plugged the cord into my shockwave CD player and the sound quality with these plus an actual CD as opposed to mp3s... mind blowing. The perfect headphones!

I started the return process in January 2022 and I sent this pair in as well. This time the return process took 5 weeks total and I had to contact Jabra after my headphones were sitting at the return warehouse for a week.In March I finally received my third, new in packaging, replacement pair. These had the same charging issues out of the box! They would not charge above 60%. When I charged them with a 5v block the charging LED was solid green after a few seconds regardless of what the battery readout said when I turn them on. When I charged them with higher rated blocks the LED light pulsed like it was charging but after being plugged in overnight they still wouldn’t charge over 60%Instead of exchanging my headphones AGAIN, Jabra refunded me for my full purchase. I had these less than 1 year and I only had functioning 85h headphones for 8 out of the 11 months.Totally unacceptable for MSRP $250 and a company that wants to be taken seriously with the big guys in sound quality. Buyer beware. TL/DR: You may save some money when the Jabra 85h go on sale from time to time, but that difference in cost when compared to other high end ANC headphones is not worth the hassle/reliability issues.

My head is rather large but these earphones are somewhat competitive for the price point. If you cannot afford the Sony wh-1000xm3/m4 's these are a nice alternative. However, if you have a large head or a lot of hair I cannot recommend these. I really enjoy Jabra as a company as I have the 65t and 75t active but have run into problems with all three products. However, if you research a problem with any of their devices there are solutions out there. The 85h's I bought used did have a battery issue (not being able to charge past 40% but I cannot complain since I paid less than half the MSRP.
The Jabra 85h occupy a meaningful but increasing slim niche in the noise cancelling wireless headphone market. They are cleverly designed, have a number of excellent features, and perform well in almost every circumstance. There really isn't much to complain about when it comes to the headphones unless you compare them to the class leaders (such as the Sony WH-1000xm3-xm4) where they lag behind in sound quality and (most notably) ANC performance. All told the 85h are a wonderful set of headphones but they are better evaluated as simply wireless headphones than ANC focused headphones simply because they can't deliver anything close to class leading isolation.First some pros:Unobjectionable and well-balanced sound quality that carries across all genresRugged ... The likes of Bose and Sony (not to mention more expensive models like Bowers and Wilkins or Bang and Oulfsen) offer noise cancelling that is so far what these headphones can accomplish that I would not feel comfortable recommending these headphones to someone whose primary goal is isolation. They do however make for a wonderful companion in work-from-home or office settings (Jabra is first and foremost a communication company after-all!). They are better than all of the relevant competition when it comes to microphone performance and work well with zoom and hangouts (although they sadly lack compatibility with Microsoft Teams). Further, as they have excellent battery life (coupled with quick charge and USB-C) I never once felt pressed for battery life even during grueling work weeks. They are also capable of taking a beating much better than the more delicate Sony's. As they are waterproofed both on the inside and the outside and feature a lovely fabric material which cannot be easily scratched or torn I never had any concern when taking these headphones to the gym, throwing them in a bag, or wearing them in light rain or snow. This makes them a good deal more versatile than any other model I've come across. To conclude, if you want a flexible, tough, and well-designed set of wireless headphones for work, travel, or daily life, these will serve you well. If you need powerful noise cancelling or want to do serious critical listening look elsewhere.

However, the missing key features are as following; 1 a lack of higher Bluetooth Codecs, 2 no audio over USB C, 3 ANC performance could have been more better though it’s NOT missing here, and last 4 but not least, the Jabra Elite 85H Over Ear Wireless Noise Cancelling are slightly heavier but that would not be a big issue at all in my opinion. Inclusion, despite the lack of high-quality codec support, these headphones sound fantastic. If you want an accurate reproduction of sound that matches the depth and spatial awareness people naturally experience, then you would be enjoy this Jabra Elite 85H. Hope you got some ideas now to make your purchase decision based on above information.
I'm a prolific buyer of headphone and earphones, as I tend to use particular products for particular activities, gaming, work outs, commuting, general listening etc. So I was interested to see how the Jabra Elite 85h would fare. I've now been using these headphones over a number of weeks and have to say I'm very impressed. The first impression is definitely impacted by the packaging and the unboxing experience. Its clear that Jabra have used quality materials in producing and packaging this product. Its clear that Jabra have used quality materials in producing and packaging this product. The headphones are packed in a beautifully slick carry case and come with a USB-C charging cable and a 3.5mm headphone cable, enabling them to be used wirelessly or wired which is definitely a bonus. The Jabra Sound+ app is not essential but helps you to get a better experience with these headphones. You can use the app to control the level of noise cancellation depending on your varying environment and surroundings. It can also help you choose a sound profile and to display the battery level, its definitely an interesting and novel way to listen. In terms of comfort, they really are a super snug fit and this really assists in the already pretty good sound quality. I've had a few over the head earphones and I have to say these come out pretty far at the top! Going back to the noise cancelling function, it would be remiss of me to not go ointo a little bit more detail. These headphones come with three core settings; Active, HearThrough and off. The HearThrough setting is perfect for times when you want to still be able to hear some if the noise around you, with a little toddler to keep an eye on, this is useful! I should also add that I have been super impressed by the battery life on these headphones, requiring minimum recharging and a voice reminder to recharge! Similarly the Bluetooth function is brilliant, allowing me to go quite far distances without being affected. The sound is crisp.
So here's the skinny on these. Easy set up. Connects to Bluetooth seemlessly. The app is solid and you can customize and create your own "moment" and then save it. Sound quality is crystal but to a person with relatively poor hearing I'd suggest maximum volume is a little low. Noise cancelling is decent: I used these on 2 Porter Air flights and they were prop planes and these did a good job. The only beef (as mentioned by others) is that on occasion, there is a sudden, unexpected "pop" sound that can present and you never know when it might come up and it's startling when it does as you are never expecting it. I find that weird. On sale, these remain a great buy.
Overall, I like them. Good audio quality, comfortable, long battery life. However - the main reason I have these is for noise cancelling while connected to my laptop. These headphones are optimized only for phones/tablets and you cannot easily pair back to a laptop. In order to use these wirelessly with my laptop I have to factory reset and then repair. And then do the same if I want them to connect to my phone. Not being able to be paired - or start bluetooth pairing without a factory rest - is such a waste of time. The ANC feature is only okay - better at high volumes and not really good if its just an ambient or instrumental track. If you only plan to use them on a phone/tablet - they're great. If you want to multitask with work/personal - then there are ... There are some really great well written and detailed reviews on the Jabra Elite 85h headphones. This won't be one of them lol. Generally speaking, I'm rather impressed with this headset. Hubby and I usually research the heck out of our more expensive purchases but I wasn't finding exactly what I was looking for. I usually opt for gaming headsets and prefer a boom mic to built in. I'm a bit old fashioned and built in mics haven't done well for me on my client calls for work. Gaming and music sound is important too as I use them for video games and music while I'm working to help me focus. I needed a solution quickly as our son borrowed my set and destroyed them in less than a week. The Best Buy guy recommended these and I know Jabra has been a good name brand over ... I'm a bit old fashioned and built in mics haven't done well for me on my client calls for work. Gaming and music sound is important too as I use them for video games and music while I'm working to help me focus. I needed a solution quickly as our son borrowed my set and destroyed them in less than a week. The Best Buy guy recommended these and I know Jabra has been a good name brand over the years so I took the plunge. The fit and comfort of these is great for my chubby but apparently small head. My last pair was Corsair, which are awesome, but I've found most Corsair headphones are just to large for my head and flop around even when sitting at my desk. I stuffed these on my head and they felt amazing! I read through the features and I have to say, they are pretty cool, though I haven't tried most of them out yet. So, why the 4 star rating and not 5 star? It's simple. These headphones are specifically geared towards mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets and not full blown computers, which blows my mind. Laptops are mobile, and while I'm not going to walk around town with my laptop out and in use, I do carry it from room to room and on the occasional business trip. I do nearly all of my work on my computer for both my full time job and now running the family farm business and as much as I enjoy smart phones, really dislike having to use them for CRM management, calendars, data management, equipment maintenance, general business management and pretty much anything along those lines. Not to mention cell phone service where we live is sketchy at best. Using my smart phone for client calls isn't an option, calls drop all the time. I use my computer for these calls, whether it's through ZOOM or any other conference call app. I was really disappointed to find that these headphones are not supported on Windows 10. They may function and they may not. If they do, yaaaay for you and most of the cool features aren't expected to work. If it doesn't work, the best you can get from anyone including Jabra is Windows 10 isn't supported, these are designed for mobile devices. This feels like a major cop out to me. Mobile OS devices like smart phones and tablets haven't replaced computers just yet and aren't likely to in the near future. So if I'm buying a $250 pair of bluetooth headphones, I'm fully expecting them and all of their features to work with any bluetooth enabled device. Let's face it, if I found these worked for my bluetooth enabled computer and laptop but not my smartphone, I'd be equally annoyed. I'm sure I'll find a respectable compromise with these between my computers and phones that won't make me want to hurl them out the window. That and $250 doesn't just grow on trees. The short version of this is if you are looking for a great set of noise cancelling headphones for music and phone calls and primarily use your mobile OS device for these things, the Jabra - Elite 85h are a great choice. If you move between your computer (desktop or laptop) and your mobile device for music and calls, do a little homework and research and see if the shortcomings for these are something you can live with. I will say, I am excited to take these for a spin this spring and summer in the farm tractors. It's not like I use a laptop while running the farm equipment lol.
