Jabra Evolve2 65 MS Stereo - Headset - With Charging Stand

At our office we've had 9 or 10 pairs of the Jabra Evolve 75 headsets for a number of years, which unfortunately have seemed to start failing with the common mic issues after about 3 years. We've been replacing them as they fail at great cost.I took a chance and went for the Evolve2 65 over the 75 when replacing mine, as they are basically the same price if you shop around. Honestly, I can't say I'm particularly impressed. Yes, they are a sleeker and lighter design, which does make them quite a bit more comfortable to wear all day (I have mine on between 4-6 hours every day), but that also equates to them feeling flimsy in comparison to the Evolve 75. Also, you lose the active noise cancellation feature that the 75 has. The case is also softer and less protective than the older model, which may or may not turn out to be an issue (I cart mine around in my bag every day).The standard Jabra stuff is all there though, exceptional battery life, dual Bluetooth connection (which is a killer feature for us, connects and takes calls seamlessly from both PC/Teams and mobile phone with zero fuss), reliable Bluetooth which never drops out.Not a bad product from Jabra, but they could have done a little better at the price point.

This works great and the sound quality through the Link380 is great for music and calls, with colleagues mentioning this sounds far better.The only two gripes I have are:- The audio quality for bluetooth devices - this is due to only supporting the basic SBC audio codec. Works great for calls, but don't expect high fidelity for music from your phone. I had done my homework and this was accepted because bluetooth music wasn't the focus and it still sounds good through the proprietary Link380 BT adaptor, though)- My big head seems to mean the pressure on the ears is a bit uncomfortable after long periods (3+ hours). This was my concern with on-ear, but the over-ear Jabra equivalents are far more expensive. This is easily remedied with a break or two. Again, self inflicted.

A worthy upgrade from Evolve2 40 to 65

I tried an Evolve2 40 which proved to be a headset with good quality microphone and stereo speakers. To allow flexibility to move around, i bought this Evolve2 65 with a usb-c dongle that fits in my phone and laptop. It was the only usb-c one at that time and have not been disappointed. One of the useful features is moving the microphone bar to mute and unmute calls without fiddling with buttons.

Great Wi-fi headset. Better for me than the Evolve 75's

If you're weighing up this vs the evolve 75, then it comes down to pros and cons. Pro's: 1. no sore ear drum! - with the evolve 75 I would get a sore ear after, say, 30minutes of use. 2. Much longer battery life. A week instead of a day. 3. Seems to stay linked at longer distances. 4. A little bit cheaper. Con's: 1. The evolve 75 has a really snug, yet adjustable fit on the head. The 65's don't, the ear cups kind of swivel around and can take a bit of fiddling around. 2. The mic boom is kind of short on the 65's, it touches my cheek sometimes and can get caught in glasses when you're wearing glasses. 3. I'm not sure the mic quality is as good as the 75's for people clearly hearing you, not tested in any way really. The ear speakers sound as good. 4. I had high hopes

I currently have a Jabra headset and thought this more updated would give me the flexibility of moving around while working. I do work in a call center and unfortunately this was a wasted product for me. The headset volume is super muffled for my liking, there little customization when it comes to fitting the device on your head and ears which overall makes it uncomfortable. It also slide down my head consistently. I would think that when having a larger head that this wouldn’t be an issue. The only plus is the fact that I can raise and lower the mic to mute the device and it holds a good battery life. I’m honestly hoping I can return it. Good service from Headset Advisor… not so good device from Jabra.

Jabra Evolve2 65 MS Stereo + Charging Stand, USB-A, Black

I love Jabra products, but I am already missing the old version of this headset. They are not as comfortable, the material makes my ears quite hot. I have also had some issues with Teams integration and automatic audio control/muting when you move the mic. I often have to move the mic up and down in order for the audio in Teams audio to work properly. It's very fiddly. Sometimes too much tech and too many options is more problematic. I would say this is the case with this headset and perhaps unexpected.

Bought this as an upgrade from the Evolve 65 (not 2) and unfortunately its overall a downgrade, despite being constructed very nicely with premium feeling materials and a great build quality - I wanted to love it!There are 2 x major issues:Firstly, the mic is right side only, whereas the previous model could swing both ways (I prefer on the left side). Maybe not a deal breaker for some, but I just found it constantly annoying.Secondly, the previous model has a hard headband which gradually built up pressure on the top of my head and become uncomfortable after a few hours. Big sad.I also have an Engage 75 which is almost perfect, but it is tied to the dock for Bluetooth and PC connectivity, so you can't really use it for travelling. Still chasing the holy grail of headsets... Looking at the Evolve 75 it looks like it might suffer the same issues as the Evolve2 65.

He works from home but sometimes he travels to Sydney and needs to work in an open plan office and conduct meetings so he uses the headset for this. I wanted a headset for him that blocked out noise. I debated between this one and the one up from this that had noise cancelling. For cost reasons I purchased this one but I was concerned it would not block out as much noise as the reviews stated. Last week he used his headphones for the first time in the airport lounge. He said the headphones work a treat! They allow you to maintain a sense of professionalism when conducting a meeting when not in a private space. The headphones are excellent!

Nice Headset ... but it doesn't work with TEAMS

I have heard a lot about Jabra devices and was really looking forward to this headset being the answer to my company's switch over to Teams Voice. The device was well packaged and I installed the Jabra Direct software. I immediately noticed the headset was very comfortable and the sound quality was very good.I noticed the Teams button on the right earcup and when a Teams call came in, I pressed the button ... nothing ... just a click ... no remote call control from the headset.I searched for a Jabra customer support phone number and was pleasantly surprised to find one on their site. I gave the number a call and wow, someone immediately answered the phone. That is when Jabra support changed to avoid and deflect mode. Time went by with no response from the Level 2 team, so I sent an email. At that point, Jabra began blaming Microsoft, my PC, everything but their product. I went to the internet and typed Jabra Evolve2 65 Remote Call Control not working with Teams and found hundreds and hundreds of posts with users having the same issue going back more than one year. Many them experiencing what I found, i.e. Jabra pointing fingers at Microsoft and walking away.If Jabra wants to say a device is Teams certified, then it should work 100% as intended. If it knowingly does not, then they should stop selling the device, or immediately determine the cause of the issue and prioritize a solution. Seeing that users have had this problem for a year is a big problem for me.If someone else had posted this information before I purchased this product, I would have saved a lot of frustration, so that is why I am writing this. If you want a device that works fully with Teams, at the time of this writing, the Jabra Evolve2 65 does not.

Perfect fit for what I was looking for

I wanted something comfortable that I could use for work, but that also satisfied my desire for a headset for personal life. I needed something over ear and I really prefer to keep one ear open to the world around me.Sound quality is good. Mic is good. I get a little ear strain from wearing he headset all day, but frankly I expected that. I got the webex enhanced and I like that it interfaces so nicely with the controls in webex reflecting when I'm muted or not in the meeting. I find it delightful that I can control whatever phone music app is open on my phone from the headset. Delightful.I like that the bluetooth is active for two devices which makes switching from work to play easy. I haven't had to switch back and forth between the two and the couple of times I did I kind a flubbed it, but I haven't explored much to see if it's user error or complicated interface.The range in my apartment is acceptable. I can be about two rooms away from it. My apartment is long and thin and has a lot of brick. It does get pretty crabby if I get too far away from the computer. That's not a deal breaker for me though.All in all I love it, and for how much I use the thing, and how desperate I am to have my hands free and be able to walk about it's great. I love it!
