Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal Absolu Parfum Concentre 50ml

First of all, can we talk about that BOTTLE?! Wow is it gorgeous- right down to the box that it is packaged in. I love the sexy legs on the cap and the ombré gold into amber for the bottle. It’s just beautifully clever marketing. However…This is a hard one to sell me on. At first sniff I like it. But the more it lingers, it starts pulling out some very bold notes that are a little bit too intense for me. I can picture wearing this on an evening when you’re feeling frisky and empowered and not afraid to be the only thing that people can smell (not in a bad way- it’s just an exceptionally forward scent). Only once it settles do I start to get the notes of fig and it becomes quite sweet, without that initial overly-sickening floral scent. I would consider this a more mature scent for myself and I’d wear it for special occasions. I personally wouldn’t make this my every day, signature scent.In terms of lasting power, I do not feel this has the longest stay on my skin.
