I purchased this product back in December and the first units cutter head was proud of the out-feed table giving me concave edges on my jointer boards. I called Jet and they immediately stated there were no adjustments that could be made since the out-feed table is fixed. Customer service was great and they sent me another unit free of charge. The new jointer has the same issue. I will be returning and get a floor standing fully adjustable jointer.

My space is limited so I took a chance on this jointer knowing it's "shortcomings" of such a short table and also a fixed outfeed table. The helical head cutter and the cast iron table and fence are awesome. Assembly was easy and once I bolted it down to the cart, the setup is extremely solid. This machine is a little over 70lbs. Fence was easy to square. Ran some mahogany through it and was pleasantly surprised. It runs quietly. The only reason for 4 stars was that the table could be a few inches longer. Luckily I won't be making any large projects, so this will work out nicely.

The unit arrived via UPS in an undamaged box. However, I discovered that the drive motor mounting screws were all out and the drive motor was loose inside the unit. The mounting screws, also inside rattling around looked too short. So, the drive motor needed to be remounted and realigned. Further, the infeed table was very poorly aligned with the cutter head and the outfeed table, requiring more time to remediate. After about 10 hours of remediation, the unit does work. However, based on this experience, I will not purchase another Jet product nor will recommend them to anyone else.

Excellent jointer. It is loud and and does need a dedicated circuit, but well worth the price. Hooked to a dust collector it is dustless. True helical cutter head and therefore cuts are very smooth.

Easy to assemble. Set depth of cut and it was ready to go. Love it.
Very nice clean cuts. Precise out of the box. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the paint on the body is poor. Any bumping of the paint will chip it which matters in a bench top as I move it around. Overall, very good
I really like the helical blades and it runs really smooth with fine adjustments
