I want to start this review by saying: 1) I hate jasmine, and 2) I hate cigarettes. Despite that, this fragrance has won me over. There’s something so gorgeously earthy about this. It smells like walking home after a night out when the weather is just beginning to turn from Spring to Summer. Plants are blooming, but the air is slightly chilly and nippy. The note of tobacco does ring true to the name, so I would not recommend this to someone who has a bad association or history with the smell of cigarettes. And like all perfumes, this scent could wear completely different from one person to another. You could smell like an effortlessly cool girl at a rooftop bar. Jasmine et cigarette by Etat Libre D'Orange is a sexy and.seductive tobacco scent that perfectly evokes a feeling of confidence. The notes of jasmine musk and apricot give this scent a sweetness thats so mature and balances the hay tobacco and cumin. The perfume it self smells like the person accross the bar who bought you a drink, as you rush over to thank they disappear the smell of thier cold pack.of cigarettes and clothing lingers on their seat. First spray of Jasmin Et Cigarette smells exactly like cigarette ash specifically - not the tobacco but the actual grey ash, with jasmine essential oil next to it. It quickly dries down to a sweet apricot and tonka bean with the ash becoming more of a dry tobacco, and the jasmine carrying across very mild. This fragrance is unlike any other 'jasmine' scent I've had, it's definitely unisex not overly sweet or floral as a woman I find a very sexy and seductive scent to wear and it's a great night time perfume I always reach for it on date night! What I like about this is it's long lasting but not overpowering, it's a very unique scent!

Jasmin et Cigarette is a wonderful way to step into the world of niche perfumes. Jasmin et Cigarette is not for the faint of heart, lots of jasmin upfront but there is that soft, ashy cigarette in the background. I often imagine it as something you would find a stunning Farrah Faucet type woman wearing out on the town in the late 70’s early 80’s. But not in a dated way at all. This woman is the life of the party, confident but approachable. She would be seen at Studio 54 laughing it up until 3:00 in the morning, and looking amazing the whole time. That is what a good niche fragrance does, it creates a story, and Jasmin et Cigarette certainly does that.

One of my fave scents - light almost Parma violet ish floral (not like a skanky/animalistic Jasmin, quite fresh) mixed in with the sweet smell of unsmoked tobacco. Smells like a petulant teen girl rolling a ciggie in church. Goes well with a leather jacket and red lip. It’s a boy-killer!

Opens with a bit of smokiness, but fades away quite quickly. Jasmine is sharp and almost metallic, then dries down very soft and powdery. Feminine and mysterious. Sharing powder compacts and cigarettes and far-fetched stories at the back of a bar. Not as dirty-astray heavy as I would have liked?
